    basement flood

    I am very impressed by the service I received from this company -The managers, Caleb and Andrew, were outstanding in their professionalism, knowledge in mold removal & getting the job done. Caleb called me within 5 minutes of my leaving a message & was out to review the job site, and provided an estimate immediately. He recognized the urgency of removing the mold and was on site with a competent crew within a day. The company is extremely responsive to customer needs and goes the extra mile to get the job done. I am posting this as I think both Caleb and Andrew along with their crew, should be recognized for their outstanding work. Kudos to Caleb and Andrew and to Canada's Restoration Services. Thanks again!

    Assessment

    I had called Canada Restoration Services to have an assessment done. I had called many places before and didn’t get the service I wanted. Gabriel came in to do the assessment and his level of professionalism and advice he gave me was very great. I was very concerned but his knowledge and what he shared with me gave me the confidence that the advice will work. I will definitely be recommending your services and passing on the word going forward to others that may need help.

    Mold Remediation

    We detected mold and water damage in the basement of our new home on the day of closing. It was a traumatic experience and thankfully my sister's colleague had enlisted the help of Gabriel and CRS and highly recommended their work and their price level. I contacted Gabriel that evening and he came out the next morning to assess the situation. We agreed on a course of action and Gabriel, Chris and the crew set to work directly after the weekend. They were professional, knowledgeable, helpful and worked according to our agreed upon timeplan. Their work was impressive and timely and they did everything to ensure that our young boys had a safe and clean home to move in to. I really cannot say enough positive things about Canada Restoration Services and would recommend them to anyone and everyone in need of remediation assistance. They are fantastic.

    Insulation, Mold Removal, Reconstruction

    We developed mold in the ceiling under out flat roof due to condensation. After reviewing the “evidence” areas on our ceiling, Restoration identified the cause – and the solution: removal, reinsulation with spray foam, and reconstruction of the ceiling. Restoration’s quote was competitive – and the team, coordinated by Alissa, also coordinated quotes from partner companies Insta-Insulation (for the spray foam) and Perfect Renovations (for the reconstruction). We also appreciated Restoration providing conditional quotes based on whether or not mold was discovered and required removal. (Ultimately, mold was discovered / confirmed during the job and was removed – but knowing the cost in advance took some of the stress out of the job). Alissa was a great partner during this job – coordinating the three companies, and providing regular communication on its progress and any unexpected challenge. Our job did extend beyond the original quoted timeline – however this was not due to negligence – it should be expected in any complex job that some bumps along the road would be encountered. Alissa worked hard with the various Restoration and Perfect teams to ensure that we were back on track in full communication. The Restoration team acted with great care on the premises, ensuring that areas of the house not part of the job were protected with great care. There was some damage to our paint around areas that needed to be sealed with tarping during the job. This wasn’t expected – but was again not due to negligence - it was due to the high heat inside and outside during the job. Again, Alissa coordinated a solution and Restoration had these areas fixed without question. In short – despite this being a job we didn’t want to have to do – Restoration provided us with good counsel, a fair and transparent quote process, a team that worked hard to do the best job with the utmost care to our home, and a champion effort by Alissa to coordinate all the various contractors and teams that needed to be part of this work. All that, and we came in on budget. Our home looks better than it did when we started – and we had the best possible experience we could have due to the high degree of communication, ownership and service provided by Restoration and their partner companies of Insta-Insulation and Perfect Renovations – with special kudos to Alissa as the face of the job. No one wants to do these kind of jobs – but if you have to – these folks will get you through it in a great way.

    Problem with mold in our basement

    We had a mold problem in our basement and we contacted several companies for assessments. We chose Gabriel and his company because he was knowledgeable and he gave us a competitive quotation for the work. We only have positive comments to make about this company. Chris and his team did an outstanding job from beginning to the clean-up at the end. They were pleasant, hard working and answered all our questions during the process. We needed to contact Gabriel a few times and he always answered his phone in a timely manner. We would highly recommend this company.

    Basement Mould Removal

    We were very pleased with the work Canada's Restoration Services performed in the removal of wood, Gyprock, insulation, and flooring from our basement and the subsequent washing and treatment of the floors and walls due to a mould problem which has now been resolved. We were pleased to see that our floors were protected with plastic from the constant foot traffic between the basement through the kitchen area to the outside, that our upstairs air quality was preserved by the positioning of a Hepa filter in the kitchen, and that the installation of zippered door barriers kept dust and debris to a minimum. The team were all well mannered, courteous, and considerate, arriving on time and cleaning up when they left. The personal attention we received from Gabriel, the Ottawa manager, was most appreciated.

    restoration services following flooding

    On the evening of June 24, I arrived home at approximately 9:30pm to find my basement completely flooded. Neighbours and I began the frantic work of trying to sop the water up with a shop vac, towels and a bucket, with little or no success. Realizing we needed professional help and quickly, we called five restoration companies. Canada's Restoration Service, particularly Gabriel, was the only one to respond. In spite of the late hour and the fact that Gabriel had been working all day, he arrived at my house at the time he had promised, around midnight. He scoped out the situation, identified what needed to be done and almost more importantly, calmed us all down! He assured us he and his team would be back at 6:00 am to clean things up, and he was - in spite of not having had any sleep during the night! The team completed their work quickly, thoroughly and cleanly, including lifting and removing wet carpeting and under padding. Fans and humidifiers were set up in the basement and over the next two days, Gabriel checked in to see how the drying process was going. When he left on the last day, the basement was clean and dry. Throughout this whole procedure, Gabriel was a calming influence, always patient, thoughtful and sensitive to the stress I was experiencing. In fact, his entire team was friendly and professional. This was my first experience with this type of flooding and I had the good fortune to come across Canada's Restoration Services! Well done!

    basement leak

    Our basement started leaking large amounts of water and Aristides from Canada's Restoration services came within one hour of calling. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He offered unbiased advice and helped us to divert some of the leaking water immediately. I would recommend this company because they responded in a time sensitive fashion and went above and beyond an initial consultation to help us with our leak. Thank you!

    Mould Remediation in Attic

    My attic is approximately 750 square feet and had built up mould in the ceiling because the venting was inadequate. Canada Restoration and Insta Insulation teamed up to offer remediation and re-insulating services. The job was performed in early June when the weather can be all over the place. I scheduled the service well in advance and took leave from work so I could be around when the job was done. The company failed in two areas: 1. Prior to coming on site they failed to provide clear instructions on how to make sure the work area was to be prepared by the homeowner. I got a generic document by email the morning of and had to email them a few days before to get a timely heads up. 2. As soon as the workers came in they informed me that being a relatively warm and sunny day they would not likely be able to do much more than work site preparation and would have to be back the next day early morning to do the actual attic work after it cooled down overnight. They assured me that they would coordinate with the insulation company and that I would have no delays in the total job duration. Needless to say none of this coordination happened and the project was delayed by a day and blew another day of vacation. How a company that does so many jobs throughout the year cannot better plan for these eventualities is a real head scratcher. The job itself was performed to my satisfaction but the service rather pricey. Get multiple quotes if you plan on getting similar work done.

    mold removal

    they were great! called them up and they were here the next day for an inspection. they came out about 4 days later and had the job done quick,clean and left no mess. andrew has a great crew working with him. i highly recommend them! they are on the ball and do a great job at a good price. other companies took over a week before i could even get a quote
