    Dishwasher Repair

    My dishwasher broke down and Peter provided the most thorough potential diagnosis over the phone. I called other companies listed on this page and no one even asked what was wrong my machine. At present, I'm thinking of getting a new dishwasher altogether and will contact Peter when it comes to installing it. BTW, their shop is in TORONTO so don't be dissuaded by their listed Stouffville location.

    Dishwasher Repair

    Our dishwasher was leaking and I looked for appliance repair on HomeStars and Modern Appliances had exceptionally good ratings. Peter was exceptionally responsive and met all of his commitments to me. He showed on time and got things fixed for us. His ratings are well deserved!

    Dishwasher Repair

    Our dishwasher door would not close so I called Peter from Modern Appliance. He return the called promptly and came to diagnose the problem right away. He needed to order parts and once they were received he called to come back and repair our appliance (in a very timely manner). I was thrilled that our dishwasher was able to be fixed. We have called Peter in the past for other appliance issues. He is definitely the person to call, should you have an appliance issue. He is extremely knowledgeable, fair and friendly and will get the job complete.

    Fridge/Freezer Repair

    What a super guy Peter is! Our fridge/freezer died last weekend and leaked water all over the show. Called Peter, he asked all the right questions on the phone, diagnosed the problem, told me what to do to fix them temporarily while he ordered the parts. Came out this Saturday, talked me through the whole repair and replace process, gave me a number of useful tips related to appliance stuff, and was very professional throughout. His company will definitely be on speed-dial for any future emergencies. Thanks, Peter!

    dryer problem

    I was very pleased with the service that Peter provided in dealing with my dryer problem - including a tricky installation. He gave great advice and provided a solution that really worked out. He is so helpful and was great about returning phone calls.

    Kitchen appliance Repair

    I contacted the company and reached Peter by phone the morning after we discovered our fridge had broken. He asked me some questions on what problems we were having. He made it to our house within a couple of hours because of changes in his schedule. He found the problem immediately, and provided us some advice on what could be done, including phoning the manufacturer to see whether our refrigerator could be repaired through the manufacturer's warranty (and it turned out it could for free, because of a compressor problem). He was extremely helpful and it was a delight to interact with him, I and would recommend him to anyone.

    Dishwasher repair

    I called Peter on a Tuesday and actually got in touch with him personally on the first try, not a voicemail. I outlined the problem for him and he gave 2 possible causes for the problem. He was out in the field, so he couldn't check when he might be able to come by, but asked me to email him the dishwasher model number so that he could proactively order the part. He both called back and emailed to let me know when he would be able to come by (on the following Thursday). He specified a two hour window for the work. He showed up close to the start of the window that he specified and had everything done within half an hour, including talkiing about future issues that might come up, where to get a good dishwasher cleaning product, and other things. Peter is a class act and he will always be the first one I call. Every part of my interaction with him was positive. I can't recommend his services highly enough.

    refrigerator repair

    This is the second time that I phoned Peter about an appliance repair. In both cases he spent time helping me understand what needed to be done and the cost. In both cases he recommended that I buy a new appliance rather than carry out the repair. He gave me suggestions where to purchase what I needed. As a result, I haven't been able to give him any business yet, but I will certainly phone him when I next need an appliance repair. I am very impressed with Peter's customer service and integrity.

    Leaking Refridgerator

    I called Modern Appliance after my tenants informed me that the fridge was leaking water, making increased noise, and not keeping anything in the freezer cold. Peter fixed the problem within a half hour of arriving at the condo and implemented a permanent fix for the problem that was the result of a design flaw for this model. Peter is a true professional who can be counted on to provide excellent customer service at reasonable cost.

    fridge repair

    The top part of our fridge stopped working. The freezer was still working. I called Modern Appliance and left message which was quickly returned by Peter. He helped me over the phone and instructed me to turn off the fridge to avoid further problems and to let the frost melt in the freezer below. He came after the weekend as promised and not only fixed the refrigerator expertly but helped me clean behind the fridge. He was very polite and courteous. I would not hesitate to recommend Peter and this company in the future.
