    Washer Repair

    Peter was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The cost wasn't ideal but they seemed to provide a better rate than other repair companies I contacted. I will definitely use Modern Appliance for any future appliance repairs and would recommend them to others.

    Dryer repair

    Peter replaced the parts in my 20 year-old dyer that were starting to wear out and it is running like new. Peter is very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and reliable. The cost was very reasonable for the service provided.

    Dishwasher Repair

    Not the first time I've called Peter and I'm sure that it won't be the last. He's a pleasure to deal with and he really knows his appliances. My dishwasher leaked the first time I ran it after moving into a used condo. Peter knew where it had leaked from before he even opened it up. He recommended a new dishwasher rather than a repair to the old dishwasher as he felt that would be in my best interest.

    Dishwasher Install

    Removed old dishwasher which had been incorrectly installed by another company. Installed, balanced and tested new Bosch dishwasher which included installing braided fill line and re connecting electrical. Modern Appliance does great work and appointments are usually scheduled in two days or less.

    Appliance check and repair

    I found Peter from Modern Appliance via HomeStars, and had him service a washing machine for a rental condo we own. He was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He replaced a cracked draw hose from the washer, and while there checked the other appliances at my request with our tenant to ensure they are in good working order. He then emailed me both the invoice, and description of the condition of each appliance. Would use him again!

    Washing machine repair

    In a world with a seemingly lower emphasis on customer care (especially in appliance repair), Peter was a breath of fresh air. He was professional, courteous and patient through the whole process. Our washing machine did not enter a high-speed spin, so we called up Peter. He provided great phone support as a courtesy and informed us of our options. His tips temporarily fixed our issue but the problem was still strangely intermittent. In short notice Peter came by to assess the problem, anticipating the solution - bringing potential replacement parts. He was thorough in his investigation, swapped the door lock, which was acting strange and everything has worked since. His pricing was more than fair and worth every penny. We highly recommend him!

    Fridge ice maker repair

    Peter repaired the ice maker in my fridge. This is the second time he has repaired an appliance for me. Just like last time, he diagnosed the likely problem over the phone and came with the right part so he wouldn't need to make a second trip. He is professional, courteous, and knows appliances inside/ out.

    Appliance repair

    I have called on this company multiple times to fix my aging appliances. Peter is very friendly and very knowledgeable. When I first called to enquirer about fixing my freezer, he gave me free advice on things I can do first like a reset of the appliance. Only when it absolutely did not work, Peter came to my home to fix it. The other major companies wanted to charge hundreds just for a diagnostic. With Modern Appliance the price was reasonable, I sent a photo of my freezer make & model and Peter made one visit with all the parts needed for the job. I am very pleased with the service level, professionalism, and friendly customer service.

    Whirlpool thin twin washer

    Very responsive, detailed communicator and very professional. Excellent experience working with Peter. He did exactly what he promised and prompt availability as well. Will definitely keep contact as go-to contractor.

    appliance repair

    Peter is professional, reliable and an all around great person to work with. We have called him several times (some of our appliances are quite old) and he always provides us with an immediate breakdown of services needed and parts required. He is honest and works hard to find parts at a great cost and his service fees are worth every cent. We have had only positive experiences with Peter and I would recommend him to anyone that needs this type of service. We feel very lucky to have found him.
