    Our second experience with Mr. Rooter

    Last September when Mr. Rooter installed a backwater valve for us they noted a root intrusion problem farther down the line. We weren't prepared to do the repair at the time as it involved having to have our neighbor's driveway partially dug up, so it was agreed that we'd try and hold out until spring. A few days ago the root intrusion caused a sewage backup in our basement and left us no choice. Once again, Mr. Rooter impressed us by immediately dispatching Phil to come on site, quickly assessing the situation, and scheduling the repair to be done the next day. Not only did they once again impress me with their speed but they went the extra mile to connect the new repair with the backwater valve (a lot of additional work they did for free) installed in September to insure we would not incur the added cost of having to put a liner in between the new repair and the backwater valve. And once again, you can barely tell there was ever a hole dug in our yard. I cannot recommend this company enough, after two experiences with them we wouldn't consider using anyone else. And an extra special thanks to Phil for being so friendly and thoughtful and to the best dig crew I've ever seen. Kudos Mr. Rooter!

    Rick - two thumbs up

    Rick promptly arrived at 12:00am when we found a leak in the basement. He was kind, knowledgable, and professional. He helped diagnose the problem and start the drying process. Thanks.

    Bl0cked Drain

    Called in Mr. Rooter for a recurring blocked drain problem. Their Supervisor, Robert Plantic, arrived exactly on time the following day and used his pipe camera to show me the extent of the problem. The damage to the old clay and cast-iron pipe was extensive and both needed to be replaced. He provided a detailed estimate. To cut a long story short, the level of service and courtesy was way above our expectations. Five stars aren't sufficient. After two days of hard work the crew left. Save for a few areas of still-wet concrete patches in the basement floor, you would not know they'd been there! They cleaned things they didn't even need to clean! To anyone who believes that old-fashioned hard work, courtesy and consideration are things of the past, call Mr. Rooter next time you need a plumber. You'll be as amazed as we were. No one likes to spend this kind of money but we feel that we received full value for every dollar.

    Happy customer since 2010

    Back when I owned my first condo in 2010, I called Mr. Rooter repair a leaking toilet. The workmanship and professionalism is next to none. One of the best decisions I've made was to sign up for their Advantage Program which gives you priority scheduling and pricing. Now, in my new home, I've used Mr. Rooter to replace, yet another, leaking toilet. Most recently, my tap in the backyard was leaking and I had someone from Mr. Rooter come check it out. They diagnosed the problem, which was much bigger than I imagine. We decided to save the work required for another day but the plumber, Rick, was amazing. He did a walk-through of the entire home and gave pointers for things to look out for. It was like a free apprenticeship session! The next day, I received a call from Mr. Rooter to let me know that the trip charge for Rick's visit would be refunded because I was an Advantage member. I honestly wouldn't have cared either way but I thought it was really awesome that Mr. Rooter caught this. What I like the most is that the fee structures are all outlined so there's no haggling involved. My last toilet that was replaced, I ended up getting a free upgrade to higher end toilet because the one I selected was not in stock. Just as a sidebar to that, I've gone with Toto brand toilets through Mr. Rooter and have not been disappointed yet! Needless to say that Mr. Rooter are my plumbers for life and have not let me down in 6 years.

    Residential Plumbing Services

    Did a great job, very friendly, knowledgable. Waaaay over priced, but we were in a jam. Save for Emergency services, when you need someone fast and reliable.

    Replaced shower fixture

    I needed a shower fixture replaced including the internal mechanism which required dry wall being cut but not repaired. The plumber was very punctual and did great work. The problem was that they charged over $700. I bought the fixture myself. Overall I think they provide great service and do good work but they are very expensive. In fact, I required exactly the same work done on another shower. I was recommended a plumber by the place I bought the fixture and he charged me $170. So there was about a $500 difference. Repairs were done within days of each other and both are still working perfectly. In future, I would hire Mr. Rooter if I needed major work done but not for small jobs as the overhead is just too high.

    Bathroom - leaking external pipe (toilet)

    Brian and his colleague came in and immediately assessed the problem and gave us the cost. They were experienced, efficient, and professional. We're very pleased with the service we received.

    Water Heater Replacement

    My old water heater was leaking so i called Mr. Rooter and we scheduled a time for the install. I had a work event make me have to reschedule the install and they accommodated right away. Brandon Marcotte came out and was very professional. He explained everything they were doing very thoroughly. After the install he went over everything that was completed. He even helped me with a weird faucet issue after testing all the faucets. I am very happy with the work done. I will definitely use Mr. Rooter again and recommend them.

    Replaced two toilets

    My wife and I have used Mr. Rooter for plumbing services in the past and were very satisfied with their professionalism and the work that they had done for us. When two toilets recently needed to be replaced in our home, they were as usual very quick to respond and the work was done to our satisfaction within a few hours. We will not hesitate to contact them again should other plumbing issues arise in our home.
