    fridge repair

    I emailed and spoke with Peter regarding my fridge which did not keep its temperature. He correctly diagnosed the problem, brought the part with him and repaired the fridge. Great service!

    Stove top shorted out

    My electric cooktop flashed and banged when we tried to turn it on. One email to Peter at Modern Appliance and he had a good idea what the problem was. The first visit had the problem fully diagnosed and restored function to 1/2 the burners. The send visit got everything else working.

    Fridge repair after black out

    I also am in the service business, not appliances though and Peter from Modern Appliances knew this. I called him New Years eve after I received a panic call from my parents that their fridge quit working after a black out. Being familiar with electrical work myself I was able to repair the fridge with guidance from Peter over the phone. This may sound odd but let me tell you that after my family has been in the service industry for over 50 years, to have someone like Peter, who is a true professional, guide me to make a successful repair over the phone is very rare. This shows how honest, knowledgeable & professional he is. He is a true credit to his trade and anyone using him for their appliance repair needs does not have to worry about being taken for a ride. This guy is the real deal. Thanks Peter

    Fridge Repair

    Sent a service email in the evening and received a prompt response, with an explanation site unseen of what the issue was. Service was conducted the following morning and all was fixed. Wonderful Service

    To the rescue once again!

    I have had the opportunity (and was /am glad for it) to engage Modern Appliance when we first took occupancy of our newly acquired (2013) home. The review for said engagement can be found on Home Stars. On this visit, like the first visit Peter was amazing (please note that this visit included proactive legwork on M.A.'s part as we had to source parts as I have a stove that is uncommon in CAN.). Once they arrived the turn around time was incredibly quick. Peter arrived and in minutes the ice maker was up and running and he turned his attention to the stove. Every step was explained in detail as per my request (I am sure he is happy to entertain "silent running mode" if you require). He was also generous enough to let me have some time to clean the stove thoroughly while he waited as this presented a good opportunity to access that would normally be an effort. Everything is working perfectly and you couldn't hope to deal with a more skilled professional who is also incredibly affable and willing to share the process. THANKS Peter!!

    Gas oven repair

    My stove is pretty old and I wasn't sure if it could be repaired. Peter was helpful and diligent in searching for the proper solution to fixing my gas oven. He tracked down the right part and was able to install it sooner than I expected. Thank you very much!

    Repaired Refrigerator, range, Dishwasher

    I've known Peter for over 10 years and has been servicing everything from my furnace to my air conditioner and all my appliance needs I called Pete this time to repair my dishwasher, refrigerator, and slide in range As always he came prepared and the work was done at a very fair price Everything was up and running and I was back in business Thanks again Peter for your great work!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!

    Repair KitchenAid dishwasher for my client.

    Unmatched Service

    Peter is the only service person I've dealt with who first tries to help you solve the problem yourself. When my dishwasher stopped draining, he asked me if I was handy, then led me step by step through the process of replacing the pump, including where to buy a new one. During my first attempt at installation, there was a problem with leaks, so I e-mailed Peter and got a prompt response back, as well as a follow-up phone call. In a world of often mediocre service, Peter is a breath of fresh air.

    Dishwasher repair

    From my first contact with Peter I felt like I was in good hands. He was courteous, professional, and genuinely keen to help solve what was a very inconvenient problem for me! I was very impressed with the entire experience, from first contact right through to the swift resolution. I especially appreciated that he took the time to explain the root of the problem, and the approach he was taking to fix it so that I wouldn't experience future issues. Peter exemplifies the best characteristics of a good business person and I would absolutely recommend him as your best first call in the event you need work done and he'll be the only call I make the next time I need help with an appliance.
