Mr. Rooter Plumbing of GTA reviews (1922)

As usual, Mr Rooter came to the rescue at a moment's notice. John was professional, thorough and competent. He helped us immensely in giving us advice on the basement reno we have started. We'll be having him back to finish the plumbing part of the reno for sure. Love the professional uniform.

On Tuesday, July 12, 2011, my wife phoned Mr. Rooter as we wanted to have our bathroom sink replaced because it was corroded and had been occasionally leaking. Within an hour, Mr. Rooter sent us David Candon, a friendly, professional, knowledgeable and experienced plumber who was able to replace our sink very much to our satisfaction. No hourly rates or unrealistic estimates like you would get from most plumbers. He quoted a very fair price and we just instinctively knew that he was trustworthy (and I'm sure that his Irish brogue went a long way with my wife). He did such a wonderful and efficient job that we even signed up for the Mr. Rooter Advantage Plan since we would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Rooter (and especially David Candon) to our family and friends. This was our first time using Mr. Rooter, but it won't be the last (since my plumbing knowledge would fill a thimble).

Drip Drip Drip. That's what I was faced with last night. The shut off value to the outside facet had broken and it needed immediate attention. I called Mr. Rooter and within an hour Brian was at our door to fix the problem. I found him to be polite, knowledgeable and very proficient in what he did. Would I recommend him? The answer would be an unqualified "yes".

When my husband removed drywall to renovate our 2nd floor closet, he discovered that the previous owners had pierced a pipe with a screw. Now rusted, the disturbance caused the pipe to leak water through our kitchen ceiling and potlight. Mr. Rooter responded promptly. Geroge Shakh was polite, helpful, and got the job fixed quickly and correctly. We're pleased, and relieved!

Mr Rooter's service is of good quality and they arrived at exact time of appointment. The price is very reasonable. Good job! I will definitely recommend Mr Rooter to everyone.

Finding your plumbing has backed, up causing damage to your finished basement, is never fun. And it's a can of worms, because once you start poking around you'll often find other things that were done poorly somewhere along the way, especially on a house as old as ours. Thank heavens we contacted Mr. Rooter. Phil Stinner handled everything for us so wonderfully and it really helped reduce the trauma. He was so service-focused, and really made us feel like he was there to help, not just trying to "sell us repairs." Every time we encountered a new thing that needed fixing, he helped us weigh the pros & cons of how to address it, and even though the cost was not insignificant, I know for a fact that we got incredible value for it. (We shopped around!) The crew that did the work was super-efficient and went above-and-beyond in many ways. In dealing with this crisis, there's no question that the plumbing fix was the smoothest, quickest and least-painful part. (Just don't ask about the contractors who've been refinishing the basement...)

This was the scenario: The hot water riser (that braided steel flexible pipe connected to the faucet) in our main floor bathroom burst suddenly. Because there were no shut-off valves in the original 1960s plumbing, it meant the water was shut-off for the entire house. No toilets, no handwashing, no drinking, nothing. Made a call to Mr Rooter and explained what had happened. The lovely lady (Laurie) calmly took down my information, despite a computer outage, and spoke with the dispatcher about getting someone out to my house asap. I was thrilled to be told a plumber would be "there within the hour" and they were right -- John arrived on the scene ready to work. He knew exactly what to do, explained it to me in detail, found the rates in his binder (no hiding or going to the van to come up with the price). He was concise and honest. He presented two no-pressure options: simply replace both risers (since they are the same age) or replace riser AND install valves. I went for the latter. He got to work, removing the old and installing the new, and finished within an hour! He was tidy, courteous, quick and thorough. I am very impressed with Mr Rooter!!! I feel much better knowing I can call them whenever I have plumbing problems.

We had no hot water so I figured it was a problem with our water heater, instead it turned out to be a broken mixer. With two young kids having freezing baths was not an option, we needed someone in quickly. The call was answered quickly, within an hour the dispatcher called to let me know someone was on the way. Within 3 hours of my first call the job was done. John was very professional, courteous and fast. Thank you! I would definitely use you again and recommend you to others.

Whenever I need a plumber, I call Mr. Rooter. A technician comes quickly, provides a no cost estimate and then if you agree to the work, performs the job quickly and efficiently. I signed up for the Advantage Plan years ago and take advantage of the lower prices. Today it was a leaky faucet. I requested John Dima who has performed work for me in the past. He came, he quoted, he fixed and left. Beautiful! And no more drips.

John was an excellent technician. Not only did he unclog the drain (took a few tries and two different snakes), he was courteous and respectful to my property. He was very professional and answered all my questions.
