    Appliance

    We had a really bad experience with a different appliances guy that came(twice) to "fix" our fridge,charged us(twice)but actually didn't do anything .and then yesterday when we saw that the fridge still doesn't work and we had to throw out all the food in it(again),I found Peter's number in this website,I called him and write away,after 1 minute over the phone, understood that this guy knows what he is talking about,he knew exactly what to ask and to guide me to check everything he needed to analyze the problem.so many companies will just send someone,charge the costumer the service call(at least),Peter knew that he's not going to come to our place after 1 minute over the phone,because he realized that the issue is the compressor and to fix it cost almost as much as a new fridge,but he still spent 15(!!)minutes over the phone with me,asked me questions,helped me to figure out exactly which model I need to buy and recommended me on places i can find it for the best price for me.this is what I call good service-he knew right away the he is not going to make any money but still spent 15 minutes just to try to help me.I was very impressed from that and how knowledgeable and honest he was.I don't write any reviews ever,but I told myself that this will be the first time I'll do it.next time if I'll need an appliances guy or someone will ask me if I know anyone-I'll refer him to Peter-no doubt about that.Thanks for a great service.

    Dishwasher repair

    We have hired Peter at Modern Appliance for several repairs and we have never been disappointed. When we called this time, he asked a few questions, and arrived at the scheduled time with the required part in hand. We had a discussion about whether it was better to repair or replace our dishwasher, and decided on the repair. Peter took extra time to make sure everything was in working order before he left. He is our go-to guy for appliance repair.

    Dryer repair

    When I sent a request for a quote online, Peter's company was the first to respond. He tried to diagnose the problem on the phone. When he showed up, he already had the replacement part.

    Freezer repair

    We needed an urgent freezer repair. Modern Appliance was able to get the part installed by our deadline without hassle. They were courteous, thoughtful and responded promptly to our calls.

    oven repai

    I called Peter after reading reviews on Homestars. I was very very happy with all aspects of the service Peter provided. He was timely and provided good advice re our older Kenmore wall oven. He also kindly looked at a burner on our cooktop. He charged us for the service call but nothing additional as he recommended that we replace because of corrosion of wires. I will definitely call Peter the next time we need an appliance repaired:)

    Appliance Service

    I reached out to Modern Appliance due to a fridge issue.. Peter returned me call quickly. He knew of a design issue with the model of fridge so was able to help over the phone. This was done all without cost and quickly. After reading all the great reviews, I can see that they were all well deserved. I'd recommend Peter again if I do need a service call.

    Dishwasher repair

    We completed the online form on the Modern Family site including what needed repair along with model number. We were called promptly and they were aware of the problem on these dishwashers and ordered the part to be replaced. Installed the part in the next few days when it was available. Easy and fairly fast process. Would use them again.

    Dishwasher Repair

    I reached out to Modern Appliance last week requesting an estimate for my dishwasher repair - Peter was assigned to the job. From our initial discussion through to completion of the job, Peter was very accommodating. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and turned around the repair in less than 3 days. I initially purchased my dishwasher through one of the big box stores in 2013. Suffice to say, there were some complications with the installation and as a result my sink also began to leak. Realizing the error, Peter went above and beyond his call of duty and reinstalled the dishwasher at no extra charge. Long story short, my dishwasher is back up-and-running and my sink no longer leaks. Peter is extremely thorough and won't leave until the job is done right. I recommend Modern Appliance for a few reasons: 1. They have a proven track record and a long history servicing the GTA with a number of outstanding reviews under their belt. 2. Their shop is owner operated, which means you're dealing with the same person from initial assessment through to job completion and beyond. 3. They're punctual, friendly and very professional. These guys keep their word and make sure the job gets done right - even if they have to clean up someone else's mess. 4. Good pricing and quality work If you're looking for a good customer experience Modern Appliance is sure to deliver.

    appliance repair

    My frig stopped cooling. I got Peter's name from this website and sure enough, all the good things people said about him turned out to be oh so true. Polite, courteous, knowledgeable and prompt. He even took extra measures to make sure the problem didn't happen again! A great, honest repair guy!

    Appliance repair

    Ah Christmas time! On Boxing day, just to add to the festivities, the fridge stopped cooling and the dryer stopped spinning. I have called Peter before, so I am familiar with his work, and there was no question in my mind who I would call this time. Peter is very skilled and knowledgeable, and he explains what he is doing and why. Peter had both of them back up and running in less than an hour.
