My washing machine decided it didn’t want to work and during the COVID lockdown I didn’t know what I was going to do about getting it looked at. I called Joe, and Collin came to see it the next day and he fixed it! He wore a face mask and gloves, and was efficient and professional. It was quite a relief to have the machine running again, and for a reasonable fee.

I can’t thank Joe enough for referring colleague Colin and for their great service provided on such short notice. Our refridgerator wasn’t working properly and with their vast experience and ability to trouble shoot over the phone, they solved the problem in a quick, pleasant and professional manner. Also, we have a senior at home and they took great care to maintain a safe environment during these tough times. Very fair priced for the amount of work done. Joe is always there to help and provide the right person for the job. Can’t say enough great things and would recommend Joe for any repair needed to be done. THANK YOU!!

Clean, fair priced, decent and diligent work from an honest and knowledgeable contractor. Joe is well planned, meticulous and prepared. Joe made sure that he understood the problem before arrival, gave multiple quotes for different possible outcomes and provided instructions for his and our safety during COVID-19 lock down. Upon arrival, he identified the root cause of the problem quickly and fixed the problem explaining each step, ensuring that only the necessary repair was done, nothing more, nothing less. He stayed as long as necessary to ensure that the problem was solved for good and gave his assurances that he will stand behind his work if although unlikely, the problem comes back. Very satisfied. Our community needs more people like Joe, especially during these hard times.

I called Joe because my 22 year old washing machine was making loud noises on the spin cycle. I asked him to come Monday afternoon or Tuesday. He was very accomodating. He fixed my machine. He had the part, I didn't have to pay him for an extra trip to go out and get it. He even took the time to fix a burner on my old stove that wasn't working. As always, great service. Thanks Joe!

I called Joe at approximately 11AM, by 12:30PM he was at our house inspecting the unit. He took time to ensure the unit was in working order before he left. Respectful and professional. I'd call him again and recommend him to family.

Had a difficult to diagnose problem with my new oven (just over warranty age) . I've used Joe before so I knew who to call. Joe took lots of time to discuss the problem over the phone and to try to diagnose the problem. He then came prepared with what he would need to fix the oven and managed to troubleshoot various obstacles during the repair. He's honest as the day is long and knows his stuff.

The igniter in our gas oven and a switch in our clothes washer needed to be replaced. Joe arrived promptly, had the parts in his truck and made the repairs on the spot. If you have ANY home appliance that needs repair I recommend the excellent Joe, The Appliance Guy. He has been in this business since 1979. He is capable, honest, personable and very reliable!

We hired Joe about 2 years ago for a dishwasher door repair and he was great so we hired him again this week when our dishwasher broke down. He came over the next day and told us the circuit board was broken. Most repair people would have told us to get a new board to the tune of about $250 and then pay to have it installed. Joe was ingenious. He was able to transfer and install one of the buttons we didn’t use to the broken start button and voila, all fixed! While he was here we asked about a broken part in our fridge. Joe ordered the part needed and picked it up the next day. It was after that when I called him and told him we also had a broken veggie bin in the fridge. Joe went back to the supplier in bad driving weather and got that part as well. He returned to our house the next day and replaced the broken part and easily installed the bin. He also took it upon himself to remove the vent piece on the bottom of the fridge that was full of dust and replace it after the bottom of the fridge was vacuumed clean. No charge. He also did not charge for a second service call. Considering all the driving he did getting parts twice for our fridge, coming to our house twice and his time spent repairing both the fridge and our dishwasher, his price was more than fair. We were very happy with Joe 2 years ago and were just as happy this time around. He is so personable, honest and incredibly knowledgeable. He easily could have told us to replace the whole top circuit board on our dishwasher but he fixed it himself instead. He even gave us suggestions on how to rid our washing machine of that “musty” smell they all get after awhile and how to clean our dishwasher. He’s been in the business for 37 years, knows his stuff and is more than willing to share his knowledge and save his customers money. My husband and I are so happy we hired Joe again. Quick service, fair charges, totally reputable and nice as can be. What more could anyone ask for? He’s our guy! Thank you again Joe for completing 2 jobs at our home in less than a week! You’re the best and we would highly recommend you to anyone!

It took 3 visits to fix 3 separate problems with our fridge (bad freezer fan, dirty condenser, bad compressor relay) but Joe only charged labour for 2 because that's just the kind of guy he is. He carries a lot of parts with him so he had the ones he needed with him when he diagnosed the problem. I will definitely use him again for our next appliance repair.
