WOW! Joe is wonderful. Capped our gas line to the dryer. He cut some dry wall to find the shut off. When he investigated a little, Joe also found a dead squirrel in the machine. He pulled it out and disposed of it. I don't think that is in the job description. What more can you ask for???

Joe repaired the cracked glass window of my oven. I was very impressed. He was professional, courteous, reliable, and more importantly, highly skilled. I would highly recommend him and would, without hesitation, use him again.

In January of this year, I had to manually defrost the freezer of my Whirlpool fridge. Then again in early May. When the freezer frosted over again 3 weeks later (and the fridge was lukewarm), I decided to see if it could be repaired. I found Joe's name here, on Homestars. I phoned at 9am, got a call-back within an hour to organize a time. Joe was at my condo at about 1:30pm. Fridge fixed within an hour - a part had to be replaced. Very efficient, very friendly, very helpful. Highly recommended!

Joe does not work on Saturdays but went out of his way to call Peter from Antro Appliance Service so I could have my dryer fixed on a weekend. I would like to thank him for going above and beyond to make sure my dryer got repaired when we were home. Peter at Antro did a great job fixing the dryer as I am sure Joe would have as well.

Our stove had an oven overheating problem for some time. When the official technician came last year to fix some unrelated Frigidaire recall problems, he didn't even suggest what should have been done in my specific case. I did some 'homework' on Homestars and found Joe,the appliance guy. He was very knowledgable and his plan of repair worked (he replaced temperature sensor). It was fast and efficient - he had the required parts - no need to wait for order delivery. Highly recommend Joe! He is the person who cares about his job and can do it really well!

Our fridge broke down after 10 years of service. We can't afford to buy a new fridge and since the warranty has expired, repairing it by the "authorized dealer" woud cost a fortune. So we went on the HomeStars website in search of a mechanic. The Appliance Guy came with many rave reviews, so we gave it a shot. We couldn't be happier with their service. They were able to come to our home on the same day and the serviceman was very professional. He changed a small part. Total we paid $170. We highly recommend The Appliance Guy for repairs on any type of home appliances.

Joe was extremely personable and professional. He was prompt to call back and courteous enough to call when he was running 20 minutes late well in advance. He was also super knowledgeable and had all the parts he needed in his truck. He was in and out in no time. I had other repair men out to fix the same stove before and he was by far the best and the only one to fix it for good.

When our 21 year old Amana side by side refrigerator/freezer stopped working, I began to panic as everything in the freezer was defrosting. The back panel and floor was covered with ice but the interior was rapidly getting warmer. I called Joe and he asked a few pertinent questions, made some suggestions and said he thought that would get us through the weekend. When I had to call back Friday morning to report the fridge still wasn't working, Joe reorganized his morning and immediately drove over to take a look. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was pleasant and professional, and he knew just what was wrong. And he had the part to fix a 21 year old machine! My husband and I were amazed. We had an emergency with our fridge and needed someone to service it right away, so we called Joe 'The Appliance Guy" early in the morning and left a message. He returned our call within 15min of us leaving a voicemail and scheduled us in for noon (we were his 4th appointment that morning). He arrived on time, had the necessary replacement parts on hand and was finished with the repair in under 30mins. He was polite and professional - we HIGHLY recommend

If I could give 6 stars I gladly would. Joseph is a true Macgyver when it comes to repair. Both dishwasher and ice maker work like new. I also learned a thing or two about the appliances. Highly recommended!
