    Gas Stove Repair

    This is the second time we've used Modern Appliance. Both times Peter was quick to get back to us, showed up when he said he would, explained what our options are and gave us a quote that was what the final cost was. He's also an extremely nice guy, which helps when you have someone in your home.

    Fridge repair

    Believe the hype! Peter is honest, professional, punctual, and unbelievably responsive! I have and will continue to refer him to anyone that needs an appliance repaired. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't witnessed it!

    Washing machine repair

    My washing machine broke down. I submitted a webform to Modern Appliances and Peter called me the next morning. He asked some questions to diagnose the problem and told me he'd pick up the part that he suspected was causing the problem before he came the next day. Peter arrived with the part and determined that it was required to fix my washing machine. He was professional and courteous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Peter and Modern Appliances to anybody. It is the best experience I've had with appliance repair.

    faulty stacked washer/dryer

    My aging Maytag stacked washer dryer no longer worked. Peter responded quickly. We agreed that repair might be risky as to the appliance's age. But took the risk. Peter has given the appliance a new life. And I have been saved the cost of a new one and the additional plumbing/electrical costs. Impressive. Mary Campbell

    Peter responded promptly to my initial call, made an appointment for the next day, and had the work done quickly, efficiently, and within initial estimate. He was on time, courteous, and a pleasure to do business with.

    fridge repair

    The thing that rocks about Modern Appliance is that Peter diagnoses the problem over the phone and shows up ready to make the repair. Other repair services I have dealt with make the initial service call, then disappear for the week while they wait for the part, then show up a second time with a second charge. Modern Appliance shows up quickly, with the materials needed for the fix, and gets it done right away. Seriously awesome service.

    Washing machine repair

    My washing machine stopped working. I called Modern Appliance and spoke with Peter. He came on time with the appropriate parts. He was professional and fixed my machine. The price he had quoted me on the phone was exactly what it cost. I would recommend Modern Appliance highly.

    Washer repair

    I suspected the solenoid valve on my mom's washer was starting to malfunction. I called Peter and once i described the issue he confirmed that was the issue and even told me i could replace it myself. I did decide to retain him and within a day Peter had ordered the part and had scheduled a visit to install it. Peter checked the machine thoroughly to make sure it was worthwhile replacing the part and not replacing the machine (it is a 20-25 year old machine). The machine checked out and he replaced the part (and even cleaned /swept the dust behind/under where the machine was). Peter impressed both my mom and I with his knowledge and quick response and exemplary service. I highly recommend Peter Petrou and Modern Appliance to everyone.

    Refrigerator Repair

    I haven't encountered a company that would openly assist in diagnosing the issue over the phone before providing servicing as Modern Appliance did for me. Peter was very quick to respond to my call and provide various solutions to my refrigerator problem and genuinely took his time in explaining. Not only did he provide repairs, but also took the time to explain the servicing and future upkeep for my refrigerator. I have recommended this company to my friends and they come away pleased with the results too.

    Kenmore dishwasher

    The door started to pop open during the wash cycle. Peter was courteous, efficient, timely, and explained in plain language what needed to be done. Came back and did it. Apparently the machine was installed using some short cuts with the obvious results.
