    Boiler repair

    This winter the boiler for our home broke down in -9 degree weather. Alex from Atlas came out and immediately uncovered a serious and very dangerous problem with the heat exchanger that he fully explained to us. Atlas ordered the parts for the repair while Alex has still at our home and prioritized us for service. As soon as the parts came in, Alex made his way from Oakville to midtown Toronto in a terrible snowstorm to make the repair and ensure that our family had heat and hot water restored. Fantastic service, would highly recommend!

    No hot water

    None of the taps in our home had running hot water. I called Atlas Care and Jeremy came over to rectify the situation ( same day service). He told me that the service would cost $500 plus tax. Once he examined the water heater, he determined that it was the mixing valve that needed to be replaced. The part was to be ordered and he promptly came back to replace it. This job was supposed to be a relatively easy and quick job. Unfortunately the piece didn't fit (manufacture's problem)...the water heating tank was 15 years old. Neverthless, Jeremy worked diligently and patiently to fix it. He ended up soldering the edges of the mixing valve to fit. He worked on this for a good three to four hours. He didn't leave until everything was done. Jeremy is friendly, hard working, prompt and takes pride in his work. I would hightly recommend this company. They never changed the quoted price...I still paid the quoted $500 plus taxes. A couple of days later we talked to Steve at Atlas Care and he came over on the same evening to adjust the water temperature for us. He was very friendly and helpful. We only needed a slight adjustment. You have a great team Atlas Care!

    New Furnace and Heat Pump

    Our old furnace needed replacement this Fall and after getting many quotes we had a good presentation from Matt - though he took a long time at the house he was thorough and explained the products he was suggesting, as well as how we could switch from our aging air conditioner to a heat pump and get a good federal government rebate. He also offered a side-discharging heat pump that could fit under our deck, which had been difficult for us to find. The products qualify for a $7k rebate which makes the project very worthwhile. The removal and installation of both was done in a single day and the three-man team was great (though they did accidentally break our fiber optic Bell internet cable which was a hassle to get fixed...). So far, the equipment works well - we will have to see how it performs through the winter - and overall we are happy with the result and the company.

    Heat pump installation

    We needed a new heating system in a house we recently purchased. Abdel was very prompt in assisting us with the information we needed to make a quick decision. He explained to us that a heat pump would be the best option because of the limited duct system in the house. Mike and his team were also very quick at organizing all the work and it took around a week to have the heating up and running just in time for the plummeting temperatures. The system works perfectly and I find it to be a lot better for my allergies. Thank you all for the hard work and a well done job!

    Air conditioner stopped working

    Space Pak air conditioner cut out. Technician came out and found the breaker tripped (I had looked but didn't see it). Breaker reset and the system came on. Technician suggested that this was only a symptom of a bigger problem and went on to check both the indoor and outdoor units. He claimed to have found a faulty capacitor, removed it and showed it to me - some rust, etc. He quoted $356 plus tax for a new capacitor (I found one online for about $50). I said I would like to leave it as it was an old unit the would probably need to be replaced before too long. So he put it back in and then it didn't work even though it has been working when the breaker was reset. So now I had to replace it as it was a very hot spell. Final bill $590 for what I think was unnecessary and overpriced. They had sent around a request asking for feedback so I told the lady at reception about my concerns and she said someone would get back to me. They never did so I put an unfavourable review on Google - the manager said I should call Niko to discuss. I called at least three times and got a message machine, left messages and no one got back to me.

    Terrible Customer Service

    I cant comment on the quality of the work because I never let the technician in my house (after he was over an hour late and seemed to be offering a different service). Atlas was supposed to come and clean all of my ducts and the dryer vent, and regulate the airflow in my house (I was given a window of 10am-noon. At 10:52 I received a notification that the technician was on his way. At 12:15 (over 80 minute after the notification) when he hadnt arrived, I called and was told his last appointment was in Kitchener but he should be there soon. At 1pm I called back to cancel as I was told the job was 3-4 hours and I had to leave at 4pm. As I was on the phone with the agent, the technician showed up at 1:13pm and told me it would only take 30-60 minutes to complete the service. When I expressed shock at the difference in time, he said the customer agents dont understand the work. I was surprised that for a cost of over $600, the service was so quick. Because I still had the customer service agent on the phone, I asked to speak to a manager about the discrepancy and how such a quick service could cost so much. I was told a manager would call me back. I never received a call.

    A/C diagnosis and repair

    Tech came by late. Diagnosed the issue and fixed it. Bill was much larger than I expected 350 dollars for charging the compressor starter. This was after diagnosis fees were waived. I expected it to to cost around 225 tops. I should have asked for a general quote. Although the service was good, I would not recommend this company because of the surprise pricing

    New Furnace and Hot Water Tank installation.

    On the 21st of April, 2023, Atlas Care Technicians installed a new furnace and new hot water tank in my home. Both men were very professional, thorough and pleasant and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with their work and recommend them highly to anyone that needs their services.

    Furnace replacement

    Quick service, professional and very considerate of my home while working. Everything kept clean. Satinder and Gurpreet did an amazing job on the installation of the new furnace. They explained everything while doing the installation. Would definitely recommend Atlas Care!
