Clera Windows + Doors reviews (3717)

We had a positive experience with John Gainham sales rep Burlington ON and Clera Windows and doors for window replacement late spring 2017. We then proceeded to contact John for selection of new front door and installation. The cost was competitive and the workmanship was excellent. The job was completed in the time frame projected with no additional costs. The workers were very respectful came to install at a reasonable time in the morning and cleaned up thoroughly upon job completion. Once again an excellent job.

My husband and I had a few quotes for windows from a few different companies. We chose Clera because we liked the choice of windows and we really liked Dennis the sales representative, who was extremely personable and knowledgable. The day of the installation was very cold but Ranjan and his team were very efficient and tidy and had our installation done in two days which was the timeline that we were told. Our windows are beautiful, energy efficient and we are very pleased with the whole service from start to finish.

Finally 2 guys from Paul's team showed up but they were instructed to only repair 2 of the windows - one with a cracked frame and the other that was very difficult to open. None of the work that was promised to be done was even looked at. I have been in touch with customer service asking why the windows that get the ice build up were not looked at and I am now getting a run around from customer service saying they have to see the report before they can give me an answer. It has been 5 weeks now and still no answer! this company is a joke!! Guess the issues will be ignored forever as this is the way they seem to treat their customers. All I can do now is pass the word on to everyone I know about Clera Windows and Paul and his team. I know you read these reviews Paul so good job in brushing off another customer!!! You win the lack of customer service award!! The only thing this company is good at is taking your money! It has now been over a week since no one showed up for our repair and we are back to the beginning where no one will respond to phone calls, emails or voice mails and no attempt has been made to reschedule our repair! It really is too bad how Paul and his team operate in such a competitive market! I guess when Paul said if the review is not removed the repair does not get done is true! This is very sad that he is allowed to hold us hostage like this all because we have spoke of our bad experience. Guess soon I will have to remove my review to have my issue resolved! Wish I had of stopped my payments until this was resolved maybe then they would understand how we are feeling right now! NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! Well ... today was the day of the scheduled repair and of course I received a call saying no one is going to be coming today to do the repair as our parts were sent to a different area! Sad thing is I predicted they would not show up today! I can't stress enough about how disgusted I am with this company!!! Again I would like to warn anyone who is in the market for windows ...Do Not waste your time or money on this company!!!! Not sure why they could not have kept their appointment to repair the rest of the windows then come back to repair the one that required the new parts. This confirms that they just don't care about the customer!!! Paul has been in contact and a repair date has been scheduled. Finally received a response from Paul but only after writing a terrible review here. At first Paul was very understanding and willing to resolve our issue but has since refused to do anything now including even responding to my emails because I am not willing to remove my review before he does the repair! Paul's exact words were "it needs to be removed before we come out, this is how we operate - you remove the review and we will come and fix everything free of charge". Since I have refused to do anything with this review until the issue has been resolved Paul will not even respond to emails. I was not impressed with this company or product before but this has just confirmed that we completely wasted our hard earned money on a horrible product!!! I again want to stress that this company will only take your money and not provide you with a quality product or any service! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF CLERA WINDOWS!! THIS IS SUCH A HORRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS! We had our windows replaced 3 years ago and have been very disappointed right from the time of install. The installers were very unprofessional and not caring of our home. Not long after the install we had an issue with one of our windows that were installed, the bottom corner of the frame had cracked. When we called to report this we were asked "what did you do? slam it shut?" They did end up coming back to put some silicone in the crack. We have since had another one do this but haven't bothered to call them because we can easily do what they did to repair. We have now been experiencing ice buildup on the glass as well as on the frames of all windows ( picture attached but it loaded upside down) . I have been trying to get in touch with someone but they will not respond to either my emails or phone calls! Guess we are stuck with these garbage windows that we spent our hard earned money on. My advice to anyone in the market for replacement windows would be DO NOT PURCHASE CLERA WINDOWS!!! Save your money because the ones you are trying to replace are probably much better quality.

Clear Windows replaced our very old bow window to a new more energy efficient one. They were friendly and professional. Gave realistic timelines and stuck to them with minimal disruption while doing their work.

Our windows look fabulous. This is our second time going with this company. We loved our windows the first time and went back to them for this next round of Windows. We look forward to using them in the future when we continue to change out windows in our house. They have great customer service, and great staff.

I needed windows replaced in my living room. The wooden sills and frames were rotted. My neighbor just had a window replaced by Clera in the summer and recommended them. They did a fantastic job and look great. I also like the fact that the company (which is in Ontario) manufacture and install them. Thanks, Mike Favrin, Guelph, Ontario

They responded well to a recent warranty claim. My only suggestion would be to update the local contact for Hamilton on the main site for service requests. Getting hold of them for service was a challenge, but local manager responded well once we were in touch with him.

Listened to recommendations, wish we hadn't 12 weeks for an 8 week promised, terrible job, incorrect measurements and shoddy workmanship. 3 months late still have not finished corrections. Company won't respond to requests. Work has finally been completed. VP called to make amends. Once again False promises! VP called to make amends and never followed through on promises. Work has been completed but this company can talk the talk but definitely does not know how to walk the walk!

John came and installed our front door which we love and two years later after our install the locks needed adjusting. I called CLERA and John was sent back to us the very next day after my call and he fixed our locks in less than ten minutes. Two years later he remembered us and provided excellent service once again. We couldn’t be happier with how our door looks and properly closes keeping out those winter drafts. Would recommend CLERA to anyone!
