    A/C problem-solving

Sensible, straightforward and effective analysis of confusing and difficult to sort out problem; persistent, determined and able to discuss and explain possible solutions; friendly and quick; happy with the resolution - from non-operational to fully working. Much thanks, especially in this hot weather.

    New furnace and Air Conditioner

We purchased a new Furnace and Central Air Conditioning unit. The sales representative, Justin, promised he would follow up with me and see if we were happy. Justin (nor anyone else) ever called. We were also told to book an appointment when the weather warmed up to tweak the A.C unit. I made the appointment, missed a day of work, and they never showed up! I then called the office and they eventually sent someone over that evening. I complained to the Director of Customer Service, Nimo, and he apologized and said he would send me complimentary movie passes. He never sent them. I called again and left him a disgruntled message and received no response. This company is very attentive when trying to sell you something, but once it's purchased, it's "crickets!!!"

Excellent Experience with Atlas Cares Oakville

Johnsonn Luu of Atlas Care at our home yesterday to take care of our air conditioning system. You are most fortunate to have Mr. Luu representing your company. He presented himself in a most excellent fashion and carried out his work to our entire satisfaction. You have a first rate colleague. We will recommend him and Atlas Care to our friends.

    Bad experience with Atlas Care

AtlasCare designed a heating system for our home which we gutted to the studs in 2012. Upon their recommendation we installed an in-floor radiant heat system and Spacepak AC. During our first winter in our newly renovated home we realized that our master bedroom floor was not heating at all...the system simply doesn't;t work in a large area of the home. Puzzled by why the system was failing in this area, AtlasCare recommended an additional $5,000+ spend/solution as a workaround. Whats more, they wanted us to pay $750/year for an ongoing service contract in order "to keep our warranty (on our brand new heating.cooling system) valid". Still trying to resolve the issue of the heat not working in a large area of the home, we asked AtlasCare for the drawings which would show where the in-floor pipes were laid. After 2 years of persistent follow-up, they eventually produced the wrong drawings, that were not at all reflective of the final installation. Just last week we had them back to install a new thermostat -replacing the one they installed in 2012. We specifically requested a technician who was familiar with the system in our home. Instead we were sent someone unfamiliar with our system, and as a result we were charged for 3 hours of labour, for what should have taken less than an hour. We see AtlasCare trucks all over the neighbourhood, and the company was recommended to us by a friend. We thought we had hired a company who would deliver premium work and customer service. Instead we have an expensive system that doesn't;t work property, and have received substandard customer service, and the issue has not been remedied. We have been quite dissatisfied with Atlas Care's service and accountability, and cannot recommend them.

    Air conditioner tune up

This was a spring tune up for my wall mounted air conditioners. Service person was Alex. He was helpful and courteous. Did the job in a straightforward, professional way. Gave me informative feedback about my air conditioning system, and helpful advice about my system going forward. Efficient and thoughtful.

AltasCare advised plugged water drain on furnace in April 2019

I have an annual maintenance contract with AtlasCare. In late April 2019, there was water pouring out from around the furnace and out over the carpeted basement floor. I shut off the humidifier, moped up the water and set up fans and heater to dry carpet. AtlasCare was called and came about 11:00pm that night. The representative determined the issue to be a plugged water drain that ran down into the concrete floor and called for AtlasCare plumbers to come the next day. They arrived and viewed the situation and suggested AtlasCare send out a sale person for new furnace. Jeff Maud came out and viewed the situation and said he would get back to me. No response. I called his office and set up a time for him to call me with his assistant. No call. I left the furnace as is through all this up to today because the weather was getting nicer and no heat required. I set up the annual AtlasCare visit to make sure air conditioning is working for summer season. The AtlasCare person told me at time of booking the appointment that a water drain is not needed for air conditioning. Today, AtlasCare sent out Neil. On looking at situation - his immediate reaction was that a water drain is needed for air conditioning. He then was the first AtlasCare person to actually do some testing to determine what is the problem. He brought in his air tank to blow out the line - line not plugged as nothing came out other than air. He poured water down the drain line and it came through into the drain hole in the floor. Again drain not plugged. He then checked the humidifier and determined that due to the corrosion it was letting the water pan overflow. Neil explained all his actions and was absolutely excellent. I wish he had been on the case in the first instance. He connected a temporary drain line and got the air conditioning working. He obviously spent far more time than usual but he was the first AtlasCare person to actually do some work and testing to find out what really was the problem - not just a walk around, visually inspect and proclaim what they thought the problem as the previous AtlasCare people did. He also has set up with yet another AtlasCare person to come out and determine the cost of a new furnace or cost of more minor adjustments to the furnace - obviously, as a minimum a new humidifier is required. Great to see some service men - like Neil - are interested in their customer's issues and are willing to actually do some investigative work to determine the really problem.. Thank-you Neil.

    Service

The technician that came was very professional. He was able to solve the issue. We have dealt with Atlas care for years, my experience of recent has been less than good. Incompetence abounds in all departments, except customer service

    AC replacement

The gentlemen from Atlas showed up on time and were extremely courteous and efficient. They got the job done quickly and treated my home as if it were theirs and left it neat and clean. Mat took the time to explain what was required and reviewed the warranty paperwork with me in detail. I will continue to be a longtime Atlas customer and would recommend them to anyone needing heating, cooling or plumbing services.
