    Customer Service - Complete Program

    I have been a satisfied customer of HomeTurf until I changed my phone number this year. HomeTurf usually calls the day before they do the aeration so I can mark my sprinkler heads. Somehow the technician kept showing up without calling. This went on for a couple of months. After numerous phone calls with the customer service, it was apparent that the work order was generated with my old phone number. Long story short, HomeTurf made an effort to rectify the problem immediately. Although I was frustrated with their customer service, it was an issue with communication rather than lawn care services. I must HomeTurf did a very good job with my lawn maintenance and I still like their service!

    Great Results!

    We've used this service for 2 years. The service is timely, professional and the results are amazing! You get a report along with every treatment on the status of your grass, and they give you an update on what has been completed and what is outstanding. This service has reduced the amount of weeks in our yard tremendously. Highly recommend!!

    Weed control

    First year using this company for full season. Weeds are not under control. After reading some of the reviews, I think the technician also did not pay much attention. I could see no evidence of weed control on boulevard (corner lot) and very little in backyard. Many many weeds were missed. I have called and asked for a re-spray. I am basing my rating on service to date. To me it is very important how a company responds when facing issues. I will update this thread if they resolve. In the meantime it is a 1- 2 week delay before they will be able to re-spray. I think this is way too long given we are almost into July but will wait and see. I shouldn't have had to call if the lawn was properly sprayed the first time.

Of course from time to time weeds can be missed or unaffected by our weed control depending on the conditions etc. This is why we complete our free re-sprays with out question. We are glad that a re-spray has been set up for you and hope that it results in all of your weeds being eliminated. We do complete the re-spray applications as soon as possible but use 1 to 2 weeks as a guideline as we never like to over promise and many factors can effect our applications such as weather.     Lawn care service

    This is our 3rd year now with Hometurf Lawncare and we are very pleased with their service. The quality of our lawn has improved since we discovered Hometurf. We pre-pay in November and than leave it in their capable hands. They really watch the weather to know the correct time to put seed, fertilize, spray for weeds and aerate the soil. We are very pleased with the quality of service and friendliness of staff. Judging from this year's service we will be signing up again in November. Thank You Hometurf!

    Wavered commitment - Positive Update

    Updated - I am extremely pleased with the end result with Home Turf and Joel's approach to his business. Following my request to cancel he immediately took the time to discuss the issues I've had and his approach to address my concerns. To keep this short, i'd like to clearly state that while my experience was not good, you should not judge the failures of a few (selected staff) when looking to choose a service solution with Home Turf. Joel runs a great business with hundreds of happy consumers and stands behind his operation with with great customer service. Original Review It is unusual for me to take the time to write a review, however, I thought my particular situation could help other consumers identify a reputable, committed company to take care of their needs. For ease, I will keep this as concise as possible by limiting my description to the actual service by visit. Visit 1 - Home Turf arrives and completes a full fertilizer which is documented on their report. However, only the front yard was completed, which was validated by my home security system. Second visit scheduled. Miss representation? Call it what you will. Visit 2 - Weed control, this time they arrived on schedule, completed the full service, however left 4 foot areas of dead grass due to over spraying. They had to come back to drop seed to rectify the issue. Visit 3 - Aeration, Home Turn Calls the previous night to ask us to open the gate and mark the in ground sprinklers. Since my last two visits were met with issues, I booked the day off to be at home. However, they did not show up. No call, update or email to let us know. While the reviews on Home Stars are great for a directional understanding of a businesses offering, i’m not sure the past reviews represent their current service capabilities, at least in my area (North York/Toronto). Following this posting I will be seeking a pro-rated and or full reimbursement of my service, which I expect will be difficult. I will provide a final review once I hear from them.

    Lawn treatment

    We moved into our new home last year and we decided to use Hometurf this spring/summer season. The house was over grown with weeds but after three applications of weed treatment so far this season, there has been an significant improvement and we are very happy. Not only Hometurf at a very reasonably price, but the customer service has been fantastic. Would recommend to family and friends.

    Lawn care

    The guy who came for weed control was soo good that all my weeds got cleared out. He sprayed it so well, which is rare. Hope u reward him too.

    Lawn care

    We have used home turf for many years. We really like the service. It is nice to not have to think about the lawn and just let them do it. Any experiences we have had with their customer service has also been great. Would recommend to friends.

    Complete Lawn Care Service

    Have tried 2 or 3 lawn care companies in past. None were as thorough and efficient as Hometurf. Others spread fertilizer in wide W pattern. Hometurf carefully applies fertilizer and completely covers all areas of lawn. Technicians are polite and willing to discuss any problems or situations with you. Service is reasonably priced and competitive with other companies. I have paid the same price for the past 3 years. Unlike competitors, Hometurf has not tried a price increase when they thought I was an established customer.

    Lawn Care

    Very poor lawn care service and very poor customer service. Their "lawn analysis" and "comments" on the worksheets would give you the impression that they didn't even visit your property. I called for feedback on weeds and tree roots growing in my lawn and they offered no insight or solution. I had better luck visiting the local nursery for recommendations. Be aware of their automatic renewal terms as well. Good luck.
