We had a large crack in the back foundation of our house mainly due the collapse of the ground because of a couple of large trees. This also caused our back deck to drop almost 6 inches from one side to the other. Dave's crew did the necessary repairs and also leveled our deck at no extra charge. Not only that but he got us a new thermostat at no charge when ours was damaged at the time our AC unit at the back was moved due to the excavations. I would strongly recommend Dave Marcotte Foundations to anyone!

Everyone working for Dave Marcotte Foundations (including Dave himself), are extremely professional, hard working and very good at what they do. Dave goes the extra mile to make sure the client truly understands the scope of the problem and all the pros and cons to the proposed solutions. His rates are very competitive and the workmanship is not comprimised. I hope I don't need to use their services again, but if I ever run into foundation issues again, I will only deal with Dave Marcotte.

Dave and his crew arrived on site right on time. And things were all up hill from there. The job involved significant repairs to the cinder block foundation of our home. One large wall and two smaller walls were completely rebuilt. And two additonal walls were repaired and water-proofed. I was on site for most of the work. The guys were all friendly, respectful and hard working. Dave, the boss, was always there supervising and leading the effort. I had many questions and all were answered to my satisfaction - confidently and clearly. As can be imagined, on a job this large, with the damaged walls mostly under the surface, unexpected issues arose. Fortunately for us, Dave's experience and ingenuity meant that the positive suprises out-weighed the negative, and the final invoice was slightly (percentage wise) lower than the original agreement. So I would not hesitate to recommend Dave Marcotte Foundations or to call on Dave and his crew (Shane, George and the others) again. Although, that is a call I hope I won't neeed to make!

We had both vertical cracks and a 9ft horizon crack in our basement walls which Dave came and inspected. What he explained was going to need to be done and what he provided in the quote were exactly the same and the quote was with us with a couple of days. Dave and his team turned up in late April on time and on the day he said he would despite the snow. He and his team were knowledgeable, polite and hard working. As my husband and I were not at home when they left on the first day, he emailed me that night to let me know how every things had gone – something that was very reassuring. Thank you Dave for making my basement dry again – I’ve been singing your praise ever since.

Dave was a pleasure to work with. He arrived on time to provide an estimate. He knows his stuff and was very easy to work with. His crew was on time , clean and very reespectful of our home. He did what he said he would do and was on budget. The work was done quickly and he was available for questions before, during and after the job. I strongly recommend his work.

We were very happy with the work and information Dave provided us regarding the crack in our foundation and shifting/settling of our house. He offered a reasonable and sensible solution to our problem where other companies were quoting on work that would have been unnecessary. His work was done on time and as quoted. Dave Marcotte's crew is a class act. Last fall we got several estimates for two cracks that leaked occasionally and needed repairing. Dave's company was not the cheapest, but it was the most cost effective for the work that needed to be done and he was less than half what some of the big name companies were charging. At a time when I struggled to even get someone on the phone, Dave came out, explained his procedure and why the cracks needed to be repaired from the outside (not the inside, like the cheaper quotes said...). This spring we decided to go ahead with the repairs, which were completed within two weeks. Dave's crew was polite, clean, and hard working. They went above and beyond the call of duty, and I would recommend them to anyone. Kudos.

We discovered a wet basement problem at our home last summer and decided to install weeping tile and waterproofing membrane on all four sides of our home. We opted to go with Dave Marcotte and would highly recommend him to anyone requiring foundation work on their home. Frankly, we would recommend him as a general contractor as well (as he has an excellent depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in the construction business) but we believe that he now specializes almost exclusively on foundation projects. Dave Marcotte is one of the most knowledgeable and reliable contractors that we have had the pleasure of working with. He certainly tries to go the extra mile and is incredibly service oriented. We never needed to chase him down for updates on our project as he was often quick to pick up the phone and touch base with us as needed. Not only was the Dave Marcotte team an incredibly tidy and courteous crew, but they were quick workers that paid attention to detail. Unbelievably, they were in and out of here in under two weeks, leaving our decks, walkways, and landscaping in better shape than before they started their work. We couldn't be more pleased with Dave's work and our sentiment is shared by our neighbours as well. We have had at least four different neighbours comment on how impressed they with the professionalism that Dave and his team showed while working on our property. We will certainly be recommending Dave Marcotte to friends and neighbours for many years to come.

Repair #1 (600.00). A crack in my foundation starting from the corner of a window - running vertically to just above the floor. Total length about 5 feet and greatest width was about 1/4 in. Water leaked into that room during spring thaw and "heavy" rains. I found Mr. Marcotte by researching local businesses. I was very impressed with his website and the detailed information about his business, possible faults and repairs as well as testimonials from satisfied Clients. I sent him an email and he called me within hours. My first impression was that he was knowledgeable, experienced and trustworthy. I explained the situation and he told me he was rather confident that the repair would be minor and 100% effective. He came within a few days, examined the crack and confirmed that an epoxy injection - taking less than an hour would repair the crack. He was very polite, confident and demonstrated skill and professionalism. I have since renovated that room from a damp and somewhat damaged state to a lovely family room with new floors and paint. Many storms have passed and another spring has gone by and the room is dry and very pleasant. Dave Marcotte Foundations is an excellent company. Repair #2 (3600.00). The concrete room under my garages was wet every spring and after rains storms. A year after the previously mentioned repair, I thought to go to no one but Mr. Marcotte. I merely sent him an email on a Wednesday/Thursday explaining the problem and he replied back asking if he could come out on Saturday. He came ON TIME and he examined the room and determined through wetness and stains that the water was coming in from the floor as well and from above where the garages "sat" on top of this room. He could dig from the outside down to the footing and install or replace (if already present) a weeping tile system. I had NO idea if one was in place or not. Another, less expensive approach would be to cut a trench in the room itself and set up weeping tiles and a sump pump - incurring no damage to my driveway. This would also include wetproofing the wall with a "platon" wrap. We agreed and he came to do the work 3 days later. He brought two workers with him and they were wonderful. They too were very polite, very patient to answer my questions and happily offered explanations to the process. They worked very hard to keep the area clean and 3 days later the work was done. As part of this repair and at no additional cost, Mr. Marcotte took the time to rework the garage drains and rework the water discharge plumbing (adding a clean out valve) from my other sump pit in another room. He has come back as a follow up applying additional water proofing in the corners. So far, the room has dried and has stayed dry. He is very good at his work, his workers demonstrate the same professionalism that he does and he is pretty funny too. He loves dogs so he must be OK.
