    Broken shower cartridge and garden hose faucet

    I accidentally broke off the shower handle, not a big deal right? Well it also split the cartridge shaft which happened to be American Standard (it's an absolute nightmare to find the right parts for). If anyone is married they'll know how sacred showers are for the wife and I wasn't about to waste any additional time figuring things out so I called Mr. Rooter at noon and they had my man Ron Jackson within an hour. I have no idea what the average wait time is but I really didn't care as I just wanted it fixed. Ron was very friendly and knowledgeable, thankfully he had a compatible part in stock otherwise this review may have been more of an obituary. While he was here I also got him to fix a snapped garden hose faucet. This fine gentlemen was highly efficient. Prices seem OK if you're just looking at parts and labour. But if you include the exceptional speedy service it was well worth it. Hats off to Mr. Rooter and Mr. Jackson.

    Drains Opening

    I called Mr. Rooter Pumping for an emergency opening of drain blockage. I have Robert Cassels, the technician, showed up 10 minutes before the appointment time, did the snake TV and cabling, all in 2 hours. Robert accomplished his job in a great professional manner, helped me with a quick and complementary inspection of the whole house plumbing system, and left me with quotes for future improvement. I was so happy and satisfied with service provided by Mr. Rooter and Rob the plumber. Thanks Rob!

    Bathroom repair

    Our toilets weren't flushing properly for the last few months and were always running. We asked our cousins if they would recommend anyone and they said Mr.Rooters. When our shower broke too, we had no choice but to call in. The serviceman (Bruce) was very accommodating and tried his best to make us feel comfortable with the repairs being made. He finished quickly and efficiently. Great Sertvice!

    Expert service

    Our technician arrived with one hour of calling and provided excellent, professional and trustworthy service. Our quote was accurate and I was provide with the right amount of information to understand the problem, and what was being done to fix it. I am very happy with this service and will call again if I ever have another emergency in my home.

    Kitchen faucet leakage

    I have never used Mr. Rooter. When I called for service and asked for a specific time in the morning, the dispatcher had no problem accommodating me. Rick Phillips showed up at my door and was very friendly. Rick was very knowledgable and explained what needed to be done. He replaced the whole faucet and cleaned up before he started and once he completed the job. He also took the old faucet and was going to recycle it for me which was very much appreciated. I'm very happy with my new faucet and would call Mr. Rooter and Rick again for any future plumbing jobs.

    Mr Rooter saved the day

    We have used Mr. Rooter for years and for various plumbing issues. We have always been happy with the service, but yesterday the plumber, Ron Jackson, went above and beyond and saved the day. My husband, two young kids and I had not had water service for over 27 hours due to the leaking main water valve. We had to rely on the City to come out and turn off the water supply from the outside of the house. They finally did, but not entirely making it difficult for the plumber to weld the pipe. We didn't get any cooperation from City when we and Ron requested that the workers who had just left come back to tighten the valve a bit more. Ron could have easily left matters there and left us without water for another two to three days until the City came back. He was sympathetic to our situation and used every plumber's trick he knew to try and stop the dripping long enough to weld the pipes together. He worked himself to the limit trying different techniques and he managed to get the job done. He was also so polite and respectful. His service was outstanding and we are truly grateful to him.

    New Sink and New Valves

    kitchen faucet replacement

    Bruce assessed my kitchen faucet and then offered to replace with a new one - the work was faster than expected and good guarantees were offered on the work - I have used Mr. Rooter before and will likely continue to use them again

    Main Line Sewer Line Clog

    I called to have the main line snaked for debris and was told (after a $250 camera inspection) that all old houses in Toronto have a main line trap which a camera or snake can not negotiate. I was told that the only option I have is to remove the main trap outside of the house at a cost of nearly 4K and that only after they complete that work will they be able to inspect the line and clear it at additional cost. Not to mention that they would be digging and removing 2K worth of raised flower beds I installed last fall and I'd be responsible to replace them. The employee marked an X as to where to excavate in front of a "breather pipe" sticking out of the ground which indicated where the main trap is located. I was told over and over that this is my ONLY option. Desperate, I called the City Of Toronto and within 4 hours, they were on site and with an oversized plunger, stuffed it down the "Breather pipe" that Mr. Rooter spray painted an X beside and cleared the line free of charge. The city employee let me know that they will come as often as needed to preform the courtesy service. Beware of wolves in sheep clothing

    We are sorry to hear about the recent sewer back up at your home, it can be a terribly messy experience. Our protocol in these situations is to use a camera in an attempt to find the cause of the back up. When we discover that an older system still contains a building trap (which is often the cause of blockages and sewer back-ups) we will recommend that the trap be removed. When we discover that a building trap may be causing a blockage, we will attempt to use a plunging rod which is a tool that is used to plunge a building trap, in many cases relieving the blockage. In our experience, plunging a trap can be a temporary solution meaning the blockage can re-occur resulting in another potential sewer back-up inside the home. This may be why the city worker said they will return to perform the plunging service again when needed. We are curious as to why your review states that our employee did not attempt to relieve the blockage using a plunging rod. Unfortunately, without knowing the address that this took place, we are unable to look further into this situation. We would greatly appreciate you contacting our office to discuss this further.     Home Diagnostic Inspection

    I just bought a new home and wanted to get a thorough plumbing inspection. I emailed the company on Sunday night and received a call within 20 minutes. I didn't have my phone on me but Amanda left a message and I called back the next day. It's incredible how fast they were in getting back to me on Sunday. I booked the diagnostic and was told that they would arrive between 12-3 on Saturday. At about 12:45 Daniel Thomas arrived. He was professional, knowledgeable and personable. He performed the diagnostic and answered all of my questions. He did exactly what I wanted and I will heed his advice. Great experience with Mr Rooter and will give them a call when ready to fix the issues brought up in the report.
