    roofing

    I contacted City 1 regarding replacing a roof. Danny came by and had a look, was very detailed about what they would do, and provided references. I did go and see a few of the roofs done by City 1 and spoke to an owner of a home who had work done by City 1 , and he was very satisfied. Chuck and his team arrived, on time, and worked diligently throughout the day. A great crew and their work was very well done. Clean up was important as I have a dog, and they took a lot of time and care making sure their were no nails hanging around. I was very satisfied with the quality of their work and professionalism and would recommend them.

    New Roof

    From the moment he arrived for the initial quote I was impressed by Danny's thoroughness and attention to detail. City 1 Roof Works (Danny) was the third of three quotes I obtained for the roof replacement I needed on my 40+ year old home, and Danny was the only one to take the time to climb on the roof and inspect things first hand. The other two companies that provided estimates merely measured the base of the house and stood on their toes across the street! The day of the install went off without a hitch. You could instantly tell the team have worked together for years and had the process down to a science. They worked steadily through-out the day as a well oiled machine, and when they were done the clean-up, other then the amazing looking new roof you wouldn't have known they were there. The crew, lead by Chuck and Norm, were very polite and courteous...explaining things very well along the way as I popped out now and again to check on the progress. Usually I don't give a contractor a perfect score, but City 1 Roof Works went above and beyond what was asked for and stayed within the quote. No last minute additional costs or surprises! Just the way I like it. Good old fashioned honesty. I highly recommend these guys!

    Roof replacement and new eaves and downspouts

    I received 3 quotes for my roofing job, which was for my house and detached garage, and although "Roofs on Homes" was not the lowest, they were fairly priced for the quality of their services. Danny was the best to deal with from the start. He came-in and asked me about my project and what I wanted, then he got a ladder and went up to verify the roof and also checked the sofits. He looked to ensure there was proper ventilation in the attic and even went in the attic to verify. He was thorough and also took the time to explain everything and talk about options. He also clearly explained their business and how they operate, showed their license and certificates, etc... I had one real lowball price and didn't even consider since the guy came to the house looked at my roof from outside (without talking to me first about what I was looking for), then knocked on my door and gave me the price and briefly explained what it was based on. They were using lower quality roofing (from company in class action lawsuits). Roofs on Homes did a great job and a good clean-up at the end. They only deal with CertainTeed roofing products, which from my research have the best reviews out there. There was one minor issue due to some of the existing roof boards needing replacement, which required my skylight to be removed and re-installed. This caused a bit of damages on the ceiling inside and a bit of a mess in the bathroom, but this was not pat of the original scope, so at the end they did a good job with the skylight and roof boards. Also the subcontractor that they used for the eaves and downspouts did a very good job as well. Thanks Danny and your site team! Marc

    New roof

    I checked out a few roofing companies and read through a bunch of reviews. I picked roofs on homes because there were a lot of positive aspects to this company. Danny came by and was well prepared and provided us with lots of comprehensive information. He was great at explaining the costs and material that they were using. It's a family run business and they treat the workmanship as if it's their own. Danny's brother came by with his crew early in the morning and the worked hard the whole day and completed the job. They were courteous and did an unbelievable job cleaning up. My neighbour who we share a lane way and driveway with were really impressed at the cleanup. At the end of the day, Danny's brother noticed that we needed a couple of pieces of flashing on our window ledge because of a gap (old roof). They had to order the pieces and said they would be back on Monday to complete the job. True to their word, we came home and it was done. We're really happy with the service provided by roofs on homes.

    Repair Shingles

    I got couple shingles blown away this February. Danny and his team came fix it the next sunny day. They also spot the other place need to be repaired and fixed it for me, and offer a certificate of 1 year warranty. The wonderful thing about them is that when I called them earlier this week for repair due to a storm, they came with in 2 days. It was surprisingly efficient!! They do know that it's a job covered in warranty in advance, and they still come as soon as they could. I'm really really impressed. It's hard to see such reliable contractors these days! BIG thumb up for them!!! I will definitely recommend them to my friends.

    Roof Replacement

    Several shingles of my houwse were blown away by a windstorm in March, 2013. I spoke to several roofing replacement contractors. I decided to go with this company, even if it was not lowest estimate, when Danny, the co-owner, took time to explain to me all about roofing materials and processes. He sent two of his men to inspect and seal the broken part two months to the replacement to ensure no further damage to my roof. It took one day for the company to replace my roof - they were there prompty at 6:45 a.m. and left at 7:00 p.m. They took pictures of the before and after work, wrapped and protected everything around the house, including my neighbours. The men were courteous and never bothered us except to ensure they were not in our way. Danny's post work support and assistance were also top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends - not cheap but the quality and professionalism are excellent!

    replacement roof

    In the past we have dealt with some very questionable contractors and so we were very cautious about choosing a company to replace our roof. We definitely made the right choice. Danny was professional throughout the entire process and was always careful to answer all questions and concerns accurately and immediately. The team came exactly when they were supposed to arrive and were very friendly .Our roof is beautiful. In fact, my neighbour admired it so much that she wanted to know who did it and the colour /style that we chose. The team was great and got right to work - no wasted time at all. The cleanup was particularly excellent and we did not do one thing after they left in this area. I feel that we have had a quality job completed on our roof and I am sure that this was money well spent. Thanks to Danny and his great team!

    Roofing

    Danny was excellent in fitting us in as soon as possible due to our leaking roof. His crew was very efficient and finished their work in just one day. They certainly had a lot to deal with as new plywood had to be put on because of considerable leaking damage. They did a wonderful job cleaning up. Thanks again for the superb service!

    Hi Sandra, Thanks for the review, after getting called from Sandra to inspect the roof I found she had a lot of areas where plywood was visible, causing her leaks in a lot of different areas. We agreed on the estimate and rushed her in right away before some of my other customers because of her situation. Sandra was undecided on which color best suited her house. On my second visit I tried to help her the best I could so i went on the roof with the samples and tried to show her samples of colours that would best suit her house. After that I went into the attic to make sure everything was ok from all the leaks she was experiencing. She decided on a colour and we scheduled her in the following week because of her situation. Also she had asked me if I could fix the rubber on the Bottom of her garage door. I asked Chuck to take a look at that and he did fix that for her as well. Not sure what else we could have done to deserve a 10..... Regards Danny

    Re-shingled the whole roof

    We had a few roofing quotes done and when Danny came over to provide a quote he went right on top of the roof. He then came in to my home and provide a quote and explained the whole process. On the day the work was to be done the crew was here at 7 am and the work began. Danny's crew is professional and hard working. They did a great job and the cleanup was perfect and they went above and beyond..

    Roofing

    When I knew had to replace my shingles, I did a lot of research to educate myself because I wanted to make sure I made the right choice. In total, I had eight different quotes, but in the end I decided to move ahead with City 1. I chose City 1 because I like dealing with Danny and felt that he was the most honest on what needed to be done. Secondly, I checked out some of his work and everyone had nothing but great things to say about Danny and his crew. I am extremely happy with my decision. Danny and his crew take great pride in their workmanship. They made sure nothing got damaged and did an exceptional job cleaning up afterwards. I would highly recommend City 1.
