    Plumbing frozen drains

    We discovered the pipes to our washing machine were frozen Sunday morning of a long weekend. Job was completed that afternoon.

    Fast and reliable came and did the job very quickly. Friendly and professional. Upfront about the cost so no surprises.

    Timely service and repair!

    Had an issue with laundry tub. The laundry tub was whistling and we saw the faucet hot water was leaking at a high pressure into the primer back into the drain. No way to turn off as the internal mechanism was likely faulty. Chris came and put us at ease and in couple hours had the faucet replaced and he also added shut off valves. He was very friendly and also answered all our questions. Would highly recommend these guys very professional. Thanks you saved our long weekend!

    Clogged Sink

    I had a clogged sink that I couldn't fix on my own. I realized Id have to go all weekend without using my sink and desperately called many plumbers and Mr Rooter was the only one that said they can send a plumber right away. Being a long weekend many plumbers were either away or busy. Chris came within the hour and saved the day! I had dinner plans I didn't think I would make waiting for a plumber and was so worried Id have no sink or dishwasher for 4 days but he was able to fix it for me in 20 minutes! Nice guy too. Been a plumber most his life and I trusted him completely. Hurt to pay the price though, in my opinion the cost was too much for the job but I was willing to pay for the speed. I'd call him again if I need :) Thanks for saving my weekend Chris!

    Mr Rooter - Whitby/Oshawa

    Plumber came out and charged atrocious amounts to remove and replace the toilet($300). Then he proceeded with his Scoping and snaking($200) of my drain; determining I had a collapsed pipe. He did offer to take the $563 off of the $4000 repair job. He did suggest I get the town out to take a look, which I did, no damage on the town side(I personally watched the entire scope out to the sewer main twice). I did not get the warm and fuzzies from Mr. Rooter and $4000 is a lot of money so I contacted a recommended honest plumber. He scoped out all my drains in the house and again out to the sewer main. No damage to the drains, I had one piece of pipe that had settled 1/2 so there was a small lip but nothing to be concerned about(it would not present as my drains backing up as they were). Another plumbing company out of Oshawa were honest, competent, and thorough. They were the company that scoped the drain and determined the issue was with my low flow toilet in the basement. After discussing the issue with them I replaced the internals of my toilet making it a high velocity regular flow toilet(less than $100). To their credit Mr. Rooter did rebate me the cost of their inspection after contacting their service manager a couple of times. The question is "do you want the job done right the first time for a fair price?" If so do not call Mr. Rooter.

We do feel it necessary to clarify that the blockage that occurred in your drain was in fact located at the shifted or settled area of pipe that you describe in your review, it was not related to the flushing capability of your toilet. When our plumber cleared the drain and saw that the shift had caused the blockage, he provided you with a permanent solution which was to replace that section of pipe. We would like to mention to you again that by not replacing that section of pipe you run the risk of the blockage reoccurring.

    Fantastic Service In A Timely Manner

    When large tree roots broke apart the old clay piping and flooded our basement Travis Magee was out to the house within the hour. He coordinated a six day/two part excavation job to correct the deficiencies and made this stressful process as smooth as possible. Eugene, Igor and others did a fantastic job with the excavation, keeping the property (inside & out) immaculate. Mr Rooter and its employees were like having family in your home, helping to restore problems to 100% working condition in as little time as possible and with the utmost professionalism & expertise. Fantastic job & thank you!

    Undercounter sink /drain repair

    My kitchen sink drain was corroded and came apart from the bottom of the sink. The sink drain needed replacing along with the dishwasher inlet drain and the sink strainers and stoppers. Ron Jackson from Mr. Rooter came to my rescue and he had the job done in less than 2 hours. I have a new drain up to code standard, new sink strainers and new sink drain stoppers he even shined up my sink for me (it sparkled!!)the job was amazing!!! I would recommend him to anyone! He is very professional courteous and friendly!!!

    Always Professional - And Work is Clean

    We always call Mr. Rooter for plumbing work. First, they call back in a timely fashion. Second, bought a membership long ago for a different house, and the discount followed us. Most recently they replaced a floor drain and installed a backwater valve in the basement. Work was done within 72 hours of the initial assessment. They showed up early, kept the area spotless, and finished the work in less than a day.

    Our kitchen sink was sinking!

    Our undermount kitchen sink was coming unsealed from granite countertop and was falling. We called Mr Rooter and who had a plumber, Rick Phillips to the house within an hour. Rick was very kind, professional and did a great job. He took the time to explain the problem and the options. He had lots of tips to help prevent problems in the future. We were very pleased with the service and we will definitely ask for Rick next time we need a plumber. The only negative was that the job cost a little more than we expected, but we firmly believe in paying for good service.

    Mixed Valve Replacement

    I called Mr. Rooter to have them change the mixing valve on our hot water tank, after having a different company come to the house only to inform us that they didn't have the part needed to fix the problem. The plumber who attended our house was very pleasant and professional. He had the part and was able to fix the problem at a cost of over $200 less than what we had been quoted by the previous company. Thanks again for your prompt and professional service.
