    pluged drain

After calling one of the bigger plumping companies in the GTA, I found myself having to spend lots of money. I had a plumper come to my house to fix my toilet he proceeded to first plunge then snake my toilet with not avail. After spend over an hour at my house he tells me that I will require a new toilet. He said that my rim holes where plugged not allowing the water to flow good? causing my flush problem. He quoted me close $1000.00 to fix this problem, so I paid him for his time and said I would let him know. That is when I called Mr Rooter I talked to a gentleman by the name of Fred Colley he told me that this was not likely the cause of the problem that he would be happy to come out and check it for me for a small service charge. I was apprehensive of this because I have already paid once, but after talking to him he made me feel that he could fix this problem for a lot less that the other guy so I said OK.When My Colley came to my house I was surprised to find out that he was the manager there. He proceeded to enter my house with these cute little booties he wore to protect my house. He went in with a snake to see what he could do. A short time later I walked to the bathroom to find him removing my toilet,he reached into the bottom of my toilet to find my wife's missing toothbrush. He reenstalled the toilet checked the operation of it and handed me a bill of $220.00. After gooing though this hole thing I was very happy my toilet was fixed alot less that I was told. I got a fridge magnet for future a smile, hand shake and thank you for calling Mr Rooter. Thank you Mr. Colley I will tell all my friends Best service ever Wayne

    Bathroom Drains Blocked

I knew I had a plumbing problem because I was unable to use my shower. I called Mr. Rooter because I have heard nothing but great reviews from this company. Fred was at my house in no time. They really are "Quick as a Wink". Fred immediately went to look at my problem (not before putting on his booties so he wouldn't mess up the floors in my house). He told me that my drains were blocked. He was very friendly, easy to speak to and extremely polite and did the job in a very professional manner. After the work was complete Fred even cleaned up and left no mess at all. You would have never known that I just had work done. The work he did was made to look effortless. He didn't charge me for a few things either. I would recommend Fred and Mr. Rooter to my friends and neighbours. The price was very good, especially for being in Durham Region and will certainly use them again. There are lots of plumbers in Durham to choose from, but I would recommend Mr. Rooter for any plumbing problems you may have.

Great service. Convenient times to install. Everything was left very clean. Adrian was really good. I would call them again. I also used Mr Rooter to do a large job on a broken drain outside [ water leaking all over the newly renovated basment floor} The workers that came for this job were also very good, they worked very hard and now everything is working well.

    Plumbing backup in basement

The toilet from the unsuite on the second floor was backing up into the laundry sink in the basement. Ziggy cleared the clog in the pipe that goes to the sewer and also cleaned out the floor drain in the laundry room. He was very professional and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. I would not hesitate to call this company again if I had a plumbing problem.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you RA. We hope you do choose Mr. Rooter Plumbing if you have future plumbing and/or drain issues. It was our pleasure to have Ziggy go out and rectify your problem.

    Replace Toilet Flush Mechanism

Whenever you flushed one of our house's three 40 year old toilets, the household pipes vibrated very loudly - the noise sounded like a foghorn. We called Mr. Rooter and Rick came to investigate. Murphy's Law being what it is, when he arrived, we could not get the noise to happen. So we couldn't tell for sure which toilet was causing the problem. We tried and tried, but no luck. So Rick told us to wait and see if it happened again, and if it did, call Mr. Rooter back and ask for him. He lives in Scarborough and said he would be available to come and fix the problem on almost any weekday evening. Sure enough, the next week ... we had the foghorn back. Mr. Rooter had called us for a follow up, so we called back and requested Rick. He was here in less than 30 minutes and he fixed the proper toilet perfectly. Rick is friendly, courteous and he gave us "no pressure" to make a decision - we could have decided to replace the flushing mechanism in all 3 toilets, but he advised us to wait until we could be more certain about which toilet was causing the problem. We were very impressed by the prompt and courteous service, and also by the fact that we didn't get charged for the first visit. The pricing was all set out in a catalogue of services that he carried with him and it was easy to understand, so we knew what to expect and were given a firm quotation to fix the problem. Should one of the other 2 toilets also develop the same problem, we will not hesitate to call Mr. Rooter again and ask for Rick.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you Cathy for posting this review. We hope you do choose us again and we'll be happy to have Rick out to see you. A newer member of the Mr. Rooter team, Rick is quick outgoing and knowledgeable and we're proud to have him with us.

Sewer back up cannot locate the clean out valve

In the stress of having our sewer back up in our basement and not being able to locate the clean out - and possibly having to rip out the ceramic tiles in my basement - Brian from Mr. Rooter was our night in shining armour. When I saw the red mat at my door and his benevolent looking face reassuring me that he would be able to locate the valve on one tile - I wanted to cry with joy and hug him. What a wonderful pleasant, knowlegable kind spoken man. I cannot tell you how pleased my husband and I were with his service, reassurance and capability. He located the valve, located the blockage at the street line and the city was able to come in and dig (huge hole) to repair it. Thank you, thank you a million times Brian, our world became a better place because you came into it.

    Answer from pro:

You're more than welcome Mary. On behalf of Brian and Mr. Rooter Plumbing we are grateful to hear that we've made your world a better place and that you were thrilled with the service we provided.

    Mystery Leak in kitchen

We were at wits end trying to determine the source of a leak. Mr Rooter could not immediately find the source either but left things in a way that would help me determine it. It worked and 2 days later Robert was back to finish the job quickly, efficiently and expertly. Price seemed very reasonable considering the acrobatics required to reach the problem. I will certainly recommend Mr. Rooter to family and friends.

    Answer from pro:

We'd love if you recommended Mr. Rooter to friends and family. Sometimes it takes persistence and patience to get a job done right. We're proud of Robert's efficient and professional service.
