    toilet overflow turn out $10,000

    Mr. Rooter was quick to respond to clean our overflow toilet. They convinced my mother that replace the whole sewage line would solve the problem completely and have my mother signed on $10,000 contract. When we confronted Mr. Rooter, they showed a copy of contract, said, "it is signed!"

    sewer line inspection

    We called Mr. Rooter Plumbing and they recommended an expensive camera inspection to inspect our sewer line outside the house. They came back with a horror story report that it could cost $7000 to fix. We decided to call the city of Oshawa only to find out that this serivice is done free of charge because the city is responsible for sewer lines outside of the house. Most responsible plumbers would have in formed us of that. I will not be dealing with them again.

    drainage issue

    I phoned Mr. Rooter late on Thursday and they told me someone would be at my house at 9:00am the next morning. The technician showed up exactly at that time right after a pre call. He assessed the problem and the issue was worse than expected. He kept me in the loop and provided various solutions and recommendations. He was awesome. The quality of his work was great.     Replace Hot Water Tank

    Ziggy responded to my call very quickly. He replaced the hot water tank within a couple of hours and left the area very clean. Very efficient, clean and polite. Thank you Ziggy.

    Clogged toilet or pipe problem...

    I contacted Mr. Rooter for a second opinion/quote on what I thought had been a clogged toilet. I had been advised by another company that we had an issue with the pipe, which needed to be replaced under the house (at a cost of $2000+). When Marc from Mr. Rooter arrived, I gave him all the details. I asked him to take a look and then quote on the job. Marc spent quite some time looking around and then told me what the problem was - a clogged toilet. He offered to use a snake to try and clear it out and he was able to! Marc saved us over $1800! Mr. Rooter provided good, honest service - would highly recommend.

    Found a hidden leak another plumber couldn't find!

    While other companies send out so-called technicians, Mr. Rooter sends you liscensed plumbers who are experienced, methodical and professional. We had a leak in our basement and while another plumber came to our house without tools and tried to blame it on our roof, the Mr. Rooter plumber got right to work, explained the entire process, and was very respectful of our home. They came when they said they would,and kept to the anticipated timeline and budget. We will call them again and recommend them to friends and neighbours. Service like this is so rare these days. Thanks!

    main drain pipe replacement

    Travis was very helpful, honest, and flexible with what was required. We are very satisfied with the work done and the time in which it was completed. We would recommend Mr. Rooter. thanks.

    2nd call to Mr Rooter

    Over the last 10 years, I've needed a plumber twice. Both times it was Sasha from Mr Rooter. In my line of work as a realtor I see some major botch jobs in homes and I'm very skeptical. In this case, the process is always amazing. He's polite, clean, efficient and professional to a tee. He's the only tech I will call or recommend so you better keep him there for a long time :) -Paul @UniqueToronto.com

    Drain inspection / camera

    They came in to inspect a clay drain pipe, that I was told by another company had collapsed (and they were using scare tactics to get me to let them do the work the next day for $3000). Well, Mr. Rooter did the inspection - informed me that the drain did not collapse and that, yes, being a clay pipe and with the trees out front, it will have to be replaced eventually - but it was not urgent by no means (could be years). Very clean and professional. Thanks Mr. Rooter! (and shame on the other company with a similar sounding name!)

    Plumbing and repairs

    I was impressed with their follow-through. Mr Rooter dispatched a technician named Will, who arrived at my store in less than 2 hours. He spent over 2 hours providing a detailed quote. I had a number of repairs that needed to take place. He sourced the parts and completed the work in the same day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I have had many of plumbers since I have been in business and none of them have been as reliable as Mr Rooter -- ask for Will Vincent
