Our 28-year-old air conditioner was finally starting to conk out. It was a Thursday in the middle of summer and I was anxious to get it fixed. I called Atlas, our go-to heating and cooling company for almost 10 years now, and I was able to get a same-day appointment. Del, the technician, was prompt in arriving and very courteous throughout the appointment. After he diagnosed the problem, he explained the issue thoroughly to me, as well as all of my options regarding repair and replacement. He was receptive to all of my questions and took the time to answer them fully. It became clear that the only cost-effective solution was to purchase a new air conditioner. Del did not leave until he was able to set up an appointment with a sales rep for me. We were anticipating a very hot and humid weekend in late July, and I was eager to re-instate proper air conditioning in our home. As it happened, Del was able to get a same-day appointment for me, and Rudy, a veteran sales rep with Atlas, was able to come by that same evening. Rudy is a true professional and a master at customer service. He took the time to to assess the type of air conditioner that would be most suitable for our home, and then provided a couple of options which he then explained thoroughly to me. As with Del, and all of the other administrative, sales and technical staff at Atlas that I have dealt with over the years, I truly felt like a valued customer. Both Del and Rudy told me frankly that it could take up to a week to get the new air conditioner installed. I phoned in the next day (a Friday) to let Rudy know which air conditioner we selected and he told me that Atlas would be able to install it the following day (a Saturday)! I was thrilled. Spencer and Matt showed up promptly at 8:30am, worked expertly and efficiently and installed our new air conditioner in 3 hours. In addition, they were both friendly and courteous and receptive to all of our questions. Rudy showed up afterwards to conclude our transaction. I was incredibly impressed at how truly professional everyone had been. It was wonderful. The cherry on top was that our air conditioner had broken down within the time frame of a promotion that Atlas was offering until July 31, so we also received five years free service maintenance.
