After finding some very large cracks in our newly purchased home, Dave answered our first call and put many of our fears at ease. He gave us some wonderful advice and guidance on next steps (all before we even contracted him!). He was flexible in his time to do an estimate, the estimate was very fair, and he was able to fit us in very quickly to avoid any winter problems. His team was great and put up with all of my nosing around and curiosity about their work. They kept the site looking presentable throughout and cleaned up perfectly when finished. Right on budget and even finished early. These guys are awesome and saved my sanity at a very difficult time.

After noticing a leak in my basement which got worse each time it rained I called Dave Marcotte Foundations because of the great reputation this company has in the Ottawa area, they did not disappoint. My call was returned the next day, an appointment was made and Dave was at my door..on schedule , phoning me ahead of time to let me know he was on his way .He inspected my basement and found the cracks in the foundation right away , being worried that there was more rain on the way, Dave said he would send someone out in an hour. True to his word a very polite young man arrived at my door in less than an hour and went to work , within a few hours the work was complete giving me peace of mind. The price was more than reasonable and the service was excellent. In chatting with the young man I mentioned how wonderful I thought Daves service was and he told me Dave was the best boss he has ever worked for. Dave called me after several rainy days to see if all was well and happily I could report I was no longer having a problem. I would like to thank you Dave for the excellent service you and your company has provided and will recommend you anytime. You, your employees are a 10 +.

We diligently sought five quotes for work that needed to be done to repair our foundation. One contractor came, left and never provided a quote. A second was condescending and we did not like his attitude. Of the three remaining quotes two were comparable and the third was twice the price. We went with Dave Marcotte Foundations because Dave took the time to explain the issues, was very knowledgeable and gave us a clearly written estimate with detailed breakdown of the work to be done. We told Dave at the end of July that we wanted his services and found out he was booked until the next spring! We were nervous that the damage to our foundation would get much worse but were reluctant to go with someone else. In order to keep our business, Dave went out of his way, paid for his own engineer to come and assess the house. If the damage was too bad, we would go with another contractor, but if it could wait until spring, Dave hoped we would get him to do it. So that's what happened; we were able to wait until spring, but then, in mid November, we got a call that there had been a cancellation, so Dave and his crew showed up and were extremely efficient, tidy, professional and did the work on time and to the exact estimate provided. Plus, we had to have some additional work done (trees cut down, garage floor redone, re-bricking...) and Dave had excellent contacts and referrals to other contractors. We are very pleased with Dave's work and would highly recommend him.

We hired them after reading the reviews on this website. They are indeed very nice, professional and reliable. It gives you a peace of mind knowing that the work was done very well professionally and with a twenty-year warranty. Dave answered all the questions and made sure all the work was done properly. They did more work than we asked for. I wish we knew about them last year-- we could have saved some money by not hiring a handyman to do this kind of work.

I used Marcotte to install 5 new window wells (2 of them larger custom wooden wells), repair our downspouts and add soil to improve our lawn grading, and they did a fantastic job! They started and finished the work when they said they would and all the guys on site were professional and courteous. They went above and beyond to make sure the work was done well and the site was clean when they left (even taking away some junk left behind by another contractor hired to do other work). Dave is very knowledgeable about foundations and obviously wants to make sure that it's done right from the start without cutting any corners. I have recommended him to my friends and family.

Our foundation is about 100 years old and was seeping water, causing the walls to crumble in some areas. Dave fully explained our options and described in detail the type of work he would carry out in his estimate. He and his team started exactly as scheduled. When issues arose, such as a subcontractor for the asphalt taking a long time to show up, Dave dealt with the situation immediately. He was also always available to answer questions. We would hire him again and recommend him.

Dave and his crew were amazing. Fast quote of the work. On time for the schedule of work to be done. He stuck to schedule and budget. He did amazing work, and I take comfort knowing that the foundation will not leak. He went beyond the call of duty in helping us to diagnose a problem with our carport- which was in need of repair. He even helped us with a referral to complete the work on the carport. We are thankful for his skills and those of the crew. What really impressed me was the perfect clean up job they did as well....down to the detail of replanting the flowers. And the kids got a real kick out of the cool diggers and trucks!

Dave was very responsive to my request for a polyurethane foam injection of a vertical crack in my home foundation. Other companies just never responded? He quickly gave me an estimate based on an e-mail pic. I said OK. A member of Dave's team arrived at the projected time, bang on schedule. He worked carefully for more than an hour to get that crack fixed, looking inside and outside to see if the foam was penetrating the 8" wall. It was indeed for which I thank him. I now feel comfortable heading towards the winter. Criticisms? The team member was here until 7:00pm and probably missed dinner with his family! But that's my fault asking for such prompt and excellent service! I'm saying 10/10 for I do recommend this company very highly.
