Repair or maintain heatpump: Power failure
Repair was fine but customer service was bad. Check your bill! I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt I needed to given their overall positive reviews here. The biggest issue was the billing. I was told several times the diagnostic fee would be credited against the repair cost if I hired them to do the repair. After the repair, when I got the bill, I discovered it was double what it was supposed to be because (1) they didn't deduct my deposit and (2) didn't deduct the diagnostic fee, both of which I already paid. When I asked if it was an error, I was suddenly told, for the first time, they only deduct the fee if you pay $15/mth plus tax to them on contract for a year. They then tried to pressure me into signing up. Their communication was also bad. They'd say they call back, and not call. Even the response to my review seems insincere. I explained the problem. They said someone would call me then no one did and they've ignored any further messages.

Install or replace water softener: New installation; 1 appliance
They can in saw the leak had zero parts for it and left. Waste of money in an emergency. There really is nothing to discuss. They were given the make and model of the filter having the leak, came over, said plumbing terms probably bore me so will not explain too much, and its too late to grab parts. I was also pitched a 3000$ upsell water softener. I texted a general contractor with the same info, they asked for a video, and they were there 11 AM with all the right parts and charged the same amount as buddy coming to my house for 20 mins. Congratulations on getting your money once from me.

Repair or maintain heating system: Repair; Furnace heating
AtlasCare was amazing! Our furnace suddenly stopped working mid afternoon and the weather was -8 C. From the time we reached out to AtlasCare they got right back to me. I spoke to the office administrator and she explained the costs and an arrival window. From the time we spoke to the office to when the repair was completed was 3 hours. Amazing! Kyle the technician was professional, polite, and got right down to business. He told us what the problem was, what had to be done, and how much it would cost to repair. Atlas will now be our new go to heating/ A/C crew. We highly recommend them. Great work team!

Air cleaners and humidifiers: Repair; Humidifier
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. NEVER AGAIN! ~ Replace Faulty Solenoid I contacted AtlasCare to replace a faulty solenoid in my humidifer. Even tho I advised co. that Enercare (after inspecting) said it was a solenoid issue, a diagnostic test was req'd at $170. This was marginally acceptable as the $170 would be applied toward the final repair cost when solenoid was replaced. Well, that never happened. Instead, after a failed attempt to remove the part, I was told that due to the mfr’s atypical design, the solenoid was “impossible” to remove. AtlasCare then recommended that I consider purchasing a brand-new unit from them for over $880+. Frankly, this was unreasonable. I declined and hired another HomeStars pro, who—without issue—successfully replaced the solenoid. No design issue. No attempt to upsell. Problem solved. This experience makes it clear to me that AtlasCare prioritizes short-term $$ over long-term cust. relationships. That’s disappointing, a shame and, frankly, a bad business model.

Repair or maintain heating system: No heat, Leaky boiler / radiator...
Poor experience with the company. I have a radiator heating system which needs repair. The first technician who came (Dec 17) doesn't have enough experience with radiator system. He only fixed part of the problem but left a few issues unsolved. He said they'll send a more experienced technician next time. However next visit (Jan 2), another technician came to change the thermostat only and didn't solve other issues. He told me that he has no idea about the radiator system, so he will ask his supervisor to call me ASAP. Now two weeks passed, still no one has called me. All I received are two invoices under different company names, $169+tax (1st visit) and $299+tax (2nd visit), which is not what they promised (1st visit's cost will be deducted from following invoices). I called their customer service to explain what happened. She said she'll ask the supervisor to call me ASAP. I highly doubt someone will call me and solve the problem. I don't recommend this company.
