I called Modern appliance based on so many high ratings Peter has received. We recently sold our home (all appliances included) and the oven started working sporadically. I needed someone to get the job done quickly and at a good price so I could get on with packing for the upcoming move. Peter returned my call within minutes, diagnosed the problem over the phone, ordered the part and showed up with 4 days to repair the oven. He was very professional and got the job done in a very timely fashion. The costs were clearly laid out and fair. Peter even advised about the new appliances purchased for my new home and where to steer clear of un-necessary warranties. I would recommend this company to others.

Just wanted to commend Peter for the timeliness and honesty of the services he provided. After assessing the needs to repair our washing machine, he ordered the part and returned the following week to install (once part had arrived) - after installing the washer worked once and then stopped again - Peter came out a second time and informed us that the manufacturer had several problems with this machine and we'd probably have more problems in the futre. Peter recommended purchasing a new machine. This was the second appliance repair Peter did for us - first one was a gas stove. Both times he was very professional. We initially called him based on the reviews on homestars and wil not hesitate to recommend or call him in the future should anything else go wrong.

I have no reservations recommending Modern Appliance for repairs. After my 8 year old fridge started making noise and losing cooling ability I called Peter at Modern on a Friday and he got back to me within an hour to set up an appointment on Saturday. When I was explaining the problem he had a suggestion for what the problem could be- and when he arrived on Saturday (at exactly the time we'd agreed) he was exactly right! In fact because a faulty design the drain had frozen causing the fan to stop moving- which didn't require any parts so he just billed me for the service call. He also gave me some great advice in what to look for in my next fridge when the time comes. Very honest and I will use them again for my next appliance repair.

I highly recommend this company. All aspects of the service provided were perfect. The service provider was pleasant and courteous. He arrived on time, was totally efficent and professional, and the work performed was first rate.

They were an absolute delight-came 4 times and only charged for the major repair. I am impressed and would recommend them highly for effective, professional and ethical service!! They really know what they are doing and don't over charge at all.

The technician provided prompt competent and courteous service. He correctly diagnosed the problem with our dishwasher, repaired it, and ran a test cycle to test the overall performance of the machine, Would call again with any future appliance problems.

We tried many ways to get this seemingly simple valve fixed. After much cost and frustration we reached out to the highest recommended vendor on the list and they "took a pass" on our project. Perplexed, I called Peter, my next choice at Modern Appliance and am so glad that he was the one to fix our appliance. He was courteous, responsive, and went over and above our expectations. Would recommend him for the same and won't hesitate to call him FIRST next time. Nice work Peter.

Peter was absolutely great! He helped us trouble shoot to keep our fridge running before coming in to perform the repair. We had missed our appointment however he was terrific and he came the following day to fix the fridge. He was very professional and explained the repair in detail. We would highly recommend Peter/ Modern Appliance for any of your appliance repairs.

Realatively new Maytag fridge - freezer and fan working as normal but no cooling to the fridge itself. Called Modern, Peter got back to me. I have to tell you I was very surprised that he walked me through the troubleshooting over the phone and it fixed the problem. So fixed at no cost - great guy!

I called with a problem with my dishwashwer I was given advise on how to fix problem over the phone and it worked! No charge for the repair. I would definately continue to use this service.
