    Appliance repair

    Mayor was early, which was great, professional and knowledgeable. Their prices may be a bit high but for the service and warranty I would recommend them again. So far the washing machine is working and will update review if necessary.

    Fridge repair service

    Mayor came in and assessed the fridge informed me of all possible problem scenarios and solutions for each potential problem. In the end he figured it was a relay problem and replaced the part.

    fridge repair

    fridge part stopped cooling but freezer was still working okay. Went online to request service was called the same day and repair done by 4 pm drain hose and board replaced.

    Dishwasher Maintenance

    The technician came on time as expected and was very efficient. He explained to me the issue and priced out what it would cost. He showed me the finish product and the dishwasher now works great. He was friendly and patient as I asked questions.

    Unprofessional company

    We had a washer repair person visit in the evening. He told us we'd need a specific part. This was at 7pm. At 9am the next morning, I called and said we wanted to cancel the part order before it was placed because we were going to buy a new washer instead. I was told a manager would call me back. No call back. Called again at 2:30 pm and was told a manager would call me back, and texted the repair person himself. No reply from anybody. My husband finally reached the repair person on the phone at 6pm. He said he'd look into it. The next morning we get a call that we are on the hook for a $60 restock fee. The customer service rep who took my first call should have handled this request for me in a timely manner. Not tell me a manager will call me back - only to never hear from him. Because they were not prompt addressing my request, I have to pay $60. I find this unacceptable and will not use this company again. There are many other repair people to choose from.

    Never again, Ottawa Area

    An almost new fridge that stopped working properly in 14 months. Called Express Repair. Paid $325.00 for a new motor fan after 2 visits as the part had to be ordered. Nothing changed. The fridge ices up and has to be turned off completely and defrosted every 3 weeks. Still exactly the same. I called back and no response. It's been a month. I emailed at least 5 times to even get a copy of my bill. Something very wrong here. $325 for a fan motor that changed nothing. No response for a call back, yes I think they block your phone number. Never again.

    Refrigerator repair

    This company makes an expensive repair, then make promises if the repair did not correct the problem they would apply monies spent to correctly repair your appliance. When you call into the company telling them they did noit fix your appliance properly they tell you the manager will get back to you. At that point they black ball your phone number. Trust me, I used five different phone numbers, got the same response from the same person answering the phone five times, no call back from the so called manager. I am out $400. Please use another repair company. October 29, 2017 It has been three weeks since this review, I am still waiting for this company to contact me!

    Mistakenly identified problem with warm fridge + unreasonably inflated price for the part

    Sep 26, 2017. I have an update on my original review. The owner of the company (Igor) called today and offered a refund of the service call charge, given the fact that no service was performed. Taking this into consideration, I update my initial rating to nine stars - for taking full responsibility and resolving the situation to the best outcome possible. Sep 15, 2017. I do not recommend this company. Here’s why. I had a problem with my fridge which stopped maintaining cold temperature (freezer was working fine). This is my experience with EXPRESS REPAIR company's service on September 15, 17. The technician (Ivan) came on time. Once he removed the back panel he did the visual inspection and said that the source of problem is “most likely the thermostat-defroster”. He did not perform the continuity test with multimeter to determine whether its faulty or not. When I asked if he was sure about his diagnosis, he said “if it's not this, then its something else and we will look into it then”. Despite advertisement, he did not have the new part with him, so offered to come back next day and said it would take “15 mins to do the job”. The price for the job was quoted as $120 for the part (thermostat-defroster) and $160 labor charge., total $280 all in. I wanted the repair to be done the same day, so I paid him $67.80 service call charge and declined the service. And I am so glad I did. The very same day I went to a local parts store in Mississauga and bought thermostat-defroster for $28.16 (see pictures included). I understand that mark-ups are part of doing the business but FOUR TIMES the actual price?!? Unacceptable. The worst part though – another technician came in the evening and replaced a completely different detail – Evaporator fan motor kit at the back of the freezer (pic incl.) and it fixed the problem! The fridge is cool and working fine. Verdict – questionable competence and indecently inflated prices for parts. Not trustworthy.

    Dryer repair

    Dryer heat was shutting off before clothes were dry. Called repairman who told me it was because of a blocked vent. He cleaned out the vent and charged me $220 plus tax. Seemed a little steep, but fine. I even tipped him because I was so happy to get a working dryer again. Except that he stayed only long enough to confirm that the heat was coming on (which it did in the first place) but after the left, it cut off again. I called the next day to tell the company that the dryer still wasn't working. Spoke to someone who told me the "manager" would call me right back. No call. I tried 3-4 more times over the next two days and got voicemail but couldn't leave a message because it was full. On the fourth day, called and spoke to the same person who told me the manager would call me back "within minutes". Still no call after FIVE days from these guys and no working dryer. I finally had to call a different company who found the actual problem, which was a bad gas valve coil - and charged me $200. Stay far away from Express Repair. They show up, do nothing helpful, take your money and then you can't get ahold of them. Incredibly unprofessional, bordering on criminal.
