Mr. Rooter Plumbing of GTA reviews (1922)

Called Mr. Rooter to give me a quote on installing new faucet, removing garbage disposal and piping for dishwasher. Tech scheduled between 12-2. Got a call at 2:30 telling me tech is on his way and would be there within an hour - no apology for lateness. Tech arrived and looked under sink, didn't have working flashlight, I'm not sure what he looked at. Quoted me $263 to install faucet (provided by me), $117 X 2 to install drains for my double sink, $360 to install dishwasher, $250 to remove garbage disposal and re-pipe. I told him it's way overpriced and paid him their trip fee of $80. I got another certified plumber recommended by a relative who came in changed faucet for $100, two drains were at $30 installed, $100 for removal of garbage disposal and re-piping. At this point I asked plumber to take a look at my dishwasher, he opened it up and said that my water is hooked up properly but he said that there might be something wrong with my dishwasher. This is the part that made me mad because I paid $80 trip fee for someone to come in and evaluate my plumbing needs. I can live with price being too high but I can't live with fact that for my $80 I didn't even get proper assessment of my issue. It bothers me that certificated technician shows up to work site without flashlight and didn't even bother looking under my dishwasher to see what my needs are and instead start listing me all the things I need. Very disappointing and pursuing refund with better bureau business.

Even though it was a public holiday, Rick arrived within hours of my phone call and provided a very professional service. He replaced the part while at the same time explaining exactly what he was doing. He also offered many other useful tips. Great service overall.

Excellent customer service Brian was super efficient and friendly.He loved our dogs. Only drawback is that it is very expensive.We will call again but for a bigger job which would be more cost-efficient .

Clean water break inside wall in finished basement behind shower. Brian came on time within in a 2 hour window and conducted an efficient assessment. With evident water damage got me in touch with water damage experts to get space opened up, etc. Once opened, was back in a flash to provide a clear diagnostic of the issue and how to solve it. Very transparent on fees and options and stopped the leak in about an hour. Didn't make me feel rushed or pressured in any way. Fast, efficient, respectful and transparent.

The drain stack servicing the first floor kitchen and bath developed a serious hole and flooded the basement. I called Mr Rooter (North York) at around noon and the pleasant call centre rep promised a visit from a tech within the hour. True to their claim, Will V came by for a free inspection by 1pm. He clearly explained the problem and the options for repair. The problem was years of using acidic drain cleaners burned a hole through the 5 inch copper stack. I agreed to the quote and he arrived the next day. The job was estimated at four hours but the stack was so difficult to work with that Will took ten hours. Will was patient and explained the complications clearly throughout his work. The final result was a nicely upgraded stack that flows smoothly. With the prompt updates from the Rooter call centre staff and the professional dedication of Will V, I believe I got fair value for the dollar. Well done.

price changed to fixed rate when done in only 20 minutes. I was given impression that we pay per hour. $500 / 20 minutes is not fair. Quick work though, very fast

Long story: We had bought a new dishwasher from Sears, but the installer from them took one look at the plumbing set up under our sink and told us we'd have to have it replaced--the previous owner of our home had done a real Disaster DIY job under our kitchen sink. Rick Phillips came by at about 9 o'clock from Mr. Rooter, fixed the utter mess that was the old plumbing, put in proper pipes, and installed the dishwasher for us. He also gave us a good number of tips on how to make sure the plumbing stayed good for the future.

I recently was experiencing a problem I thought was related to plumbing. Rick arrived and did a great job of helping me troubleshoot. The problem was not related to plumbing, in fact, but he still had some other advice on prevention that was useful. He went above and beyond. I will ask for Rick again if I have a plumbing problem in the future.

Brian was our plumber (Sunday) who replaced our kitchen faucet. Far from the average faucet replacement, complexities arose - Brian responded easily - very respectful and courteous - positive experience - will certainly use this company and Brian again!

I had a toilet that was dripping water and once overlooked the bathroom, causing the hallway floor beside it to buckle. I scheduled the service for a Sunday and was very pleased with the results. The appointment was quickly made, the person who took the call was very courteous and professional. The technician, Will, not only did he fixed the problem but he went out if his way to check all the possible sources for malfunction in the future. He also explained a lot if things about the various products and options and recommended someone that may help with the floor. I will use this company in the future and definitely recommend them to others.
