You can imagine the horror of coming home to a sewer backup in my basement. However, Mike and the guys at Public Plumbing came through for us big time. Mike came that same night - at 10:00 pm - and was able to snake the drain with the camera, release the blockage so we could resume using the water (with a large family, this was crucial) and figure out what caused it in the first place. He was very up-front about what the best fix would be and what it would cost, as well as possible alternatives and the associated risks with those. In the end, he was able to book a crew to come replace the broken section of pipe for the very next morning. The crew was there when they were supposed to be, the job was done quickly, thoroughly and professionally and overall Public Plumbing did an incredible job of helping us through a difficult time - all at a reasonable cost. Public Plumbing is definitely our new "go-to" for the future.

Within a couple hours of calling, Mike the plumber was at the door. He was friendly, polite and gave me a quote before starting. I felt that a clogged drain was something I should have been able to fix myself, but his equipment was much better than mine and he found the clog 25 feet in. Mike had the problem fixed and the water running in no time. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. I'll definitely use them again.

I was asked by the City of Toronto to have my water pipe changed from galvanized pipe to copper pipe. I called Public Plumbing and Mike & his crew were very professional, courteous and experienced. They did a fantastic job and were also very clean and cognizant about keeping everything clean & tidy while they performed the job. The job was well done and on time. Had a wonderful experience. Very professional, fast, clean up well, and did a super job. The job was big and needed to be done right away. They took care of everything. The job was inside and outside my house in the middle of Winter and they worked so hard. They came back to check on the soil in the Spring to make sure it settle okay and if there was anything else that needed done and I didn't have to call and ask them to come. I highly recommend them!

One of the worse nightmares of Homeowners is plumbing problem... mine was clogged pipe... filthy water and waste backed up my utility tub in the laundry room. Public Plumbing was recommended n checked their website and read the reviews..didn't checked other companies but called them right away. From the secretary to the plumber..it was satisfying especially talking to a live person...within minutes i was able to talk to the technician or plumber. Mike ( plumber) called and made an appointment with me for the next day. it was Saturday and anytime emergencies can happen. It was so kind of Mike to call that he will be late. Mike arrived and introduced himself and was very apologetic for being late. I explained to him the problem and we both went to the laundry room and basement where the pipes are located. He assessed the situation, gave me options and quoted me the price. Upon agreeing , he brought the necessary equipments and started working and at the same time explaining everything...i got to look at the camera. Thank God the problem was not that bad...and the culprit...blocked papers. As soon as he's done or problem solved, he cleaned and sanitized the area...what more could you ask??? Imagine Easter weekend and a Sewer back up! Naz and his team were amazing. From diagnosis to full resolution they worked tirelessly. Totally professional throughout, I would have absolutely NO hesitation in recommending them to friends and family. I've NEVER written a review before BUT this company and team deserve to be recognized. THANK YOU!

Initially the carpet in the laundry room in the basement was found wet. With my own searching for the source of the water, water dripping was found coming down from above level. When searching for a plumber, I found this website and decided to call Public Plumbing. Vlad came for an initial estimate and told me what his diagnostic procedure would be. What worried me was that it seemed difficult in locating the spot where the leak was originated from. Holes would have to be cut in the dry walls and I wasn't sure how many of them would have to be cut. Situation seemed to me more challenging the next day when Vlad came to start the diagnostics and fix. The water dripping sound inside the dry wall that could be heard yesterday couldn't be heard any more. Vlad proceeded with his diagnostic procedure and in the end he did a very good job. He only cut two holes altogether and it seemed to me the diagnostic procedure he took was all right and he was trying to avoid unnecessary diagnostic damage. The leaking spot was at an awkward position below the hot tub. Vlad pointed out that the pipe wasn't positioned properly as such the bottom of the tub was touching the pipe, which I agreed with his comment. Although it looked to me the fix would be quite a bit challenging, Vlad did it very efficiently and he also adjusted the pipe line's position to avoid the tub's touching on it. The whole diagnostics and fix together was about two hours, and to me the price ($160 diagnostics and $450 repair) is all reasonable. I was very pleased with the result.

It was Sunday and the toilet was clogged up with possible childrens toys. Yucky not pleasant. I had to work and could not really fix it nor knew how to. I read about this company on homestars so called in and got Mike to call me back. He showed up at the time slot we agreed on, he fixed the issue as he promised and he even tried to help some other plumbing issues if he could. He was polite and cleaned up the mess after. Very satisfied with Mike from this company.

They came the next day to scope out the problem, were able to answer all my questions, and even told me about a rebate program that would save me money! Once the work started, they were always here in the morning by 9:30 and worked until what needed to be completed that day was done, one day til after 6pm. The entire job including inspection was complete in 3 days, my basement was cleaned up beautifully and the garden was returned to a state that was better than what was there before the work started! I was very happy with the work that was done, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mike and the guys at Public Plumbing to my family and friends.
