    Kitchen sink leak repair

    I had a leaking sink, and the sink had been backing up as well. The backup seemed to disappear on its own, however Bruce tested it extensively to ensure it was truly no longer blocked and ensure the pipe was no longer leaking. Very friendly and professional.

    clogged drains

    Very quick to arrive. Helpful and positive he could fix the problem. Glad to see that he could estimate the job before he started. Nobody likes to deal with plumbing issues but it was nice to have pleasant and friendly service.

    Waste pipe clogged behind the wall

    Call Mr. Rooter to unclog the waste line of the urinal and plumbing specialist Rick came over to explain the cause, solution and the cost before he worked hard to fix my problem. He also provided the maintenance plan with reference to WHMIS. Good man and worth the money!

    DIY plumbing gone wrong but Bruce rescued me!

    I over estimated my DIY skills and ended up shearing off and jamming my brass cartridge in the bathroom pipe. I have only 1 bathroom and needed this fixed! Bruce showed up, quickly assessed my situation, did NOT DIY shame me for trying to fix it myself and explained what needed to be done. In no time, he cut the pipe to access the stuck mangled metal I left him and fixed my mess. He was courteous and professional. I have his info in my phone contacts now and will not hesitate to call him should I have anymore plumbing that needs to be done.

    KITCHEN

    MARCO SHOWED UP TO DO A KITCHEN FAUCET TODAY. MURPHY'S LAW, THERE WAS A GLITCH ATTRIBUTABLE ULTIMATELY TO SOME RESIDE EMINATING FROM THE PIPES. THE PATIENCE AND PERSEVERENCE DISPLAYED BY MARCO WAS TRULY APPRECIATED AND THE FACT THAT HE GOT IT DONE WITHOUT EVER SHOWING A SCINTILLA OF FRUSTRATION WAS TRULY APPRECIATED. GREAT JOB. GREAT GUY.

    Clogged Kitchen Sink

    Very helpful technician! Gave us a couple different options for getting our sink unclogged and we ended up going with having him snake our drain. That ended up working out really well because he found a massive clog that neither my roommate or I would have any idea what to do with. Gad we made the right call.

    Bathroom taps n shower replacement

    We called mr.rooter and they sent Rick within 2 hours. He gave us an in-depth estimate and alternative advice. Rick was amazing! He was very courteous, respectful and quite funny! His work was top notch. We highly recommend not only mr rooter but Rick especially!

    Unclog main sewer line

    Requested a service call to unclog our main sewer line, have had a similar service call a couple of months back. Travis attended the call again and arrived about an hour or so later. While both of us acknowledged the issue is probably due to old clay sewer line we have in the house and a complete replacement was the ultimate solution (which he quoted to be around $9600). Travis cleared the blockage using a seesnake, but we both could still see baby wipes in the camera and he indicated that was the best he could do. This took him less than 5 mins. Obviously, his main objective was to "leave the problem as it is", so we will have no choice but to go with the expensive complete replacement. Not surprisingly, the sewer clogged up again the next day, and this time we called someone else to take a look. He used a 3 inch head and worked on it for about 30 mins, the drain was completely cleared (wipes and minor root growth were completely gone). The camera revealed the old clay pipe were completely fine with no notable damage. Instead of clearing the debris inside the sewer line, Mr Rooter simply did the absolutely minimum required, with the obvious reason of trying to get us to go with the extremely expensive repair option. Not to be trusted and watch out.

    Hello Private User, When our technicians respond to sewer back-ups or blocked sewer calls, it is standard protocol that we use a camera to determine why the sewer is blocked. There are often times when our cameras reveal structural problems with old piping (cracks, shifting, tree root penetration) that may result in our technician making a judgement call and deciding not to run an electric drain machine (drain snake) through the pipe. This was the decision our technician made at your home on 2 separate occasions in the past after finding root penetration in your very old clay tile sewer. By doing this we are not trying to “leave the problem as it is” as you mention in your review, instead we are trying to avoid potentially making the problem worse by possibly further damaging the pipe with an electric snake. Most homeowners that experience sewage backing up in their homes want to know how to fix the problem permanently and prevent it from reoccurring. This is why we always provide an estimate for whatever is necessary to avoid another sewage back up. According to your review it seems that an electric snake was successful in removing the debris that became caught on the roots in your drain. This is completely possible but we do respect the decision made by our experienced technician. Every review we receive is appreciated but we disagree with you when you state we are “not to be trusted” as we strive to treat our customers as we would like to be treated. We want to see all sewer problems fixed permanently but at the same time are happy to hear that you had success this time in temporarily clearing another blockage in your sewer.

    Plumbing

    I called Mr. Rooter for one problem, and at the last minute I asked my spouse to have the plumber check on another problem while there. Rick came first thing - for which I am grateful, and told my partner what required more immediate attention, and what needed to be done and what could wait a little bit. Rick provided a lot of welcome advice and tips, and was thorough about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He was polite, courteous and efficient. He tidied up after the work was completed (even though I told him not to worry about it). I will definitely be calling in the near future to complete other projects that need attention. One final notable mention - I thought the project was going to cost me more than it actually did (by $200.00), thanks to the recommendations by Rick.

    Removing the clogs that affected slow draining shower drains

    Greg was professional and efficient, completing the required work within a short time of arriving. All seems to be running smoothly now. He even checked a non-related concern and advised on simple home care maintenance.
