Whenever you flushed one of our house's three 40 year old toilets, the household pipes vibrated very loudly - the noise sounded like a foghorn. We called Mr. Rooter and Rick came to investigate. Murphy's Law being what it is, when he arrived, we could not get the noise to happen. So we couldn't tell for sure which toilet was causing the problem. We tried and tried, but no luck. So Rick told us to wait and see if it happened again, and if it did, call Mr. Rooter back and ask for him. He lives in Scarborough and said he would be available to come and fix the problem on almost any weekday evening.
Sure enough, the next week ... we had the foghorn back. Mr. Rooter had called us for a follow up, so we called back and requested Rick. He was here in less than 30 minutes and he fixed the proper toilet perfectly. Rick is friendly, courteous and he gave us "no pressure" to make a decision - we could have decided to replace the flushing mechanism in all 3 toilets, but he advised us to wait until we could be more certain about which toilet was causing the problem.
We were very impressed by the prompt and courteous service, and also by the fact that we didn't get charged for the first visit. The pricing was all set out in a catalogue of services that he carried with him and it was easy to understand, so we knew what to expect and were given a firm quotation to fix the problem.
Should one of the other 2 toilets also develop the same problem, we will not hesitate to call Mr. Rooter again and ask for Rick.
