Our oven had stopped reliably coming to temperature or holding temperature. Peter was able to identify the likely culprit, and came prepared with the right part. He was able to fix it quickly and checked to make sure it worked as expected. Peter arrived within the agreed time window and was very efficient. I'm rolling out a pie crust now to celebrate with quiche.

Peter diagnosed and repaired a power issue with our electric dryer. He provided a prompt, courteous, professional service, and was able to troubleshoot a tricky intermittent problem and provide an economical solution. Heartily recommended.

GE Cafe series double oven less than 3 years old needed a new igniter in the lower oven. Several companies I called didn't service the downtown Toronto area but they recommended Modern Appliance. Peter called me back after I left a message. I explained the issue and Peter diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. He said it would take a week and we made an appointment then to do the repair. He was on time and did the repair quickly and efficiently. He also explained every step of the process to me and was able to indicate why the igniter had gone so early in it's supposed ten year life. My washing machine crashed on Thanksgiving Sunday! So I went to HomeStars immediately and left messages with 3 recommended companies, expecting to hear back Monday or Tuesday. Within an hour Peter phoned, asked questions to determine the possible nature of the problem, gave me a confirmed appointment Monday and said he'd bring the parts he might need with him in order to save time and money. He was on time, courteous and diagnosed the likely cause promptly. Unfortunately, it was an electronic problem (computer glitch) which would be an expensive part, not economical for this "old" machine. When I indicated I'd been thinking about replacing the washer/dryer soon, he used what I'll call an "override" to get the machine going again, alerting me that I would have to avoid using the "pause" in the program or the problem would reoccur. Given that replacing the computer would have been very expensive, I am shopping for a new washer/dryer and the current Bosch is working just fine while I deliberate. He also generously shared his experience with the newest lines of washer/dryers from the service perspective, which I found particularly valuable. Peter saved me money and gave me excellent advice. I'll call him with any other appliance repairs I have and recommend him to friends and family. Thanks Peter!

Peter responded quickly and came over to fix my Bosch washer that was not draining. Determined that the drain pump needed to be replaced. Ordered the part and set up another time to come back to replace the drain pump. Quality of work was great, he was friendly, courteous, and professional.

Peter did an excellent job from the start. He returned my call within 1 hour unlike many other companies that did not. He was polite and asked a lot of questions about our issue. When I gave him the answers he seemed to be able to figure out our problem. He showed up on time and with the exact part needed to make the repair. He gave us valuable tips and we would definitely recommend Peter to anyone looking for a honest and efficient repair. Job Well Done

Responded quickly and provided me with steps I could do to repair the issue before they came out for the repair. The steps solved the issue. Other places I requested a quote from did not do this.

Peter picked up the required part before coming by, which was over and above what other service providers were prepared to do. He arrived on time and fixed the range without incident. He was quite pleasant to boot.

Right from first contact, Peter was helpful in trying to determine the cause of my dishwashers breakdown. He walked me through a couple of things to try before coming out to the house. He had to order a part and came our a vouple of weeks later to install it. He came to the house at the appointed time and fixed the dishwasher.

Peter as always is the best! I call him my appliance guy as he's always there for any repairs or recommendations on what to purchase.
