    Dishwasher repair and proper installation

    I purchased a new dishwasher just over two years ago and it was never properly installed. The electrical panel stopped working and I found Modern Appliance through HomeStars. Peter was responsive and affordable. He got it working and provided me with useful information on the model I'd purchased and how to troubleshoot the problem myself in future. He also properly installed the dishwasher and gave me some advice on installation of another appliance. He was very pleasant and professional and I'd hire him again. I'm finding my new appliances just don't hold up like the old ones and its good to have someone reliable to call on to keep them running.

    Stackable Laundry Unit Service

    We found Peter's company here on HomeStars, and we are very happy that we continue to use HomeStars to research reputable and respectful companies who excel in delivering products and services such as Modern Appliance. I contacted Peter about an issue with a leaking washing machine. Peter replied promptly with a detailed, reasonable quote. He came to our home the next day, determined the problem quickly, and fixed the problem efficiently. He then proceeded to do an overall inspection of the stackable unit to give us an assessment of the condition of the unit. His invoice detailed the work, and we were extremely pleased with his workmanship and professionalism. We would definitely recommend others to seek the services of Modern Appliance.     Washer,Dryer, Dishwasher

    All of my appliances had small problems I had been ignoring for lack of time to deal with them and also the lack of a dependable repair person. A friend who had used Peter said he was great and he was. He fixed the problems, advised me on the life of the appliances (an important question) and was also very helpful in a followup call when I had questions. He was reliable and obviously very expert.

    Fridge Repair

    3 words: Friendly-Sensible-Knowledgeable Peter gave me helpful advice on things to try before he came to do a service call. He didn't charge a cent and fixed my fridge with a simple phone call! He could diagnose the problem right over the phone. Thanks Peter!!!!

    Dryer Repair

    I reached out to Modern Appliance after my dryer stopped working through their online contact form. Peter responded to me 10 minutes after I submitted the contact request with information on determining the problem. After learning more, he ordered a few replacement parts, and we set up a service call for only a few days later. Peter then came and quickly determined and fixed the problem - everything's back in tip top shape. He was prepared, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. In fact, the only reason we scheduled the call a few days later was because Peter wanted to ensure he received the parts and could come fully prepared. Bang up job, thanks again Peter.

    Fridge/Freezer Repair

    I cannot refer Peter enough, for his incredible service and support in repairing my fridge/freezer. I called Peter on a Friday and he was out Saturday morning to replace the relay in my side-by-side Kitchen Aid. That evening, I noticed that the ice maker was not working. Peter did the trouble-shooting via email, and then quoted on the parts. He was back out 3 days later -- and only charged for the labour and parts. The "service call" is covered under the initial call. Pleasant, professional, and a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommend.

    Dishwasher repair

    My dishwasher just stopped working one day. I found Modern Appliance on HomeStars and called for an appointment. Peter arrived at the appointed time. He quickly sourced the problem and fixed it on the spot - and then cleaned up. The price was very reasonable for the service rendered. I would certainly call MA again in the future for any appliance-related issues.

    Refrigerator/freezer repair

    I was amazed at how fast Peter responded to my web inquiry regarding the repair needed to our freezer. Was on time and courteous. Gave insightful information regarding our refrigerator/freezer. It was a pleasure to do business with Modern appliance and I would highly recommend them.

    Dishwasher/appliances issues

    We needed to have our appliances checked, especially the dishwasher, to see if a leak was causing issues with our flooring. We called Peter because a friend had sung his praises; and they were right. Peter showed up, when he said that he would, and made a very thorough examination of all our appliances/pipes, etc. and gave them all a passing grade. He also went out of his way to provide us with information on how to fix a problem we have been having with our washer. He also told us where to buy the very inexpensive part and how to replace it, all for no extra charge. Throughout the service call Peter was pleasant and answered any/all questions to do with our appliances and issues that we have experienced in the past. We would not hesitate to recommend Peter to any of our friends and would certainly call him again if the need arises.
