For the first time ever I had a very unpleasant drain back-up "surprise"! In my shock and pleasant state of mind at the time, I had enough clarity to remember that Mike Holmes had the "Holmes on Homes" website. I tried it for the first time and there I found Martin and crew whose name and face I remembered from a few episodes..on Mike's site I saw that Martin and Co. had been on many actual episodes ...there were many many..I thought it's o.k. for Mike, so it's o.k. for me..well..if you call Express,my guess is that you'll think that you had gone to Las Vegas and hit the proverbial Jackpot...it was a two day experience and on first day one of Martin's team showed up...proving to be friendly yet straightforward and professional..he gave me clear instructions as to what to do in case of continuance of the issue..next day following instruction, I had to call and this time Martin the Owner and Proprietor showed up...again a quiet confidence that speaks to his knowledge base as both a professional engineer and Master plumber..it was a bit of a tricky issue, but Martin was able to provide a clear analysis of projected issues and closure at very reasonable expense...even giving me advice not to follow some unnecessary expense for which he could have received rather lush compensation...hey...there is nothing better than this ! HONEST, COMPETENT AND PROFESSIONAL ADVICE, WITHOUT ANY INDICATION OF GREED...STRAIGHTFORWARD FRIENDLINESS AND EFFICIENT WORK WITH THE BEST EQUIPMENT....Need I add anything ?....Thanks to Mike Holmes and above all THANK YOU, MARTIN AND TEAM..... I went downstairs to do some laundry at 4:30 the day before Good Friday and found the laundry flooded. Something had gone wrong with the sump pump. We had just moved into the house a couple of months ago, so I called the builder, but just got his voice mail, Called our regular plumber (Harding Plumbing who is very good) but just got his answering service. i assumed everyone was gone for the weekend. I looked on Homestars and found ExpressRooter . They had a plumber here in about half an hour. He drained the sump pit down enough to see what was wrong and fixed it right away. He found the other places where ground water had seeped in and helped clean it all up while the sump pit was draining. Meanwhile our regular plumber got back to me -- he'd been in a meeting where his phone had to be off -- and when I told him that ExpressRooter was here, he said they were very good. If I hadn't already have used Harding Plumbing with great satisfaction for years, I'd make ExpressRooter my regular plumber. As it is, they'll be my main backup. Very nice to work with, very conscientious and worked quickly.

In the past we have had very bad contractors, guys that come in and the job looks great then the problems start. You then try to call them back, but the company no longer is there. The company has changed its name and phone number. Rob Wallbank and ExpressRooter were very kind, cared about the people, the job, and explained what they were doing at a fair price. I will be calling Rob back for all my plumbing needs.

The drain in our shower was backed up and nothing seemed to clear the pipes. We called express rooter and Yuri found that the pipes were blocked from the kitchen. He cut through our ceiling and removed the blockage and replaced the pipes with ones that were easier access in the event that something like this happened again. He suggested putting an access panel there for easy access to the pipes and thank god he did. It has come in handy. I would recomend this company to anybody for their plumbing needs.

Rob came in on very short notice and replaced a problem toilet for us. He was punctual, very friendly, explained what he was doing, gave advice on how to deal with toilet problems, and cleaned up afterward. Most major plumbing contractors in GTA insist that the plumber has to come in and see the problem before giving and estimate, and they charge for that visit if you don't use their services. What a scam. Express Rooter comes in and gives estimates for FREE! Highly recommended. Thanks Rob!

We have been struggling with problems in our Master ensuite for sometime and Robert was the first person to come in, explain the cause of the problem and fix it. He not only was extremely professional, he took the time to educate me on the problem and even suggest some quick and easy tips to ensure future problems do not occur. Thank you Robert!

Rob, Jeremy, and Tim did an excellent job fixing our drain. They were punctual, performed the job to what was quoted, did excellent quality work, and made sure the work area was clean and left how they first got there.

I called Express Rooter because there the official contractor for Holmes on homes(HGTV).Robert Wallbank from Express Rooter was able to determine what was causing my Main drain to back up.In the past I have had several other very well know companies come in and all they every want to do was to snake the drain. Robert was able to show me what was causing the problem by video camering the line and even gave me my opitions on how Express Rooter can fix the problem for good, great job Express Rooter, I highly recommend you call them first before you call anybody else.

Rob came in and was able to quickly educate me on my issue and provide a solution immediately. He had the parts with him and was finished in 20 minutes. Even when finished he took the time to explain what he had done and provide me with comparable information on the parts that could have been used so that I was aware. I will use Express Rooter on all my residential properties in the future.

Recently we had water seeping up through our foundation which we believed occurred from our water line being damaged during gas line upgrading in the area. The city maintenance crews who were dispatched because of our calls would only insist the problem was on our side of the property and it was now our problem. We called Martin who promptly put his below ground crew on standby while he came over to carry out an inspection. Although we had other advice, Martin recommended a safer route that would avoid aggravating a bad situation. The crew showed up on time, were courteous, respectful as they travelled through the house and were professional in their work. Unfortunately they worked over a bitterly cold Christmas holiday period. They even stayed late Christmas Eve to make sure the city turned the water back on. I'm delighted to be able to submit this review for a well run company.
