    Servicing appliance

    After using the self clean option on my oven, it would not unlock. I tried a variety of things unsuccessfully. I called peter and he fixed it for me. Furthermore he mentioned for me to call him if it happened again and he would walk me through it over the phone. Peter was extremely conscientious and helpful and I would highly recommend him

    Appliance repair

    Peter provided excellent service. He seeks to diagnose the problem before the service call so that he can arrive with the necessary parts, so I can avoid the cost and inconvenience of 2 calls. We've had Peter service our washer, dryer, refrigerator and cooktop, and have been impressed by his professionalism and quality service.

    dishwasher/Fridge repair

    Peter provided excellent service, good analysis of what needed to be fixed, good cost estimates and explanation of what was repaired. Instead of replacing the drain pump, it was cleaned and restored to working order, avoiding the cost of a replacement.Work site was left clean. Good work overall.

    Fridge Repair

    My Bosch side by side refrigerator's freezer stopped working a couple weeks ago, so I called Peter from Modern Appliances in the hope of solving this problem right away, since everything was literally melting. Peter squeezed out a couple hours two days later and dropped by, fixed the evaporator fan motor on site with brand new parts. Now the fridge is running like it supposed to be. Big thumb up.

    Refrigerator rapair

    We've been using Modern Appliance for 6 years now and we have always found Peter to be responsive, courteous, and professional. And most importantly, he always gets the job done correctly the first time!

    Fridge Repair

    My fridge has been losing it's cool and I called Peter this morning after coming across his company on this site. The recommendations seemed genuine enough, even if they were glowing. But yeah, they should be; the guy is very good. He spent time on the phone with me, with no promise of a job, giving me very clear instructions on what to look for in diagnosing my own problem, suspecting that it might be easy to fix. Turned out it was more complicated, talked to him a second time, and had the compresser fan motor switched out for me within 4 hours of our first chat. Very professional; very helpful. Very happy I happened to call him. First time I felt like I had to sign up and recommend a guy.

    fridge repair

    This review is long over due. A couple of months ago our fridge stopped producing cool air. I called and spoke to Peter on a Sunday and he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and provide a temporary solution over the phone until he came out to fix the issue (he very promptly came to fix the issue). I highly recommend Modern Appliances and especially Peter.

    Appliance Repair

    We have used Modern Appliance twice now for appliance diagnostics and repair. The first time was for our washing machine. After careful diagnosis, Peter recommended a new washing machine. He was honest in telling us that he could fix the problem but that in 6 - 24 months, something else would break and we would need to get a new washer then anyway. The second repair visit was for our dryer (Peter provided the same advice as the washing machine) and our gas stove and oven. A repair was done on the ignitor on the gas oven/stove and it works perfectly now. Peter is honest, forthcoming, professional, friendly and fast. He does not try and sell services/repairs you do not need and I really respect that. He responds quickly to phone calls and emails and comes at the appointment time that he says he will come at. He was also great with my young son, answering his questions and allowing him to watch him do the repair. I would recommend Peter in a heartbeat to anyone who needs appliance repair or installation.

    Refrigerator repair

    My refrigerator stopped working Sunday night. Sent an email to Modern Appliance Monday morning and Peter responded with a phone call an hour later. Based on the information I had provided, he figured the relay board was the problem. He got the part on order and we scheduled a time for him to come by the next morning. Peter showed up on time and was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He soon had my fridge working again and I could not be more pleased with the level of service and professionalism. Would highly recommend Modern Appliance.

    Fridge Repair

    Our fridge stopped working while the freezer portion functioned, leaving us a little puzzled. After connecting with Peter, he checked to make sure that we had tried other options (like defrosting the fridge) in order to make sure that the visit was needed. He was prepared, prompt and very friendly - walking me through the repair and making conversation as he did it. Thanks to him, we've squeezed a few more years out of life our fridge. Thanks, Peter!
