    Water Pipe Leak

    Very good, professional service from Gentleman Plumber. Trevor was very knowledgeable and helpful and made all required repairs very quickly. In addition, Trevor conducted a house inspection, coming up with several suggestions.

    Annual Home Plumbing Inspection

    Jeff provided a thorough, comprehensive plumbing inspection (free for members of The Diamond Club) which included, but was not limited to the kitchen, laundry, two bathrooms, furnace, and water heater. He reviewed the operation and testing of both smoke and CO detectors and secured the fixtures that regulate the filling/emptying of the basins. Jeff was very courteous, helpful , and informative during the inspection, advising us how to flush out the water heater, and regulate the thermostat for the a/c, and presenting, but not pushing products and services available at Gentleman Plumbers. We were very grateful to have Jeff do our inspection; he is a knowledgeable, competent professional who helps give the Gentleman Plumbers such a good name.

    Taken advantage of or lack of expertise??

    Had a technician come out to inspect some unusual furnace behaviour and flashing codes. An hour later he told me that the board was shot and multiple other very expensive parts were also not working. He mentioned that the furnace was bypassing safety features and suggested keeping it turned off. At the time of the inspection I was home alone with my 4 month old and doing the best I could to understand the problem and possible solutions. The next thing I knew he was suggesting I buy an all together new furnace (the one I currently have is 12 years old). I was quite shocked at the diagnosis and a little scared for the safety of my family. The technician mentioned he could get someone out to discuss our options further, which I later found out was a furnace sales person. My husband and I were not quite ready to dish out $6500 on the spot so we told them we would take the night to think about our options. We decided to get a second opinion on the diagnoses the next day. To make a long story a little shorter, there was a visibly broken piece on the outside of the furnace that this technician pointed out right away (within 2 min of looking at the furnace). He fixed it within an hour and the furnace was good as new. There were no board issues, no expensive parts to purchase, and certainly no mention of a new furnace being needed. Needless to say, I feel a combination of being taken advantage of as well as a lack of due diligence and expertise on the gentlemen's plumbers part. If you hire the gentlemen plumbers, I would be ready to dish out some more $$ for a second opinion on whatever diagnosis they give you.

    Plumbing Concern

    Hired this company to simply repair a toilet at my mom's residence -she is a senior and the toilet tank had a slow ongoing leak and fill cycle that had increased her water bill. My Instructions to this company was to simply come out and replace toilet fill valve assembly & flapper by using a kit (already purchased) with these parts included inside of it- However, instead of installing the parts provided, the service technician filled toilet tank with red colored dye to show my mom, that toilet tank was not leaking into toilet bowl. Invoice says technician waited 40 minutes. Tech then told my mother that he could install the parts in the kit, but that this would not fix her toilets' problem. In Colton's written description of the work done, this tech indicates that toilet should be totally rebuilt including taking the tank off to replace seals etc. or her other option was to replace the toilet because her Kohler toilet is 11 years old - unbelievable! Who would do that? Called out another plumber - NOT with Gentlemen plumbers - he replaced the parts inside the purchased kit and guess what? Toilet is fixed! No total rebuilt of toilet required, no toilet replacement needed. Be warned in hiring this company. The cost up-sell to customers when they get to your house is truly concerning.

    Great work!

    I had Gentlemen Plumbers in to do an inspection and they also looked into an issue that I had with my bathroom sink. Marcus was friendly, professional and answered any questions which I had.

    Outlet replacements

    Chris was our electrician for this job and he was prompt, courteous and thorough in every aspect of our experience. He took the time to explain the essential elements of the needed work in a way that was comprehensible to the layman. The work was done efficiently and effectively.

    Over Priced!!!

    Today's internet you can get prices on anything! DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! I unfortunately did not, I signed their work order to install 2 new toilets at $685 each installed!!! Priced the exact item at your local Home Renovation stores and they were priced at $225 each!! Do the math!! $460 for approx 1.5 hours work!!! The second toilet they could not install (no fault of their own) but charged me the markup of approx $385 and left the toilet assembled on the floor. Find Plumbers with free estimates, Gentlemen Plumbers charge you $76 to knock on your door!!! So, I paid for 1 toilet to be installed the other to sit on the floor $1173.00!!!! Called and asked for Manager they said "Manager will call you ASAP",... no call !!!

    Be wary of their diagnosis

    Giving a one star rating as zero is not an option. Don't waste your money. Called for a hot water tank coming up with a thermopile issue. After farting around for a couple hours the technician said to get any parts for it would take 8-12 weeks. That it wasn't worth fixing as the minimum repair was $500. Then proceeded to try and sell me on a $2000-$3000 water tank with either a 5 year or 10 year warranty, and that is was apples to apples the best system out there and worth every penny. Told them I needed a second opinion so they charged me $69 onsite fee and $100 diagnostic (when they didn't identify the actual issue other then my tank was a bad brand). Called another plumber, came out, soldered a piece back on and replaced the thermopile TCO wire that Gentlemen plumbers had taken with them. Water tank is working, he also noted that the current tank actually has a 10 year parts warranty and ordered the new part for me. Additionally I wanted them to fix a leaking faucet. Gentlemen plumber said he had never seen a cartridge like that and that this was not a brand of faucet he'd ever seen and that we should replace the while faucet. Turns out it was American Standard and the part is $27. Really disappointed and feel like I got an overpriced salesmen instead of a plumber.

    Leaky toilet, multiple wet spots in basement

    This is the second time I’ve used the Gentlemen Plumbers and they are fantastic. Punctual, knowledgeable, helpful, professional and not pushy or salesy. I would highly recommend using them if you’re in need of a plumber!

    Very Satisfied and Happy Customer

    Highly Recommended. The two technicians from The Gentlemen Pros were very professional and friendly. They did amazing work, alleviating all my worries. They were here for many hours, doing the camera work and augering the sewer line to clear tree roots, and preparing for the liner installation and backflo valve to be done next week. They kindly took the time to explain all the steps and options, so that I have a clear understanding. They were both truly professional and friendly and I trust them. I am also going to have an Electrician from this company come out to do some work. The Gentlemen Pros are very trustworthy and I know I can count on them. I would highly recommend them to anybody.
