    replace both stop valves under kitchen sink

    John D. at Mr. Rooter (North York) did a great job. The whole experience, right from the phone call, went smoothly: - Phone call was answered on the first ring; I called at night and was able to book a 10am-12pm slot for the next day. - Received a confirmation call an hour prior to arrival. - John D. arrived on time in a clean, professional-looking van. Used booties to cover boots upon request. - Price quote was given in writing before the job started; he consulted a binder of prices set by the company, so there's some assurance there. - He estimated an hour for the job, and the job did indeed take an hour. - He cleaned the area under the sink (I think I saw a spray bottle of cleaning product) after the job was complete. - He fixed up the loose kitchen faucet without me asking, even though it wasn't technically responsible for the leaking stop valve. I was particularly grateful because I wasted a full day waiting for a no-show plumber the previous day (NOT Mr. Rooter, but another highly-rated independent guy). I wish I had called Mr. Rooter right from the beginning.

    Plumbing

    John Dima from Mr. Rooter was here to unplug our bathroom. He was pleasant and efficient. We also asked him to unplug our basement from the house to the street, but John was good enough to inform us that the city should do that at no cost. Thanks John and Mr. Rooter.

    Drain snake

    Had a drain snaked last month, Mr R was more expensive than some other options but they were ready and available on the weekend which was great (the others we called advertised weekend service, but said they were too busy and tried scheduling us the next week). Work was professional and effective, no mess. HOWEVER, 3 weeks later we noticed a slow weeping from joints in the drain pipes. Called Mr R back (again on the weekend) and they came back promptly and resealed the joints with gaskets and Teflon tape, no charge and no hassle. This shows to me that the company really does back up their quality claims, and I will be calling them again for my next plumbing needs.

    kitchen drain

    My kitchen sink backed up. I used plunge,tried dreno liquid, but that did not work. Next, I own a 25 feet snake but it did not work either. I was really disappointed. I asked my coworkers if they know any good plumber-they suggest me Mr Rooter. I called Mr Rooter of Scarborough, they scheduled me in and Will Viilcent came on Saturday at noon. He was very knowledgeable and professional-no mess left behind. Price was reasonable. I strongly recommend Mr Rooter and Will to anyone with plumbing problems.

    Water leak from unknown souce

    The technician, Rick, was, if not the most professional and courtiest of any previous service techinician from any other service. He took time to explain all repairs in a way we could understand. Would highly recommend him bar none. Well done Rick !

    Replacement of sewage ejector (sump pump)

    I first called Mr. Rooter at 10:45 p.m. on a Thursday night because my tenant in the basement apartment had complained that she couldn't flush the toilet. I immediately knew there was a problem with the sump pump. Rick Phillips arrived in less that 1 hr. to evaluate the situation. Rick also believed that the problem was the sump pump. Since he didn't have a sump pump in his truck that would be right for the job, he promised that I would be his first appointment the following morning after he got the right pump from his supplier. Rick arrived on Friday morning at 9 a.m. with the new pump & proceeded to remove the old pump. Rick was very helpful, efficient & quick in making the necessary replacement of the pump. Replacing a sewage sump pump is a very dirty job; however, Rick was very careful not to make a mess in my tenant's apartment. I have used Mr. Rooter for all my plumbing needs for years & I have always been satisfied with the quality of the work done by Mr. Rooter's plumbers - Rick Phillips did a terrific job under difficult circumstances as quickly as possible.

    Replace clay pipes blocked by tree roots

    Tree roots were blocking pipes in basement leading to sewage backup. Travis was onsite in an hour or so and we decided to dig up the basement to replace the pipes. Travis, Alex & the team were fast, clean & professional, even while dealing with extra work and their own flooding problems from the big storm. This is last segment to be replaced (thank goodness!) but if I need work done again I wouldn't hesitate to call them. Good work; fair price; professional service.

    Faucet Repair and basement valve repair

    Justin, came to our house. Did the repair jobs very well with kind polite service, patiently answering all our questions. He made honest, knowledgeable, and money saving suggestions in a easy to understand manner. It was very helpful to our family, since most members of our family do not speak english as a 1st language.

    Drain clogged

    Blockage in main plumbing stack caused overflow flooding downstairs. Day after big flooding had all plumbers busy. Called Mr. Rooter @ 6:30 AM. Travis arrived 30 minutes later! Solved problem quickly. Cleaned up after himself. Very efficient, courteous. Would recommend any time.

    clogged floor drain

    Water and dirt was coming up from our floor drain in the laundry room. Called Mr. Rooter came same day and Brian Pellett unclogged the drain, he was curtious,polite and knowledgeable. I would recommend Mr Rooter to everyone.
