We recently had Alan from AllMax do a home inspection before finalizing our purchase agreement on a new home. He was extremely thorough in his inspection and was very informative while taking me through the process. As a first time home buyer with limited knowledge about home inspections, his explanations during the process were communicated in a way that were straight forward and made sense to me. He was also able to elaborate on specific points, giving more detailed information to my father. Alan really knows how to speak to audiences with different levels of knowledge. While looking for a house for 4 months, we had seen quite a few home inspections that had been prepared in advance of the listing. The report provided by AllMax was far more thorough than anything we had seen for other properties. I didn't expect Alan to capture every little detailed he had explained in person, but the report certainly exceeded my expectations. Furthermore, the digital report was delivered via email on the same day of the inspection! Since my wife wasn't able to attend the inspection, Alan was available to answer all her questions about the inspection and the report first thing the next day. Between the in person inspection and the detailed report, I felt very confident that I had a complete view of the home I was ready to purchase. Alan and AllMax are clearly leaders in the home inspection industry. I would highly recommend their services.

Alan is thorough in his work. He answered our questions patiently, with suggestions on priority in fixing and maintaining that particular property. In the end, we did not win in the bidding war but Alan's helpfulness and professionalism are most appreciated. Will definitely retain his service in the future.

Alan did an amazing job with our home inspection on our very first home! He was thorough, broke things down easily, and answered all of our questions on the spot - it's clear how knowledgeable, experienced and professional he is. The process of buying a home was quite stressful, so it was such a relief to experience a home inspection that wasn't stressful at all!

This review is coming in late - Alan came by in February of 2012. We bought the house that was inspected and had a baby immediately afterwards so here I am now just getting to writing the review! Alan was great, he performed a thorough inspection of our home. The house had not been maintained by the previous owners and there were a few findings. We knew this going in, and Alan let us know the reality of the situation. We felt we could manage it, and have since basically gutted and re-finished the entire home. Thanks to Alan, we knew exactly what needed to be addressed, and 1.5 years later nothing else has come up that Alan had not discussed with us during the inspection. I give Alan 10 stars and thank him for helping our family learn about our home.

I would like to say thanks to Alan for his professional inspection work provided. The whole inspection process was efficient and effective. I would never be able to catch so many problems and issues by myself. It is really appreciated also to spend time with me on the phone to address my questions after I received the report. I am glad to know a quick revisit option is available as well. Great service, great job. (Not even mention the cost that I could save.)

I initially hired Allmax to do a one year end home inspection of my new home. Alan was my home inspector and I found him to be highly knowledgeable and professional. I was so impressed with his work that I contacted Alan about a year later to inspect by basement which periodically leaked. Alan conducted a water test and provided me with input regarding the problem. Alan had stated that the garden door frame would most likely need to be replaced and the builder needed to fill in nail holes. My builder fortunately followed through and replaced the garden doors and filled in the nail holes. Alan then returned for a follow up inspection and he conducted another water test. I was so happy and relieved to find that no water had penetrated into my basement. I highly recommend Alan!

He explained every step of the process in great detail and was receptive to all questions giving knowledgeable answers and advice. Being first time home buyers, we had many questions. Alan took the time to answer them all in a way that was not intimidating. The report that Alan provided was very detailed, outlining everything he had inspected along with photos and his recommendations, if any. Alan was our house inspector involved with our recent successful purchase of a house in Seaton Village. We looked at seriously at two houses, both of which were over 100 years old before we eventually settled on the one that we bought. Alan was very thorough and straight to the point with regards to his opinions on the two houses that he inspected for us. He examined the roof, checked the type of electrical wiring, even when this detail had been described on the listing, checked water pressure, heating, as well as the quality of the internal and external features of the house including aspestos. In the first house (which we decided not to purchase), Alan came up with a huge list of problems which he estimated would cost over $50K. With regards to the second house that Alan inspected for us (and we purchased), Alan performed a similarly detailed inspection, and found only a few minor problems with the house (amounting to less than $500). Alan provided us with a detailed report on both houses in less than 24 hours. He was critical but in such a way that we trusted him…when he did give an approving report about the house that we eventually bought, we completely trusted him. We would definitely recommend Alan as a house inspector for anyone looking to employ one.
