During the ice storm I found myself with a flooded bathroom, a broken toilet and water dripping into my basement, nothing to do with the storm however.. Even though they were working 16 hour days Hoerner agreed to come and fix the problem. They came and fixed the toilet, snaked the drain and promised to return at my convenience in the new year to fix the problem permanently. Before they left I mentioned a foul smell in my laundry that started just after I had some weeping tile work done on the side of my house. They said they would check it out when they came back. Last week Kyle and David returned to inspect the pipes with a camera and make any necessary repairs. What they discovered was a "laundry list" of plumbing errors. Broken clay pipes clogged with roots, an uncapped drain that was a health hazard, and my laundry room a mess of not to code plumbing and the cause of the odour. Over the next four days they replaced broken pipes, which required digging up most of my basement floor, installed a sump pump in the laundry room, and re-plumbed the entire room to not only bring it to code but also by rerouting some pipes made it a safer and more efficient space. Last but not least, no more foul smell! Both Kyle and David were great, they went above and beyond, moving carpeting and shelving that I couldn't manage, covering everything in plastic to protect the rest of my basement. More than anything it gives me great peace of mind to know that everything is now up to code and safe!
Thanks, Heather
