    Furnace

    Kevin the technician is very nice, knowlegeable. He smiles a lot as well, he explain what was the problem with the furnace and fix it very well. I highly recommend him to my friends and his company as well

    Replaced furnace blower and installed humidifier

    This review is for two separate experiences. The first was a couple of weeks ago when we came home from work to no heat. We called a couple plumbing companies but Knight was the only one with someone available that evening. The customer service on the phone was great and Kevin was our technician. He was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Within a couple hours he had the heat back on in our house! We promptly cancelled a humidifier install with a competitor and booked with Knight. The second experience was with the install of the new humidifier. Geoff came out and did a great job. He found errors with the set up of our thermostat and promptly fixed them. He was also very personable and I was happy to have him working on our furnace! We have been extremely happy with our experiences with Knight and will recommend them to anyone looking for work on their furnace.

    New furnace and water tank installation

    After a carbon monoxide scare at my mom’s townhouse where the detectors went off and fire department was called, it was deemed that the furnace was no longer to code and could not continue to operate. My brother called Knight and George came out that evening at around eight and looked at the problem and said definitely a new furnace was needed. The following Monday an employee dropped off heaters so we wouldn’t be frrezing and the water was turned on. George came back on Thursday and spent from just before noon to about ten o’clock that night installing everything. I appreciate that they put floor protectors down and they were very patient with our golden retriever who insisted on hanging out down there to supervise. The only problem was that George found that the wires for the thermostat were stapled and couldn’t be taken off which meant we were out anther almost $500 to install a wireless one. I think just because of how much things had already cost this was w hard pill to swallow but nothing could really be done and we went ahead with the work. Everything looks really good and there’s now a new more efficient furnace and water tank which is really good. The workers were friendly, George communicated well to tell us what was happening and worked hard to get it all ready.

    Hot water tank repair

    Our hot water tank stopped working on a Friday afternoon, after searching online for reputable companies to call, my first call was to Knight. They let me know they could come by on Monday (I am too cheap to pay the extra evening/weekend fee!!). Other places either gave me a date of Wed, or didn't have as high a rating on Google, which I checked each place I called. So I called Knight back and scheduled someone to come on Monday. They came within the timeframe they gave me which was really great. Dan came to the door, was super friendly and personable right off the bat. He took a look at the problem and confirmed...yup, it isn't working...after a short visit he concluded he would need to order the part, and is hoping to have it arrive by Wednesday. The next day Ingot a call telling me the part was already in and we scheduled a time On Wed to have it repaired. It was really awesome that they fixed it so quickly!!! Dan was really great to work with, explained what was happening, and was very trustworthy - sadly that seems to be a rarity these days. At no time did he try to sell me more than what I required, which was also refreshing. I definitely will use Knight going forward, and highly recommend them - give them a call you won't regret it!! Thanks Dan and Knight....you all are fantastic!!

    Thermostat installation and furnace check

    Geoff and his apprentice were very professional and pleasant as they set up my Ecobee4. They checked my furnace, humidifier and set up my new thermostat. Excellent service... I would highly recommend them!

    Furnace Problem

    Our furnace was operating inconsistently over the last few months and finally stopped working during a -28C day, so I called the company recommended by Amana. I was put on a priority list and within a couple of hours, I was called and advised that a service technician was on his way. Kevin quickly identified a faulty pressure switch, but had to go back to the office to pick it up. He returned 45 minutes later, installed the switch and our furnace back up and running. Kevin's quick service was appreciated considering the cold weather.

    Water heater problem

    I had not hot water in my house and couldn't figure out the issue. Within 2 hours of calling on a very cold day we had Mike G come to our house. Mike was courteous and really knew his stuff. He was able to fix the problem and show me how to avoid issues in the future.

    Service Call

    From the friendly first contact with the office dispatcher to the actual technician, the experience was very pleasant and professional. The problem was diagnosed and fixed promptly. Would recommend them easily to anyone.

    Toilet leak, install new toilet

    I had a leak in pipes in the furnace room coming from bathroom off the kitchen. Called Knight, they sent someone that afternoon. The seal was broken below the toilet, they could have repaired the toilet and fixed the leak for over $377.00 but since the toilet was over 15 years old, suggested I get a new toilet. I purchased new toilet, then set up another appointment for Knight to install. They were very accommodating coming when it worked best for me. Both Mike who came out on the first call and Ciara who did the install were very friendly and very helpful. I would recommend Knight to anyone. They came to me from a recommendation from my son who had used them before.

    Furnace Installation

    My furnace stopped working 8:30pm, the Friday of a long weekend, the day before I was to leave on a flight. The dispatcher at Knight Plumbing was able to connect me with George, who was at my house within an hour. George informed me that the control chip for the furnace required replacement. Since the control chip must be ordered, George by-passed the control chip and hooked the fan up to run continuously, so that the house could remain heated while I was away. George provided an estimation to me for replacing the control chip, as well as an estimation on a new furnace. The initial call-out fee was waived when I agreed to purchase a new furnace. Six business days later, Kevin installed the new furnace. The installation was professional and complete in one day. The ducts and exhaust pipes are secured neatly out of the way. The site clean upon completion of the job. I am very impressed with the quick response of Knight Plumbing, their friendly technicians and their professional knowledge.
