Sewer pump emergency help !
9am Mothers Day (Sunday) our sewer starts backing up. Called MrRooter and Frank was at our house by 11am. I was braced for the worse but he diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed the float mechanism. It was tough unpleasant work but Frank did it all with good humor and for a very reasonable cost. These guys continue to be my go-to plumbing team.

Backwater valve and main line replaced (Sewage Backup)
The inspection: Grant Reuston originally gave us a quote in July 2014 and kindly came by to inspect our sewage backup problem on his day off to update the quote. He snaked our drain and showed us where all of the problems were, drew up a fair quote, and never pressured us. His friendly, professional, and down-to-earth nature was reassuring in making such a big decision (replacing our entire main line and installing a backwater valve). With two women in a house who are not familiar with plumbing, it’s wonderful to have someone explain issues in layman’s terms, and not feel taken advantage of. The work was done by Eugene, Dennis, and their team the NEXT DAY, and they were FANTASTIC: - They arrived early (but waited outside) - They were incredibly neat; the work site was surrounded in plastic curtains and dropsheets from floor to ceiling - They patiently answered all questions and were onsite for the City Inspection - They went OVER AND ABOVE THEIR WORK by avoiding destruction where possible, and fixing issues as they saw them like burying our a/c condensation tube and adding a second drain We will choose Mr. Rooter again because: - Pricing is consistent and reasonable - This is our second time and every person we’ve dealt with has been professional, kind, and very tidy in their work - They are very responsive in contacting us regarding any changes and follow-up right away - When they see something wrong, they tell you and they fix it Finally, a big thank you to Grant for even assisting my father in cutting down a tree while he was onsite- that was really over and above!

Plumbing (washing machine)
Robert Plantic came to assess the issue with my boyfriends Washing Machine. He immediately let me know what the issue was and then called my boyfriend directly to discuss the issue with him. He was friendly and explained the issues in a way that was easy for me to understand. Once he started on the issue, he completed replacing the hoses in a time efficient manner. He cleaned up any of the water that was spilled, and even showed me what the issue was with the old hoses. He left the hoses here for my boyfriend to see when he gets home from work. Overall, Robert was a great ambassador for Mr. Rooter Plumbing and I would highly recommend him to anyone who has plumbing issues in the future.

Low flow bathroom
Robert arrived on time and was extremely courteous, working diligently and explaining all the work he was undertaking in a clear and concise manner. While Robert was truly professional and provided expert service, i did feel the pricing was astronomical. close to $500 to replace a faucet. The part was $150 so labour was close to $300 for less than 30 mins work.

Blocked sink
BEWARE! My experience with Mr. Rooter felt like a total shakedown. Before calling the main number I knew exactly what service I needed. I need my kitchen drain snaked plain and simple. When I called the main number I asked them how much it would cost to snake the drain. She told me that she did not know the cost but that the person in my area would call me before coming and he would tell me the cost. Before I knew it and without a phone call the plumber arrived. I must say that the plumber was very nice and performed his work professionally. However, I never received the quote that I asked for and I was told that I had to pay a minimum $67 charge just for him coming to my house if I did not go ahead with the work. I was then told that to snake my drain would cost $290. $290 are you kidding me! And as if the price for the service wasn't insane enough I had to pay a $15 fuel charge on top of that. What really offended me is that this was a set price the woman on the phone should have known exactly how much this would cost. He opened up his Ipad and showed me the set price for the service. Well at this point I was stuck because I did not want to pay the guy $67 for doing nothing and I needed the work done. I will never use this company again and I would strongly discourage anyone from using them. $350 (fuel charge and taxes included) for maybe 30 minutes of work is ridiculous and offensive.

Bathroom Plumbing and New Faucet
Robert was very helpful. Our bathroom sinks didn't have any hot water. Robert came in, immediately knew what was wrong and set to work to fix the problem. He did need to come back and install a new faucet and he was quick and it now works great. Thanks!

bathtub water supply repair
Grant Reuston is our man when we need plumbing work done. He located a difficult-to-find part and replaced a very old bathtub cartridge with professionalism and good humour. He advised us on the steps in the process at the beginning and left us feeling confident in his knowledge and skill. He arrived on time after a phone call told us he was on his way. Grant did a great job. We highly recommend him.

Clogged drain and faucet replacement
Waqas A from Mr Rooter came during scheduled time. I was called when he was no his way. He did an excellent job. Was very polite, tidy, and thorough in fixing the issue; providing advice on how to prevent, and replaced a faucet. Great service.

Toilet and washroom
Robert Plantic from Mr. Rooter came to see us within one hour of contacting the head office. Robert was very professional and knew his stuff he told me about the work that needed to be done and we discussed the best way to do it efficiently and cost effectively. He come through and completed the tasks with flying colors! We are very happy with the repairs and I would recommend Robert Plantic and Mr. Rooter Toronto anytime they have never let me down we use them every time this kind of service is needed ! Sewage pipe & backwater valve
Robert Plantic, a plumber for Mr. Rooter, checked our sewage pipes and found that they were old clay pipes that were separating & cracking. He recommended replacing them with new plastic pipes and a backwater valve. Ihor's crew arrived the very next day & finished the work in two days. Everyone was polite, on time and hard- working. The job site was left very tidy. I would highly recommend Mr Rooter.
