    Under the sink pipe replacement

    We had a pipe peak under the sink in the kitchen. There was an old pipe leaking. The guy came 1 day late without any notice and spent 30 minutes replacing the copper pipe for some plastic pipe charging $400 for this service. Not punctual and way overpriced

    replaced duralock

    leak below basin-broken duralock MrRooter supplied and Installed new duralock connection under basin Installed new two stainless steel braided supply line, both hotand cold. Tested and checked for leaks. The stainless steel braided supply lines were working and did not need to be replaced The Plumber could not tell me the cost of the duralock nor could they tell me cost per hour of labour. Service manager Fred had same response The Plumber(Peter) was the worst service person I have ever had in my home Avoid this company complete rip off I felt completely taken for a ride

    Very Expensive

    It was Sunday and my toilet water pump was dripping and would take an hour to fill up the tank. I called and they said that someone could come between 12:00-3:00. After 2:00 they called said that someone was on their way and would be there in an hour, then 15 minutes later they called again saying the supplier was closed and they couldn't get the part so they would come the next day between 10:00-12:00. Didn't they know this when I initally called and explained my problem? It would have been nice to have been told sooner so I wasn't waiting a whole afternoon. On the Monday I get a call at 11:30 saying they would be there within an hour. The problem was with the pump and flapper, he said it would be over $300 to replace or he could replace the whole toilet for $1,100 (if they provided the toilet) and $500 (if I bought the toilet). I also asked about my faucet handle which was dripping at times. He said to fix it would be over $300 or he had a Moyen in the truck that he could use to replace it for $500. I declined the faucet fix. But out of desparation and not wanting to waste another day of waiting to see if I could get someone else and fear that the toilet may completely break-down and be unuseable I agreed to have the toilet fixed. To replace the pump and flapper it was $388 after taxes. Considering that Home Depot sells the part they replaced for a max of $40 I thought $388 for not even 30 minutes of his time was pretty mercenary. The plumber was polite and pleasant, I don't know if the gouging is an individual plumber decision or company policy but either way I can't recommend Mr. Rooter.

    Clogged toilet

    Bruce from Mr. Rooter came over and fixed our clogged toilet. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, added more water to our tank and finished the toilet in a matter of minutes. We are so happy to have the toilet working again!

    Horrible service and crazy expensive

    Charged me 100$ for a visit. I had a slip joint nut that needed to be replaced and they quoted me 600$! Do not fall for this trap fo a service

    Mistake fixed

    We found a leak in a 1/2" hot water copper pipe a foot away from the hot water tank on Good Friday eve. Unfortunately, our go-to plumber was not available, so we called Mr. Rooter. It was obviously not our day, as the plumber who responded to the call mistakenly decided that the work required several hours of preparations, applied trip charges ($100) and left. The work was completed in 20 minutes the next day by our go-to plumber. After I posted a review on HomeStars, the next morning I received a call from Mr. Rooter's director of operations, who apologized, assured me that this case does not represent their values and practices, and immediately provided a refund. It is unfortunate that things went wrong in our case, but I have to admit that Mr. Rooter is responsive and values their customers.

    stupid drips

    Called Mr Rooter who had someone over in just over an hour. Samuel took a look and didn't see anything but did not give up. He found the leak and pointed out another problem we have, Samuel took the time to explain in detail abybout our old pipes (we knew he wasn't selling us a story because wee had heard last time about the pipes). We agreed with Samuel and had the main drain pipe under the sink replaced. I am happy with the work and the price. would highly recommend Samuel if you are looking for a hard working honest guy.

    Excellent customer service by Bruce

    Bruce was great. He updated me on his drive in, updated me on the cost, explained what was happening during his time there. Would explain what was on going and what he did to complete the job and finish the job. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

    Love Mr. Rooter North York - Emergency Resolved on Sunday!!

    Outstanding Peter. We had two emergencies; one the main valve leak/pipe repair and the other was a shower repair. He finished in 45mins and did quality work, good as new along with giving tips. Mr. Rooter responds quickly, has a 24 hr emergency service and does quality work at an affordable price. Thanks again Peter for attending to us so quickly you are exceptional.     Fixed clogged tub and leak issue same day

    Great service and same day fix. Plumber assessed the situation in detail and fixed within a couple hours. Highly recommend for future. Straightforward, good price and trustworthy team of pros
