    Kitchen Drain Plugged

So my kitchen drain was plugged, well not completely plugged but it had gotten to a point were it would take forever to drain. I heard of Homestars and decided to give them a try to find a reputable plumber. I saw that this company has a high rating with a 9.8 so i decided to give them a try. A plumber named George came to the house, he was very kind and polite and managed to clear my clog in little under an hour. I was handed a bill for $300. I was upset to hear how much it cost, but I assumed that this was a fair price so i had to bight my tounge, put on a smile and pay the gentleman. My problems came afterward. Later that week I had been talking to one of my friends who had a similar plumbing problem, but they had a bathtub that was not draining fast enough. They had called another company to come in and use the electric snake (same tool they used) to unblock the clog. When I asked how much it cost her she told me it only cost her $150!!! I paid double that! and she told me the plumber was there for an hour and a half. I had read some complaints about this company and there pricing on this Homestars review forum and it seems that the response this company keeps giving is that there pricing is in line with industry standards. So i decided to call the "industry" and get some pricing. To my surprise Waterworks prices were at least 50% higher then the other places I called. I mentioned to some other companies that i had WaterWorks give me an estimate of $300 and they all laughed at me and told me i was getting ripped off. They told me not to call these companies with huge ads because they have to pay for them by inflating the bill. The highest price i got from the competition was $200, but the majority of them came in around the $160-$180 range. I liked how this company was on time and did the work as they described but the pricing is just out of wack. . Will not call again and cannot recommend.

Low Water Pressure on Main Floor

Michael was very professional, efficient and honest. He solved our water pressure problems in a flash and had a great deal of knowledge. He definitely went over and above what was expected. He did exactly what he said and as advertised on his website. His pricing was exactly as stated, and much better than any competitors. I would highly recommend Michael from water works for any future plumbing needs.

    Move Sprinkler Head

I needed to have a sprinkler head moved in order to satisfy the requirement of my building permit. I called the waterworks office and spoke with friendly and helpful staff that set up a next day appointment. also the office called on the day of the appointment to let me know when they where on rout. We discussed the work to be completed, looked at the price guide and we were set to go. Overall I would say I was pleased with the service, they came on time and got right to work. I would recommend Waterworks Canada to friends and family. I would Describe it as friendly competent service.

    drainage fittings

The best Toronto Plumber! Michael was fast and personable. Jean, the office Manager was polite, funny, and accomodating. These guys know what they're doing. Michael was quick to diagnose and repair my drainage fittings. I live in a heritage brownstone in Yorkville and would call Waterworks again for any issue. I recommend Waterworks!

Hi Michelle, Thank you for your fantastic compliments and yes, when we quote a price we try to hold the budget in line with the initial quote. Our objective is to save the customer money when possible which means a repair rather than a replacement, only if we see that it is going to be a quality repair. Thank you and Happy Holidays from all of us at Water Works Plumbing and Drain

    Plumbing leak in kitchen

I have a leak that I need repaired in my kitchen. I called Waterworks and they sent Michael, who was exceptionally polite and professional. In fact, he was one of those people that I realize are unique- respectful, a great communicator and a guy that actually was thinking when he did his job. The job was quite complicated. He was forced to use the Waterworks price list, which I thought was very expensive. Not his fault. They are clever because a $30 visit fee (which sounds inexpensive) is partnered with high fixed rates for jobs. I believe that installing a dishwasher was $300, and removing one was about $250, even though neither should take an hour. It would have been a perfect experience if the price was more reasonable. That said, I would recommend this to someone that wants a professional job done right and is not as cheap as I am.

Hi Repairing in Riverdale, Just to very clear on costs that our prices are very much in line with our competitors. We do shop our competitors from time to time to make sure that our pricing is kept as low as possible. In the areas in which we excel in ,are professionalism, timliness, responsiblity and caring about our work and our clients. If you notice our 9.8 rating,it means that almost everybody is extremely satisfied with our service. Unfortunately, being too thrifty, when it comes to your home means that you end up short changing yourself. Good service does not cost more-it pays more. Happy Holidays and Best Wishes to you and your family from all of us at Water Works Plumbing and Drain

    Hook up new sink plumbing

Spoke to Jean on the phone and had Michael come within 2 days to provide estimate. He explained in detail what was required and said he couldn't stay that day but would be able to come in the next. Came in the next day, did the job quickly and professionally. Tidied up - no mess no fuss with quick courteous professional service. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
