    First Time Needing a Plumber

Very impressed by the up front pricing, as well as the lack of "after hours" pricing. Having a plumber come in after 9pm and paying $70 for the service call is amazing. The plumber that arrived was friendly, personable, polite and clean. He quickly diagnosed the problem and helped me find an affordable solution. A different employee came the next day to finish the project, and he was great as well. He impressed my husband, and that is hard to do. He also loved our cats, which we loved! If every service call went like this one did, I'd break more appliances!

    Answer from pro:

HA! Well, we don't recommend breaking things on purpose, just to see us! But we do appreciate the sediment. ;) Thanks for the great review, N.M.

Leak fix: hose replacement and shut off valve installation.

Found a water leak, called you guys, got an appointment for that same day, booking was easy and I recieved a heads up call before the technician arrived. Sean came by and checked out the leak. Showed me the problem and several solutions, and explained the pros/cons of all options. Went ahead a performed the work quickly and professionally, no housekeeping or safety issues whatsoever. Sean went through the home inspection and brought up some improvements that could be performed, and answered some questions I had as I am a new homeowner and don't have a clue about plumbing. Sean was very personable and professional, the type of person you let into your house last minute to get something fixed you can't do yourself.

    Answer from pro:

We understand, all too well, that plumbing can be overwhelming for a new home owner. Heck, even seasoned home owners often don't know all that much about what goes on past the drain. The great thing about going in fresh is that everything is a teaching opportunity. Thank you very much for your great review, Sean S. If you run into any other plumbing troubles, give The Gentlemen a call! :)

Declogging of home pipelines due to chocolate production.

Since we have a commercial kitchen I’m out basements in which lots of chocolate equipment gets washed our pipes had been slowly building up with cocoa butter grease etc. Eventually it caused the sewer line to back up. Shawn was incredibly thorough and not only got us running again but gave us what we needed to prevent it from happening again. Sensational service!!

    Answer from pro:

Chocolate: Tastes great! Not so great for pipes. We're happy to hear that we were able to get your plumbing moving again. Thanks for the great review, obsessionhandmadechocolates! Oh, and if you happen to have any chocolate lying around, we're big fans! ;)

hook up and disconnection of temporary natural gas heaters

On February 2nd the gentlemen plumbers came out to hook up two natural gas heaters to supply temporary heat to the building. They were originally booked for February 1st but they were unable to make it to the location on that day so they came first thing on February 2nd. The charge that day was for approximately $1000 because one of the locations required scaffolding to access the natural gas tie in. The scaffolding was supplied and set up for the plumber to do the work. It seemed unusually expensive for the work especially since the plumber seemed to have no difficulties and spent less time at that location but the plumber was friendly and got the work done efficiently. When it came time to disconnect the heaters there was some miscommunication between us and the plumber so the appointment was changed. He was initially scheduled to arrive between 8 am and 10 am on February 19 but got rescheduled to later that day between 1 pm and 5 pm. He was unable to make it that day and we rescheduled to February 20 between 10 am and 1 pm. He arrived right around noon and disconnected the heaters very quickly and only charged about $75 for the service call fee which was very nice especially after the $1000 bill from the first visit. Overall i was impressed with how professional the plumbers were and how quickly they worked despite being unable to make the initial appointments.
