    mr rooter plumbing

    George the plumber from mr rooter did an excellent job with diagnosis and repair. Afterwards he did an excellent clean up. I was very impressed! Certainly i will be using them in the future.

    Toilet leak (wax seal/gasket)

    (choice via yellow pages) Called Mr Rooter for a toilet leaking (bowl & flooring). I asked about their service call charges and was told M-F before 6pm that they don't any but after 6pm there is a trip charge of $69.99. They scheduled me the same day (430p-6p) and waited for the technician. The technician arrived after 6pm and I asked if I will be charged because it is past 6pm. He said No. (ok, good). I showed technician where the toilet and after assessing the situation, I asked the technician if I need to show where the main shut off. The technician said 'no need' and let me tell about the cost first. The technician referenced the guide book and told me that the cost will be $273.57 plus HST. Yes (steep). But I have no reference/basis on how much it should cost. So, I said okay. I then verified that the amount is 'what it is' and no additional charges. This the part where I don't agree...."There is an addtional FUEL SURCHARGE of $15.00". It is well printed on the invoice but Mr Rooter could have mentioned that in the first place that THEY have a "fuel surcharge" on all invoices. So the consumer can decide whether to complete the service call. It puts you in a bind especially if you have an emergency. (Back to the service call) The technician performed the job and turned on the shut off valve to test any toilet bowl leakage (no leak) but the shut off valve is now leaking (probably from wear/tear & age, (??), it was not leaking when it got turned off). How much is a shut off valve {It is normally $135.00] but does it really cost that much since they are 'on site' already. One could understand if it is a separate call.. Unfortunately, the initial problem culminated other problem that I might need to replace the whole unit since it also develop a leak between the tank and bowl. I am not sure if that tank to bowl washer/seal/gasket can be replaced. Anyway, after placing the service call I noticed "Homestars" on their ad. I noticed 'homestars' before when initially googled a plumbing company I had called prior to calling Mr. Rooter. Hence, my comment about my experience. I read some of the reviews posted and had positive thoughts until the experience above. I would probably reference Homestars for future projects or services but will diligently do some homework/ask references/word of mouth when choosing companies. In my scenario, I would have done more but I have 2 elderly people and needed it repaired. But in a major emergency one cannot be picky and get who could respond first.

    Put in new toilet and service call

    Joseph of Mr. Rooter came into my life when my toilet broke down. I have always been wary of having items in my home serviced, but after listened to Joseph and watched him work, I was put at ease. He came the day I called to fix my toilet and it was found I needed a new toilet, so within one week I had my new toilet installed and working well. I had my water turned off in the house and for some reason my toilet didn't flush properly after that. I called Mr. Rooter and Joseph came the very next day. What had happened was the hose in the tank had come off. It took him one second to fix it. Boy I felt stupid, but Joseph is a very polite gentleman and put me at ease. Also, no charge. I have nothing but good to say about Joseph and if you need someone call him. Dale Kennedy

    Sink faucet replacement

    The plumber, Joseph De Stefano, was on time, (actually early), polite, very clear in his explanation of the task at hand, got right down to business, and didn't stop until he was done. In spite of the difficulties my particular problem presented, he never uttered a word of complaint, and demonstrated a rare level of competence and professionalism. I deal with a great many contractors, and I was very impressed.

    Repair of leeking bathtub faucet and installation of new kitchen faucet

    Professional, courteous and efficient service. My confidence in Mr. Rooter began from my first call - person taking my call was professional but friendly. She told me that I would get a call back to confirm my appointment and asked approximately what time I'd like to receive the call. The confirmation call came in at exactly the time promised. I was asked if I'd like a morning, afternoon or evening appointment. Then I was given a choice of time. A call came in the day of the appointment to tell me that Marc was on his way and will be here at the expected time. True to their word, Marc was here on time and was professional, courteous and efficient. Great service. Would definitely use Mr. Rooter again.

    drain clogged

    service timely and great- came on time and Joseph a great guy and most neat professional and efficient worker . it was a pleasure doing business with this individual and company. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs henry

    Locating and fixing Water Hammer problem

    Plumbers Phil Stinner and Joe Locker came to our home to detect and repair water hammering issues. Working from the basement to the top floor they were able to correctly locate and correct the problems that other technicians/installers were unable to do. In addition, these skilled technicians discovered additional issues from a recent installation that will now be properly addressed. These are professional guys who know their stuff! Thank you.

    Clogged drain fix

    I called Mr. Rooter on a Saturday afternoon because my bathroom sink was clogged. Mr. Rooter dispatched Mark Resendes within about 2 hours and he fixed the problem in less than one hour. He did great work and explained the problem clearly.

    blocked drain pipe

    Quick response. Very courteous, knowledgable and equiped with both knowledge and tools to do the job. Explained cost and work needed to be done upfront. No hesitation recommending them. Marc Resendes and George were plumbers responsible for the job

    Bathroom piping issue

    The service was extraordinary starting from the friendly front line receptionist who received my called and arranged for a plumber within the hour. Marc . The Plumbng techinician assigned, arrived on time and was able to detect the issue within seconds. He gave his recommendations and was able to fix the problem in an orderly, efficient, effective and very professional manner. Clearly, Marc is a plumbing techinican with a great wealth of knowledge, goes the extra step, produces clean quality work, and is very passionate about his work. I would recommend Mr. Rooter and specifically I would request Marc for all your plubming needs. If you are looking for quality, knowledge, honesty and cost effectiveness, call Mr. Rooter.
