    Evanston - Trico New House

We bought a new house from Trico 7 months ago. Great quality, nice finishings and the most important thing: they took care of us, sales process nice and smooth, not pushy. Post sale service excellent and everybody is been available when we need anything. Great customer service, great product, we're so happy!

    New Build in Cochrane

From our first dealings with Ryan Campbell at the Trico showhomes in Cochrane to our build overseen by Peter the experience has been very positive. This was our first time purchasing a new build. We have always backed away from new builds hearing awful stories other people have experienced. We can safely say we have had an amazing experience with Trico. Trico has built a quality home and any problems that arise, Peter personally comes to assess and fix immediately. If we were to build again we would feel confident in choosing Trico. The Cochrane team (Ryan and Peter & trades crews, are quickly responsive, professional, and caring to our needs. The only thing I would do differently next time (if we ever chose to move, doubt it!) I would use my own personal lawyer, not the builders lawyer. Thanks all! Amazing job.

    New Duplex Home

We are very impressed and happy with Trico's work at the community of Legacy. We were allowed to be involved in the selection of customized work. We were kept informed with the progress of the construction. Landscaping and fencing were not included; but should have been so that the area would look much professionally done. We love it, though. Thanks to all of Trico's staff and partners for making our home marvelous.

    New home

We had our one year check up on the house. There were some items that needed to be fixed, such as some dry wall that was uneven, cracks in concrete on the side of house and basement, and front door stair railing. Standard items for a 1 year appointment. They could only come during weekdays so we had to take time off, and some items needed to be revisited. The team was very nice and explained the process well. The items that they did finish were good. The only bad thing was that it took awhile in between appointments to fix things because some people were on vacation. Otherwise it was a good experience.

    new home

We built a new home with Trico and are very pleased with the service. We are happy with our new home even though there are still some parts that need to be fixed(I do hope the parts get fixed soon). The buying & building process were very smooth and pleasant. The people were kind and knowledgeable. Overall they did a great job!

    Home Building

Trico staff was always helpful and kind. The house was built on time and according to all our selections. During the process they were able to accommodate some changes we requested. My only complain is that they were a lot of small details to be fixed or done after possession that required that I took quite some time off work in order to receive the trades. Although, Warranty coordinator and technician were always helpful through this process and any other detail that came up afterwards was fixed quickly.

    Buying new house

I only gave them 4 because I didn't possess my house yet, so I am giving them a chance to prove that they are worth the money I paid. I have never encountered that level of service before in Canada or elsewhere. The process was very hasty from the start and as a result there were so many things that I needed to do and didn't have the chance and things that due to miscommunication were missed. I was OK with that putting myself to blame because I wasn't more careful and organized. But then later even if there was something that was documented and missed because of their employee it is still not corrected and this is the first time my life to see a company acknowledge their fault but still will not correct it. Even if something is defected they will not change it, I had a broken tub that they refused to change and said "Oh no we will just fix it" and when I stated that this is not acceptable and I am not comfortable the answer was "just mark it on your possession date and we will give you one year warranty". This gives you the feeling that they think you are stupid because you will get one year warranty on everything anyways. So when I requested the name of the manufacturer to ask them about the weather that will affect the life expectancy of the tub I was totally ignored. I do believe that ignoring a customer is totally unprofessional. You can approve or refuse depending on how much you value your customer but to ignore is the ultimate unprofessionalism and it happened twice with me. The other time it happened when I demanded to talk to a manager in the design centre which to me is unacceptable. It is the first how I build and though it should have been a wonderful easy experience it turned into a worrisome full of doubt experience and all I can think of now is the kind of service I will get after the possession date. If you have to buy from this company then be extra careful in your transactions and be aware that the warm hearted welcomeness that you will get before giving them your money will turn into complete ignorance (unless they want more money of course) after signing. I hope someone will learn from my experience without having to go through all that.

    Townhouse

I purchased my first home from Trico in 2012, the experience was a fairly easy process with little complaint. I did have some warranty issues after possession but my warranty tech and coordinator were helpful and had the issue rectify as quickly as possible.

    new home

My experience with Trico homes has been nothing short of spectacular. If I had the chance to give these guys 11/10, I would. From the first initial contact with Ted and Justin to the weeks leading after we had lived in our new home was phenomenal! These guys really do go out their way for the customer. Ted was very patient with us from the beginning. I never once felt pressured by him as I did with other builders. These guys are constantly on the ball with their follow ups and making things happen for you. With home builders it’s very hard to determine a good experience because most of the problems come after the house is built and you are living in it. I wanted to wait till after we had dealt with service to determine my overall experience. There is no such thing as a perfect house but there is a sure thing on how you deal with the problems on hand and these guys really do take the cake. I had some minor issues after moving in and they came in and took care of everything. It was very pleasant dealing with Jake; he is one of their warranty technicians. He was very thorough during the customer orientation and also did a great job on educating us on how to take care of our new home. This was our very first home and it can be over whelming with everything but Jake took care of us well. I highly, highly recommend these guys. They will take care of you from the beginning and long after
