My wife and I are first time home buyers. We had an agent show us a home that we really liked. The agent offered to pay for the home inspector, and had the inspection done. There were certain questions with the basement, insulation and crawl space, sump pump and the stucco siding that we were concerned about, that we hadn't gotten clear answers to. I called Alan on a Sunday, he came on a Tuesday to do a second inspection. We were highly satisfied. He was able to get into areas that the first home inspector could not. He gave us a clear idea of what repairs to put in our amendments for the offer. We had a better idea about what concerns were legitimate versus more just our anxiety. He also spent significant time explaining and covering long term maintenance aspects as well. There is so much money being made in the housing industry. Having Alan felt as though there was someone on your side advocating for you. I would highly recommend his service, and I will be using him again in the future for further inspections (if needed). I will also be using him to suggest contractors for further work that will need to be done.

Very thorough, very knowledgable, approachable, friendly. Answered all our questions thoroughly. Communicated issues/concerns clearly and helped identifying most important. Thermal camera option is worth it.

Recently purchased a house without home inspection condition. The seller had his own home inspection. Alan has been extremely professional. He had found several issues and had prepared a detailed inspection report in which he pointed different hazards and issues to monitor. Alan was extremely helpful by walking us through the overall maintenance of the house as well as walked us through all the major issues we should take into account. He answered all of our questions in a professional manner. We felt we got a comprehensive review on our house condition and were able to feel comfortable with our future move. He explained the general construction of the house along with any existing or potential problems which made us comfortable in moving ahead with the home purchase. I really liked that he followed up a week later to make sure that we understood the report and to ask if we had any further questions.
