I called this company based upon the very high scores of satisfaction by other people who also used and reviewed the work of Modern Appliance on this website. Also, they have repaired a lot of dishwashers so I felt they had a lot of experience and knowledge about them. It was easy to contact Peter at Modern Appliance to make an appointment to fix my dishwasher about a week later. The bottom of the dishwasher was not draining and I already knew that someone had accidentally dropped a bowl of popcorn kernels into the dishwasher to cause this problem. Peter arrived at my house as promised between 11 a.m to 1 p.m He was able to find and remove all the kernels from within several difficult to access parts within the dishwasher by using a suction pump and after about an hour the dishwasher draining cycle was working normal again. So now we don't need to buy a new dishwasher. Peter did a great job. Thank you so much Peter. I would definitely call his company if any of my other household appliances have a problem in the future. Peter told me that he also installs new appliances. Good to know this..

I hired Peter to fix Kitchenaid stove element switches. He is straightforward to communicate and very knowledgeable in his field. Peter arrived on time and took time to diagnose and repair everything properly. I would highly recommend Peter for any appliance repair job.

Peter has come to our rescue many times and always given us good advice whether to repair or discard and luckily this time our washer was able to be repaired! Our washer, which is at least twenty years old died. We were hoping to repair it, but not sure of what to do. Peter came out and offered very sound advice for which we are grateful He was honest about the condition of our machine which saved us wasting money. He was patient with my numerous questions. He offered companies that would help me & also advised on how I could do the repair myself based on the problems I was experiencing with my washer. Peter was professional and courteous. Showed up on time despite the bad weather. Was very kind and personable. Only changed the part that's needed and not just guessing around. Worked around with the limitations I had with my washer closet without having to unnecessarily take apart things. Overall very satisfied customer. Will use him again for sure

The baking element in my Frigidaire overheated and snapped in half. I called Modern Appliance because they were recommended to me. Peter was quick to respond to my email message, ordered the part that was needed which only took a day, then was at my house to replace the element all within a couple of days. Efficient, courteous and professional service. He tested everything and I fel assured that my oven was back in working order. Highly recommend!

My oven controls suddenly became unresponsive, making it unable to take any commands. I contacted Peter via Homestars with some general details. He responded very quickly and was able to accurately access the issue based on the information in my initial message. After a couple of calls to set the date and confirm details, Peter showed up within the agreed on time frame and quickly made the necessary repairs to my oven. Overall it was an easy and pleasant experience working with Peter.
