    Great service from the Sales team

    The sales team was great. Was always on top of things with me and was always available when i had questions. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family

    Purchase of a Spec Home (Cochrane)

    In December of 2018 I began a search for my new home in a very tight time frame. I had sold my previous home and wanted to move before Christmas. I had 2 places I was strongly considering in Cochrane. One was a Trico home the other was a Jayman. Ultimately I chose the Trico Spec house as my new home. I chose it for its kitchen design, natural layout for entertaining, beautiful fire place and mountain view. The finishes looked higher end and I loved the color scheme. The last selling factor was the Trico team was easier to deal with, accommodating and friendly (the small things really do go along way)

    Happy with Trico

    We are delighted with our Trico Home! Every Trico employee we encountered was polite, helpful, knowledgeable and attended to our requests/questions in a timely manner. We think our home is beautiful, perfect for us. Thank you Trico!

    Great Looking homes but fought the whole Time

    Over the span of our buying stage we got different prices and information on inclusions and deals because the staff were incompetent, misinformed and are not people with integrity. We had dozens of conversations and emails where certain inclusions were brought up but disregarded when it time for the pen to hit From the office assistant, to the design centre and as high up as their financial manager at the time, once the paperwork emerged at the time of signing and Trico heavily depends on the “industry standard expected oops” to make up for all misquotes Unless it’s in a formal context (which means a typed out contract) they have no obligation or follow through from their employees to hold true to anything they say. If I could go back in time, I’d come in with a camera and have every conversation video taped. Fast foreword two months since taking possession and I’m happy with the home except for the shared party wall. The wall doesn’t seem as sound isolating as the show home we stood in and did our “sound tests” in. This is a PSA for any potential buyer: as far as follow up on your Trico purchase, don’t expect Trico to have your back. My manager quit, the assistant moved on, and the financial agent quit and despite being told in the replies to follow up it’s merely to save face on forums like this, but in reality this was their response “No further action will be taken on this and myself or anyone else at Trico will no longer be speaking to this.” Funny how that works out in their favour - have your staff leave and all their faults/problems leave with them.

I did respond to your previous Homestars review with the below comments. It is unfortunate that you are not pleased with the process, our staff and what Trico offered you as compensation for the misunderstanding. Regarding the shared wall... You did purchase a duplex and like all duplexes there is a party wall that separates the two properties. Trico Homes follows all City of Calgary building codes and after an inspection from a city inspector I can confirm we passed all the regulations for sound barriers. Depending on your neighbor and their lifestyle you may hear some noise at times. Here is my previous response to your Homestars post: Thank you for your feedback. Trico Homes takes feedback very seriously and I have looked into this matter. When customers visit our showhome we often provide them with a package of specifications and brochures to take home. Because our homes are ever evolving and changes to improve the model or adjustments to square footage happen regularly, we ensure that the following statement is noted at the bottom of the brochure: "Dimensions, pricing etc are subject to change. Renderings are artist's conceptions only and may vary by community and lot selection. Prices, floorplans, specifications and dimensions are approximate and are subject to change without notice. E.O.E. © All rights reserved, including the right if reproduction in the whole or in part without the permission of Trico Homes". Trico Homes has built over 9000 homes and has handed out thousands of brochures throughout the years. While we recognize the brochure has a clause, we want to ensure customer satisfaction; therefore we worked with you to provide the most square footage as possible by adding a cantilever at no cost extra cost. In addition, we offered a $1,300 cash difference for the square footage we could not account for. We want to sincerely apologize for this misunderstanding.     Midtown airdrie

