    fridge repair

    Peter is knowledgeable, prompt, and shows up when he says. He knows his stuff, and seems fair and honest. Found him on Homestars, and happy that I did. Fixed a GE fridge with freezer/ problem, and noisy motor on our freezer. Arrived promptly after the call, and again once the parts arrived. He didn't even charge for the noisy motor adjustment. Another repair facility arranged by the manufacturer on a separate warranty issue/different appliance didn't even show up in the allotted 5 hour time frame - nor the next day when promised at rescheduled time. So Modern Appliance was a welcome change from that.

    Dishwasher Servicing

    Had 2 busted dishwashers. Called several repair people before and all flaked/misdiagnosed the issue. Peter came in, fixed the dishwasher and assessed the actual issue with our second dishwasher. Polite, prompt and professional.

    appliance repair

    Peter was able to determine the problem with our oven simply by our phone conversation. He came with the required replacement part as well as an additional part that may have also been a problem. Very knowledgeable and quick. Highly recommed!!

    Appliance repair

    Peter arrived on time with the parts that might be required. He fixed the problem without unnecessarily installing, or charging, for unneeded parts. He was very professional and I was very satisfied.

    Bosch Dishwasher Repair

    After a weeklong vacation, we found our Bosch dishwasher (model SHX55M05UC) was mouldy and had stopped draining. Peter was very responsive by phone and suggested a few ways we might fix the problem on our own. They didn't work, so within a few days he dropped by for a service call. He cleaned the mould, replaced the fill hose and draw pump, and replaced the soap dispenser (which we knew wasn't closing properly and was leaking rinse agent). Tip: don't go on a trip and leave dirty dishes in a closed dishwasher. A few days after the repair, the machine wasn't cleaning pots well on the bottom rack. Peter helped troubleshoot over the phone and we found the water dispenser had come apart slightly, likely because we had cleaned it before the repair or because it had caught on a dish handle. We snapped the dispenser back together and all has been great since. Highly recommend Peter and Modern Appliance.

    Kitchen appliances repair

    I found Peter to be most courteous. He gave intuitive and thorough explanations about our stove/oven (Kenmore Elite) and fridge (Kitchenaid) repairs. He replaced our convection fan (just in time for Thanksgiving). Recommended against rushing into stovetop element replacement despite having arrived with parts, ready to proceed. He pointed out they still function pretty well, and suggested we just monitor their performance for the time being. This saved us considerable money and we really appreciated his honesty and integrity. Our fridge and range niw works well, and we'd absolutely recommend Peter for reliable repairs and courteous approach to terrific customer service! Thank you!

    Washing Machine Repair

    Peter came in and, with little disruption, got it done. There was no runaround on when we could schedule an appointment. We scheduled an appointment, he was there, did the repair quickly, tested it himself, and was in and out. Plus, I've had nightmare repairmen who used my kitchen towels to clean up stuff. None of that with Peter (thank you)! He didn't make a mess of my home or ask for scraps of cloth. Even when he washed his hands, he refused to use the hand towel, because he knew he might get grease on it.

    Repair leaking dishwasher

    We discovered our five-year-old Bosch dishwasher was leaking from around the door. Peter described in detail various possible issues that could be causing the leak and offered useful information on how dishwashers work and what can go wrong. He made some adjustments to the door seal and better levelled the dishwasher. He thoroughly tested for leaks after the work was done. In the 2 months since his visit, it hasn't leaked again. We're very happy with how little Peter charged for a great service.

    Fridge: Defrost regulator replaced

    Peter is polite, clear, and a good communicator. He has expert knowledge, and an ease in his manner. Right away, you know you're in good hands. He diagnosed the problem with our fridge over the phone, and gave instructions about what to do to prepare for the replacement part. He came a few days later, on time, and switched out the part quickly. Although Modern Appliance wasn't the cheapest company I called, the price was fair and well worth it. For ease of mind and a painless experience, I will go back to them should I need their services again. Peter is awesome.

    Fridge Repair

    Wow... so impressed with Peter and Modern Appliance. Called to see if they could come out to fix my parents' fridge and Peter was able to diagnose the issue over the phone and then was at my door just hours later!!! It is now up and working and I am so happy with everything Peter did! Will definitely be keeping Modern Appliance on my vendor list! Thanks Peter!
