    Dryer repair

    I called Joe in the morning and he repaired my dryer same day. He arrived on time and replaced the blower. I would highly recommend Joe because he is reliable and honest.

    Fridge repair

    Based on so many excellent reviews, we contacted Joe and in one phone call he had analyzed the problem with our fridge. We booked an appointment for the following day and he replaced the defective part quickly and we now hope to have a few more good years use of our appliance. Joe is a true gentleman and a consummate professional, and we certainly appreciated his very timely response to resolve our problem. We will definitely remember him for the future and refer him to friends and family.

    dishwasher repair

    Joe came on time and fixed the problem on a newish dishwasher without new parts. He went out of his way to service the problem much faster than I expected. I think he would have come the same day if I had been at home. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and effective.

    Keeping a very old fridge alive

    By all rights, a 28 year old refrigerator freezer should be replaced, but with a kitchen renovation due next year, I wanted to keep ours running until then. A few days ago, the refrigerator compartment starting warming to about 10-12C, no matter how we set the thermostat. I called Joe to have a look at it. Not many repair people ever worked with 1980s refrigerator technology, which is very different from today's circuit-board driven controls. Joe was able to troubleshoot the problem, develop a working theory, apply it - the source of the trouble wasn't glaringly obvious - and fix the problems. Using a hand steam generator, he also fixed an ice-clogged condensate line that another repair person hadn't wanted to deal with a couple of years ago. The cost was a service call - no new parts were required. Everything is working very well now, though I have told my wife that we're not letting the kitchen reno slip another year. Even with Joe's help, we're asking for trouble if we assume this fridge has another few lives.

    Dryer Repair

    Joe is amazing at what he does and seems to have a real passion for his line of work. Not only did he phone promptly respond to my inquiry , he was on time for the service call. My old Maytag Dryer was making loud noises and he knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it in 30 minutes. He is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are fair and reasonable for his level of expertise and service.

    Fridge Repair

    Just had Joe come over and repair my fridge and save me from having to buy a new one. The savings speak for themselves. If you are looking for a good appliance repair guy there is no one who has his experience and quality service.

    Dryer repair

    I was using my dryer one day and noticed that it was making a significant vibration noise. It still worked but the noise was definitely not encouraging to hear. I quickly went on Homestars and made some calls. Joe was the first one to get back to me and he asked me a series of questions to narrow down the possible issues. He also managed to squeeze me in between appointments so I could get it resolved asap. After he arrived, he carefully took the machine apart and identified the likely culprits. He replaced a drum roller and thoroughly cleaned the fin area which was caked with lint as it had not been cleaned since the late 90s. After reassembling the machine and testing it, the noise was eliminated and all worked as expected. Needless to say, I am very pleased with Joe's professionalism and his candidness in discussing the possible issues. I will not hesitate to call him for any other appliance repairs I have. PS: PLEASE note that Joe is THE APPLIANCE GUY --> Not to be confused with THE APPLIANCE REPAIR GUYS....the two companies are not even comparable (see the other company's Homestars Reviews)

    Refrigerator not sealing properly - Joe fixed it perfectly!

    My refrigerator door wasn't sealing properly. Sent Joe a message late on Thu night. Fri morning he was already in my house. Joe did a fantastic job. He got it fixed without the need of purchasing material. He explained to me what the issue was very clearly. Joe is a great professional and for sure I will call him again next time I have an issue with any of my appliances.

    Joe Came Through Again!

    Been using Joe for years.... washer, dryer, dishwasher, and now my electric oven. Once again Joe answered my phone message promptly and scheduled my appointment with 24 hours. He is not only technically skilled, he is a nice guy and always gives good advice. In a world where too many people in the service industry don't return calls, show up late or not at all, and do poor work, Joe is a beacon of professionalism. I have him on speed dial!

    Kitchenaid wall oven

    Joe came the same day I called him about my oven. Although he was not familiar with this particular model, he was able to fix it quite quickly by replacing a thermal fuse. He ensured that the oven was working well before he left.
