Have tried different companies, but no one has matched the skill and true craftsmanship of Clera Windows and Doors. Their work is absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend them for any projects you might have planned. You will not be disappointed. Unbeatable prices along with unbeatable workmanship, only Clera Windows and Doors can offer that!

Nine windows and one patio door X 2

I’m from small town Midland, where everyone says “shop local” “support local businesses” “local businesses offer better service than out of town”. Although I’m all for shopping local, there are some skills that local businesses cannot hold a candle to when compared to out-of-town businesses. And it’s sad that local businesses continue to prove this to be true. In the last 6 months I have experienced both options … for the same identical job – replacing nine windows and one patio door. This was a major upgrade to my house therefore only reasonable that I get multiple quotes. I sought out four quotes for this job – Clera Windows by FM Industries against three local businesses. My decision was not based solely on price - there was so much more that had to be taken into consideration in choosing the right company. It was based on how the vendor treated me. Did he talk “down” to me or talk “to” me. Did he answer my questions or made me feel stupid for asking. Did he teach me something about his product or did he skim through the product information thereby missing an opportunity to teach. Did he speak negatively about other businesses. Can I find previous customers who have dealt with them and could provide a recommendation based on their experience or is the only information available what I can find on their websites (testimonials “they” choose so of course would be positive). Not one of the four businesses “shined” and I ultimately chose a local company -- ONLY because they came with two unsolicited recommendations. Little did I know I was making the biggest mistake! The local company came and installed on December 13 and 14, 2015. By the end of December I started having problems with the windows icing up (11 degrees difference from one room to the other) and the patio door had thick ice buildup along the bottom and up both sides (I had to shrink wrap my new patio door!). By March 04, 2016 after meeting with the manufacturer I had lost complete faith in the product; they could not resolve the issues and the vendor agreed to remove his nine windows and one patio door and provide a full refund of what I had paid. A new company – a company from out-of-town – Clera Windows by FM Industries was hired to re-installed all nine windows and one patio door. This was completed May 16 and 17, 2016. Based on my experience, I can confidently say - there is absolutely NO comparison – the local company was sub-standard, and provided deplorable and unacceptable workmanship – while the out-of-town company - Clera Windows by FM Industries - was far superior, professional, with skilled technicians (installers) that took pride in providing excellent workmanship. Clera Windows by FM Industries renewed my faith that there is still a ‘male dominant business / company’ out there, that respects female customers as decision makers. They helped flip a very negative experience (with the local company) and showed me the kind of service and workmanship I should have received. Thank You Clera Windows by FM Industries – Les, Ryan and Chris - for your understanding of this horrible situation and showing me that you take pride in the work you do and that it’s not all about the bottom line. I’m impressed with the product. The two techs (Chris and Ryan) were professionals at all levels; they showed much patience while answering the multitude of questions; took pride in their skills, making sure to ask the customer’s opinion when something had to be changed; they were polite and respectful. Their workmanship excelled and they took the extra time and steps to pay special attention to the little details. Without hesitation - I would highly recommend Clera Windows by FM Industries.

    Bay Window- Updated

I posted a 10 rating review about a year ago for Clera Windows and Doors. I am writing a second one because there have been some revelations since then that have initially made me apprehensive about my rating however, considering the outcome have confirmed my great feelings in regards to this company. My bay window was installed February 2015. This past January I noticed a puddle of water on the right side of the window (inside). There was also mold in that area and it also had spread through out the wood on the bottom of the window. I contacted head office via e-mail and they forwarded my e-mail to the branch manager who had sold me my window. Todd contacted me in a timely manner and we went from there. He went into some detail about what it possibly could be including mold spores traveling from elsewhere in the home, high humidity in the home, and defective workmanship. He then had the installer come out and take a look after a week or so. The installer came out and was unsure how there was mold or water in the window claiming he had never seen this before. He did not look at the outside of the window. The installer told me we would have to wait until warmer weather so that a water test could be performed to see where the water may be coming in from. Since then I have been wiping excess water from the right corner and bleaching the mold. That was stressful for me because I didn't know why this was reoccurring. I was worried the water would damage the wood at the base of my window. I tried painting over the mold in the one corner and the mold would still just reappear. The buildup of water happened mostly when it was very cold outside. I had my husband searching everywhere in the house for possible mold in case the spores were indeed getting to the bay window from somewhere else in the house. I almost paid for a very expensive air test to be done because I Was worried but my husband said to just wait until they are able to confirm it's not the window. After a month I called Todd and then e-mailed photos of the water and mold. He contacted me almost immediately after seeing the photos because he noticed condensation on the window in one of the pictures. He started talking about humidity levels and what condensation means and he suspected that the humidity level in my home was too high. My thermostat also measures the humidity level in the house so I told him what it was. My humidity ended being in the normal range according to what the temperature was outside. A month passes by and my husband calls Todd and Todd verifies with him that we haven't been forgotten about and that someone will fix it once the weather is consistently over 10 degrees outside for more than a few days. Todd reassured him that he would be in touch with us. Almost two more months pass by and I email Todd because I wanted to start planting my flowers and my window is right over my flower bed. The installer contacted me the next day, came to my house, and for the first time looked at the outside of the window. He along with my husband noticed that the drains were covered from over cocking. They performed a water test and water was indeed going into the house. There was also a mounting screw that was letting water in. In addition, the installer told us that there was window trim at the base of the window that wasn't sealed properly from factory. Although it has taken a little time for this problem to be fixed I am keeping my initial rating for CLERA as a 10 because of how they resolved this problem, which is the most important part of this review. No one is perfect and I believe that taking accountability and fixing mistakes shows good character. There are SO many companies out there that don't follow through on the customer service end of things after a job is done but CLERA does! Todd has decided to reinstall the entire window to ensure 100% that there is no water damage to the wooden base of the bay window and that everything else is perfect. I have spoken to the vice president who reassured me that they focus on making each and every customer happy and that they take pride in the products they sell. This company will not disappoint:)

    Answer from pro:

    Window Replacement

I met Gary, from Clera Windows and Doors, in Feb of this year. He was very honest with me. The quotes were reasonable. The time he quoted me was spot on. The window was ready for installation in May, just as I was told. My home is in Amherstburg, Ont. I needed a new large front window badly. The installers arrived at home at the time we arranged. The old window removed an taken away. The new window was installed quickly and professionally. The installers were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. If you want an excellent window company to transform your home, call Gary at Clera Windows and Doors.

    front door and basement windows

Replaced front front door and 3 basement windows. Gareth was awesome. Not giving a full ten stars out of ten because today was particularly windy where I live, and the front door was unlocked and opened by itself. Called the company regarding issue and they were pleasant and stated they would fix the issue as soon as they can. Would do business with them again.

Terry Blondin and his team installed 4 replacement windows in our home. The entire process was effortless and seamless! Installers took time to explain the process from start to finish and cleaned the job site thoroughly upon completion. The replacement windows look great and have added comfort and value to our home.

    Window Replacement

We had Clera replace most of the windows in our 100+ year old house. We had several companies give us estimates, and we chose Clera because their representative (Mike) was the most thorough and helpful person, by far. He took the time to explain the options and their benefits, and offered us multiple ideas about how to proceed. He even went above and beyond to try and find a solution for us to keep one particular window with original leaded glass. Our installers Omar and Alex were also great — very friendly and polite. Omar was very prompt in answering my questions about the installation process via text message, and they were fast and efficient in their work. They did a great job and were very accommodating about working around the limited street parking in our neighbourhood. The work looks fantastic — such an improvement from our dingy old windows! — and some of our neighbours even stopped by to ask for a referral.
