    Refrigerator repair by Erick

    Erick(sorry of I misspelled your name) came same day to try to fix our refrigerator which had unusual cooling cycles. We were expecting a bad result and that we would have to replace the whole fridge due to the age, however, Erick came with the great news that it's a common issue and they he even had the part with him! He quickly and efficiently did the job and the fridge has been cooling perfectly ever since! Thanks fix appliances and thanks Erick!

    Service Call and Repair - Blomberg Washer- Replace Carbon Brushes

    We called Fix Appliances as our Blomberg washing machine wasn't working at all. When I called, we were able to schedule a service call the next day. Roman was able to immediately diagnose the issue and mentioned that he would deal with ordering the parts and be in touch with next steps. He communicated with us via calls/texts throughout the week providing updates and answering any questions we had. Within a week, he received the parts and called me same day to schedule the repair. The repair was completed smoothly and Roman fixed our washer far earlier than we had expected. If we have any issues with any of our appliances in the near future, we won't hesitate to reach out to Roman @ Fix Appliances.

    Dishonest Repair tech and poor customer support

    In Oct 2023 I had a repair technician for Fix Appliances come to my home to diagnose the problem with my GE fridge for $99. I needed to confirm it was the Mother Board that needed replacing. A job I felt I can do seeming its a plug a go part but needed confirmation it was just that. Once here he had told me it was the mother board but that part that needed programming to work with my fridge so I willingly had him back to replace it. I did check with GE Canada afterwards and that was not the case. It was a simple circuit board that is removed and replaced with no programming required. On a side not the part from GE Canada was under $170 retail and Fix Appliances charged me over $270. While here to change the part he also changed another part without permission and only told my wife that part also needed replacing once it was already in. This was after he already diagnosed the problem and it was never mentioned previously . Keep in mind we were already on the fence to replace the fridge if the costs were too high so this was unwelcome news but were already in deep at this point. While changing this part a water line was broken and was never noticed. I do accept that this can happen during a repair. When we turned the water back on and tried the water dispenser water was leaking from behind the fridge all over the floor. I contacted them once again and was told the Technician tested the water and it worked fine but they can come back for a fee to replace it. I removed the service cover on the back of the fridge and the broken water line was right next to the part they had replaced. He had never tested the water because the Tech even told my wife I needed to turn the water back when I get home. I never heard from them again until they offered me a credit for a $100. I declined that because the water line alone will cost me more than that and the offer to resolve this matter ended there. I found the Tech to be very dishonest and the company could care less to fix the problem and make it right. To further my story my fridge has since broke down since I first posted this review. I have requested my money back but they have not returned my email or refunded my money. They did however offer me $100 to remove this review. Something to think about when you see all 5 star reviews

It is sometimes needed to replace one part to see that another one is failing- this is what happened with your appliance: after replacing the main control board the technician found that the inverter board is faulty as well, he replaced both of them, tested the unit and found it in working order. However when you contacted us back soon with the issue of the broken water line inside of the fridge, the technician suspected the line was cracked under the pressure later and if it is so we offered you one more visit for $25 which would include the line and fitting. You unfortunately refused. Even though we again intended to offer you an extra $100 credit for any inconvenience which you refused as well. We tried all ways to help.     Dryer Repair

    Dryer broke on thanksgiving weekend. Gave the phone person the make and model of the dryer. Technician came on time on the first business day after the long weekend, assessed the issue, had the parts in truck, serviced dryer and replaced broken parts that same day. This is the third time Ive used them for different appliances. All three times the technicians were polite, donned boot covers, and explained the issue before proceeding with repair. All three times they were able to do the repair the same day.

    Amazing service! Very Kind!!

    Sergey was the technician who came to fix our dryer, he was extremely sweet, considerate, and nice. The customer service rep was very sweet and friendly as well! Amazing experience overall and I would 1000% recommend it to others!

    Chest Freezer Repair

    FIx our oven

    Serge was able o come earlier than booked, which was very helpful. He fixed the problem for us so that we were able to use the oven for dinner. Thank you Serge, you were great!

    LG Dishwasher Repaired

    I bought a LG Dishwasher from Costco and had to call in a warranty repair for loud growling noises that sounded like a motor was dying. FixAppliances sent Mike over to replace the dishwasher pump. Super professional work and polite to boot. Cost out of pocket was $0 as this was a warranty repair. I'll happily use this company again.

    Samsung Fridge

    Everything was getting frozen I got this Company that came to change the Main Control Board Assembly.

You originally contacted us with the complaint that your fridge was freezing the food and making a noise. The appointment for a tech inspection visit was booked for the next day and after the visit you were provided with the Repair Estimate where it was stated that "after the Main Control Board replacement, a full diagnostic would need to be performed, there might extra parts be needed" 2 weeks later you called us approving the Estimate. In less than a week the technician got the part and completed the part replacement. 1 more week later we have been contacted by you again with the persisting issue, the technician was sent for a Free visit when he confirmed that an additional part would be required (probability which you were advised about in the first Estimate). We did everything we could however you took a decision do not install the additional part. Therefore the claim regarding the not completed fridge repair can not be accepted.