    We took possession of our Trico home In Midtown almost a month ago. From the very first interaction with the Area Manager Kristy with the writing up the deal to the interior selections and taking possession of our home was absolutely painless and actually a lot of fun. If we had any questions during the whole process Kristy always was there giving us an answer or contacting the proper person to make sure we had the answers. A week before we took possession we met with Tim and I believe Rob. They told us to look high and low side to side and let them know of any deficiencies we could see. Both Tim and Rob actually we’re noticing things neither of us were seeing. When we left we said how we felt buying this Trico was the right choice having Trico employees going above and beyond wanting to make sure our home was perfect for our possession day. A week later we met the Trico boys again and were grateful to see Kristy (who came in from her new community in Cochrane) to make sure that we were happy with the final product. Later that day we were outside in the backyard and noticed the basement window wasn’t filled in with the rocks so we emailed Justine and within minutes she emailed us back letting us know that she has contacted the proper company to come fill in the window well. Bright and early the next morning the company was here filling the window well in. We have absolutely nothing but good things to say about Trico homes we tell all of our friends who are looking at buying a home in the next few months to go see Kristy and buy a Trico home!

    New Home

    I am so happy to have built my first house with Trico Homes. When I first looked at the different builders in Crestmont, I found that the people at Trico stood out by far from the others. Sharon and Lisa did an incredible job from the start. They helped me visualize each element to the house and they worked hard to accommodate all of the changes I made. Every step of the process was explained clearly, and they followed up on my inquiries in a timely manner. I was especially impressed with how they adapted to my busy schedule. Throughout all of our meetings, they were very professional and courteous. Sharon and Lisa are truly great at what they do. I also had a great designer for my interior selections. Sarah had a sharp eye for detail, and she gave great advice for the overall look that I was going for. The house looks Amazing!! Everything right down to the foundation is solid. Peter, the site supervisor, went over everything with in great detail, and Maurice helped to correct the smallest issues. These guys have a ton of experience. I would highly recommend Trico Homes!!

    Trico Homes in NW

    Very bad experience with Trico Homes after booking our new custom home. It seems once you singed the contract they least bother about customer concerns. Unfortunate decision to choose this builder.

    Exceeded Expectations

    Working with Justin Rampersand (Trico Homes Calgary) was by far the best decision my family made in 2018. Being our first home, we didn't know much, but Justin's calm attitude and immediate responses to queries made us feel very comfortable in this process. I don't think I can over-emphasize this, but Justin is very professional with his work. If we had to do this again, it would always be Justin.

    New Home

    I am so happy that we went with a Trico home! We took possetion of our home back in September and couldn't have been happier with the process and the end result. Sharon Csabonas at the Showhomes really made the experience for us. She was so knowledgable and genuine really made the process easy and was always able to help answer all our fist time home buyer questions. Sharon was so incredibly! Can't rave enough about how much we enjoyed working with her! Now that we have been in our home for a few months, we are still so happy with the end result. Workmanship was fantastic and the few repairs that have needed to happen have been handles quickly and professionally by Theresa and Dean in the service and warranty departments. They are both top notch and have been so helpful. Overall very happy with our home buying experience with Trico! Would highly recommend!!

    New Home

    We have recently moved into our newly built Trico Home in Riviera Cochrane. the whole process was seamless much to our relief. We have heard horror stories from friends who have built with different companies, but we didn’t have any problems! It was fun actually, choosing all the different designs and floor plans, etc. The trico team walked you through each step and were always pleasant and happy to help, beyond pleasant. A big shout out to Kelsey who we worked with from the start; just wonderful! We have called her and emailed her a hundred times (literally) and she always came back with an answer-fast. Talk about efficiency and someone who knows their job to a t. Truly Trico has a gem in Kelsey. Sarah from the design Center was fun to work with and very helpful. Kim and Andrew at the Showhome were always helpful when we popped in with any other questions. Maurice who did our walk through inspection, left zero stones unturned. He was very thorough and made sure the house was in tip top condition. My husband was away at time of walk through so Maurice took extra time to answer all my questions and inform me on what was what. Tim and Ryan, the actual builders were a hoot to hang out with too! They have built a beautiful house, and entire community and are masters of their trade, I love those guys ! We have been in for almost a month and the Trico team still is assisting us with any questions or inquiries, they don’t simply disappear once you’re in your new home. We love our new house and are grateful we selected Trico to build with; they definitely blew the competition out of the water. Thanks for everything guys!
